Health and Wellness Program. The College will provide a Health and Wellness Program (HWP) for employees. The HWP will provide at no charge to the employees services including, but not limited to, physical assessments, stress management programs, nutrition counseling, smoking cessation services, biometric measurements, and access to the College’s fitness facilities. Employees will be encouraged, but not required, to participate in Health and Wellness programming. All medical data collected through participation in the HWP will remain confidential, the College making no claim to access such data, pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) rules and standards.

2. The parties agree to convene the Faculty/Administration Communication Team at least once a year to aid in the development of a Health and Wellness Program.
3. Employees will be encouraged, but not required, to participate in Health and Wellness programming which may be offered. Such programming may include a combination of activities designed to increase health education and awareness, assess risks, and promote voluntary behavior changes to improve individual health, enhance individual well-being and productivity, and contribute to preventing illness and injury.
4. All medical data collected through participation in any wellness programs that may be offered will remain confidential, the College making no claim to access such data, pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) rules and standards.
Health and Wellness Program. The company will maintain a Health and Wellness Program to a maximum cost of two hundred dollars ($200.00) every two (2) fiscal years for each full time employee, and a pro rata amount in respect of employees who work less than full time hours. In consultation with the Executive members of the Association, a set of criteria to be applicable to the program will be reviewed once per contract agreement.
Health and Wellness Program. The most vital resource of any fire department is its members. The IAFF/IAFC Wellness Fitness Initiative in concert with the NFPA standards identified in this Article are to be considered in a process aimed at improving members’ health and wellness. The intent is to reduce the risk and burden of fire service morbidity and mortality while improving the welfare of the fire fighters. Implemented as a positive individualized program that is non-punitive, all components results are measured against the individual’s previous examinations and assessments and not against any standard or norm. However, medical practice standards may be used when results indicate that lifesaving intervention is required. The parties hereby agree that the fire department shall establish and provide a health-related fitness program (WFI) that enables members to develop and maintain a level of health and fitness to safely perform their assigned functions. The intent of this program is to promote health and fitness in a “mandatory, non-punitive” manner. Mandatory, non-punitive implies a program with universal participation; however, failure to achieve defined individual fitness objectives should not be the basis for any employment sanctions, discipline or other punitive actions. However, failure to participate could result in discipline pursuant to Article 9. The fitness assessment conducted under this provision will take into consideration components of the IAFF/IAFC WFI and NFPA 1583 – 6.4 which list the following components:
1. Body composition
2. Muscular strength
3. Muscular endurance
4. Flexibility WFI protocols shall not be used to establish a pass/fail criterion in any of the components and are prohibited from being utilized to make medically fit/unfit determinations.
Health and Wellness Program a. The Indian Health Service has already established Health and Wellness Committees to develop and implement comprehensive programs at the work site that may include health assessment, fitness activities and facilities, nutrition, stress management, reduction of tobacco use, and alcohol and chemical dependency.
b. If already established, the Union can designate a union representative for the committee. If additional committees are established, the Union can designate a union representative for the committee.
c. Management agrees to provide the following services: initial treatment of an on-the-job illness, and dental conditions requiring emergency attention; pre-employment or other examinations; referral of employees to private physicians and dentists; and preventive programs relating to health.
d. Each facility where employees are exposed to chemical or biological hazards will implement a medical surveillance program in accordance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Health and Wellness Program. Cuyahoga Community College is committed to providing faculty and staff with integrated and comprehensive health and wellness programs and services to support a healthy and productive workforce and healthy college environment. This will be attained through integrated wellness programs, resources, and incentives that promote the importance of maintaining an optimal quality of life and fostering a culture of health and wellness. The College will offer online resources and campus activities designed to help faculty and staff, and members of their families, to pro- actively manage and monitor their health. Participants will earn rewards by engaging in healthy activities, team challenges, and completing health risk assessments (HRAs) and achieving health-related milestones.
Health and Wellness Program. The Good Life Program
Health and Wellness Program. Employees shall participate in a Wellness/Fitness program conducted by a mutually agreed upon provider.
Health and Wellness Program. The following pertain to full‐time employees eligible for health care benefits and participating in the College’s Health and Wellness program. Specifically:
1. Health and Wellness credits will be earned consistent with all full‐time College employees.
2. Employees may have earned Health and Wellness credits added towards their flexible benefit credits (“credits”) as detailed in the collective bargaining agreement.
3. Health and Wellness credits will be earned on a calendar year basis and either paid as taxable income or added on a pre‐tax basis to the “credits” for the following year.
4. The College reserves the right to continue/discontinue/modify the Health and Wellness program. In the event the Health and Wellness program is determined to be no longer economically feasible or beneficial and is to be discontinued, the College will provide the Union ninety (90) calendar days advance written notice and will meet with the Union concerning the effects of discontinuance on the bargaining unit members. The meeting will be held within ten (10) calendar days after the written notice is provided.
