HOURS AND CALENDAR. 15.1 The Calendar Committee appointed by the Superintendent shall develop a district school calendar to be recommended to the Superintendent. Two members of this committee will be appointed by the W CS P President and two members by the Superintendent. The Board shall also appoint one (1) of its members to serve on the committee. Before April 1 of each year, this committee shall meet and confer to recommend a tentative school calendar to the Superintendent and the Board. 15.2 Employees shall be entitled to paid holidays according to the length of their annual assignment. Employees shall receive pay equal to their regular hourly rate in effect at the time of the holiday. Should a holiday occur while an employee is on annual leave, the day shall not be deducted from the employee’s accumulated annual leave. In instances that the holiday falls on a weekend, it shall be scheduled on the following Monday or the preceding Friday. Employees assigned to work a twelve (12) month schedule each year shall have paid holidays to be determined by the Calendar Committee. 15.3 Employees may submit a written request to review their workload to their immediate supervisor by March 15. The District agrees to annually evaluate employees’ workload and make appropriate workday adjustments as needed.

HOURS AND CALENDAR. 8.01 The Board reserves the right to annually establish the number of hours and the length of the work year for all employees as recommended by the Superintendent. 8.02 Regular full-time employees are entitled to full insurance benefits provided in this Contract. Full-time and part- time employees as defined by Article 1.02 are entitled to sick and annual leave benefits as provided in this Contract. All regular employees are entitled to participate in the Florida Retirement System as provided in this Contract and State law. 8.03 The typical employee work year for school aides and instructional paraprofessionals will consist of 185 work days within the approved calendar year. Employees classified as interpreters will have a work year of 194 days. The ten additional interpreter workdays shall coincide with teacher planning days. Duties for these days shall consist of site-related responsibilities and workshops as directed and approved by the site administrator. 8.04 An employee shall be given written notice of his/her employment status for the forthcoming school year/fiscal year no later than ten (10) working days before the final day of the employee’s school year/fiscal year contract. In the event changes in an employee’s appointment are proposed, the employee affected shall be notified in writing within five (5) working days. The employer reserves the right to adjust hours of work to meet program needs.
HOURS AND CALENDAR. 20.5.1 A full-time assignment in Adult Education is defined as 33.75 hours per five day week and a half-time assignment is defined as twenty (20) hours per five - day week. 20.5.2 The hours of a full-time Adult Education Teacher shall consist of two 195-minute blocks with a fifteen minute break in each block. 20.5.3 Section 6.16 shall not apply to Adult Education Teachers. 20.5.4 Faculty and departmental meetings will be in accordance with the regular teachers' meeting schedule. 20.5.5 The calendar shall consist of (182) working days (180 teaching days plus two (2) student contact days) in each year of this Agreement (the Adult School Calendar shall be as listed in 6.18).

Food service personnel shall be hired for a minimum of six (6) hours. 2. Clerical/secretarial personnel shall work a seven (7) hour day. 3. Teacher Aides/Paraprofessionals shall work a seven (7) hour day. 4. Bus mechanics shall work an eight (8) hour day. During summer months, all bus mechanics will work a ten (10) hour day. 5. Maintenance personnel shall work an eight (8) hour day. No current employee will have his or her work hours reduced except through a RIF. 15.3 Employees shall be entitled to paid holidays according to the schedule in Appendix D. Employees shall receive pay equal to their regular hourly rate in effect at the time of the holiday.   • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • Academic Calendar The academic calendar of each university shall be established by the President. Prior to establishing or making changes in the calendar, the President/designee shall afford opportunity to meet and confer with the Association.

  • Calendar Year Calendar Year" for the purposes of this Agreement shall mean the twelve (12) month period from January 1st to December 31st, inclusive.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Hours Worked For the purpose of computing the number of hours worked, all time during which an employee is in paid status shall be construed as hours worked.

  • Unbroken Vacation Period An Employee shall receive an unbroken period of vacation unless mutually agreed upon between the Employee and the Employer.
