Labor-Management Relations Training. 1. UNION SPONSORED TRAINING SESSIONS:
Labor-Management Relations Training. Labor-management relations training taken during the representative's normal duty hours will count against that representative's monthly allotment of official time. However, representatives on 20% official time may use up to 40 additional hours above the allotment for such training every three years. Representatives on 20% official time may be granted additional time to perform representational duties during the month in which the training occurred upon the request of the Council President and the agreement of the Senior Labor-Relations Specialist.
Labor-Management Relations Training. Section 1. Training Time Management agrees to grant official time to employees who are officially designated Stewards or elected/appointed Union officials, workload permitting, to training which management and the Union agree are of mutual concern and benefit, designed to advise representatives on matters relating to their representational duties within the scope of the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Program Statute. Requests for training under this Article must be submitted in writing, through the immediate supervisor, to the OMI Director of the respective Center for determination thirty (30) days prior to the designated training date. The request will contain pertinent information regarding the duration, purpose, nature of the training, plus a justification of mutual concern and benefit. The Union is limited to a total one hundred twenty (120) hours every calendar year for this purpose. Individual employees are limited forty (40) hours every calendar year. Management may grant additional official time at their discretion.

The Employer agrees to grant official time to Union representatives for the purpose of attending Union sponsored and/or other training sessions, provided the training will be of mutual benefit to both parties. At the discretion of the Associate Medical Center Director, Cemetery Director, or Canteen Chief employees may be permitted to attend training sponsored by the Union as cited below:

Labor-Management Relations Training. 18-1 UNION-SPONSORED TRAINING SESSIONS. The Employer agrees to grant official time to employees who are Union officials for the purpose of attending Union-sponsored and other training sessions, provided the training is mutually beneficial, and is of concern to the employees in their capacities as Union representatives. Official time for this purpose will not exceed sixty (60) hours per Union official, 240 hours total, per fiscal year, unless mutually agreed. A written request for official time will be submitted at least (30) thirty days in advance, where possible, by the Vice- President/Chief Xxxxxxx to the State Director. The request will contain information about the duration, purpose, and nature of the training. The Union is free to distribute the hours available to it during a year in any way it sees fit, as long as the training involves labor-management relations and is mutually beneficial.
