Extracurricular Trips a. Employees assigned to extracurricular field trips as determined by Article 19 - 19.6, shall be paid at the established rate provided for in the salary schedule for such trips. For hours worked over forty (40) in a work week employees will be paid at one and a half times the weighted average hourly rate for that work week.

Extracurricular Trips. Extracurricular trips shall be posted in the bus garage for five (5) days unless in case of emergency or short notice pop up trips, assignments shall be awarded by seniority on a rotation basis, as follows: If a senior employee declines a trip, his/her name shall be dropped to the end of the seniority list, and that employee will not be offered another trip until all remaining employees have been offered the opportunity in seniority order to take a trip in rotation. (Example: The most senior employee drives a trip; the next most senior employee shall be offered the next trip, etc.) To ensure all bus routes are covered, the Transportation Supervisor/Coach may drive the trip, only when there are not enough sub bus drivers to cover the routes. Drivers may trade trips, if they choose among themselves, and have approval of Transportation Director.
Extracurricular Trips. 1. When traveling on extra-curricular trips (all in county and out of county field trips only – not to include before/after school busses returning students home or to regular drop-off destinations), bus drivers will be paid their normal hourly rate plus $1.00 per hour up to reaching a 40 hour workweek after which they will receive time and a half for each hour beyond 40 hours. If the trip requires an overnight stay, a driver will be paid according to the salary schedule for driving or duty time. The total hours paid shall not include sleeping time. Drivers of out of town field trips shall receive reimbursement for meals and lodging at the current State rate. The proper district travel reimbursement forms will have to be submitted in order to be reimbursed. Arrangements for lodging shall be made by the trip sponsor.
