Family Leave/Parental Leave. After one (1) year of employment, an otherwise eligible employee may take a leave of absence in accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and/or the Minnesota Parental Leave Act, if applicable. The Employer shall have discretion to establish rules, etc. regarding FMLA/Parental Leave as permitted by law. Leaves under various statues shall be taken concurrently unless otherwise required under law.

Family Leave/Parental Leave. The family medical and parental leave provisions herein are available to teachers employed at least .5 FTE, regardless of their length of service with the District. Leave hereunder shall run concurrent with any statutory family medical leave or parental leave for which a teacher may be eligible under the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) or Vermont’s Parental and Family Leave Act (VPFLA). This Article does not create additional leave entitlements for eligible employees beyond those established by statute.
Family Leave/Parental Leave. After completion of one (1) year of employment, a leave of absence without pay shall be granted upon request of the nurse for a period of up to six (6) months following the birth of a natural child, adopted child or to care for a terminally ill child or spouse without loss of benefits accrued to the date such leave commences. Except in special circumstances, employees must give at least thirty (30) days’ advance written notice of parental leave. The Employer shall guarantee the nurse’s position if the nurse returns from leave on or before the first day of the thirteenth week. If the nurse elects not to return to work at that time, the nurse when returning from the leave of absence will then be offered the first available opening for which the nurse is qualified. Family leave shall be consistent with and subject to the conditions and limitations set forth by state law.
Family Leave/Parental Leave. The Company agrees to abide by the requirements set out by the Canada Labour Code. The Company will grant an extension of this leave of absence for valid reasons and provided it does not unduly affect operations. Employees will retain their seniority for all the time off in this regard.

  • Maternity Leave/Parental Leave Adoption Leave (Effective for maternity and/or parental leaves that commenced before May 1, 2019)

  • Parental Leave (a) An employee who becomes a parent, and who has been employed for at least thirteen (13) weeks immediately preceding the date of the birth of child or the date the child first came into care or custody of the employee, shall be entitled to parental leave.

The ability to take leave ceases when a xxxxxx placement ceases unless the need for additional leave is directly connected to the previous placement.

  • Maternity/Parental Leave The term of the temporary posting shall be for the term of the illness or maternity/parental leave but shall not exceed eighteen (18) continuous months.

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Parental Leave of Absence A. A female unit member may use any or all accumulated leave during pre- and post-natal care for that period of time she is temporarily disabled, as determined by the unit member and her physician.
