Leadership Positions. (Positions of Responsibility)
21.01 Leadership Positions shall be allocated to all schools (exclusive of Adult H. S. and Alternative Sites) on the following basis: Previous Year's School Number of Leadership Positions Enrolment (31 October) under 900 six (6) Heads 900 - 1,149 seven (7) Heads 1,150 - or more eight (8) Heads The Adult High School shall be entitled to four (4) Heads.
Leadership Positions. In determining the equity of workload, the Principal, in consultation with the ISSC, should consider the following; the number of sections, subjects, teachers and program responsibilities. In making adjustments to program responsibilities and subject responsibilities for leadership positions, the Principal will consult with the ISSC. Where the school’s leadership entitlement is decreasing, the Principal, in consultation with the ISSC, will review the structure.
Leadership Positions. Preschool Directors
Leadership Positions. 6.1 Leadership position means any position filled for the time being by any teacher classified as Band 2.
Leadership Positions. The School Administrator shall determine leadership positions for each school in its sole discretion at the annual rates of $1,000, $1,500, or $2,500. In the event that the School Administrator determines that a leadership position is required, notice of such opportunity and the applicable stipend amount shall be provided at the applicable school location. The School Administrator shall select the successful candidate from among those teachers expressing interest.
Leadership Positions. A. For the term of this Agreement the bargaining unit members, holding the following leadership positions, shall be compensated at the rate of five hundred dollars ($500.00) payable at the end of the year for their work as grade level, department, or school improvement chairpersons. It is expressly understood the filling of the position for a grade level, department or school improvement chairperson is voluntary. The kinds of positions are as follows:
1. One (1) person per grade level, kindergarten through sixth grade, shall be compensated for leading and representing their grade in monthly grade level meetings and as a member of the District Curriculum Committee.
2. One (1) person, per department, at each secondary school for Math, Science, Language Arts, Health/P.E., Social Studies, and Business/Computers shall be compensated to provide leadership and representation at the monthly department meetings and as a member of the District Curriculum Committee.
3. One
(1) person at each building shall be compensated to facilitate the school improvement efforts in cooperation with the building administrator.
4. One (1) K-12 representative for each specialty area, explicitly including the districts Arts, Media, and Music/Band programs.
5. One (1) K-6 and one (1) 7-12 Special Education representative to provide leadership and representation at the monthly department meetings and as a member of the District Curriculum Committee.
B. The monthly meetings listed in this Article shall not violate Article 4, Section E of this Agreement.
C. Professional leadership activities may include, but are not limited to: planning group meetings, relaying information between the curriculum department and representative groups, participation on the District Curriculum Council, coordination of professional or curriculum development with the building Principal and/or Curriculum Director, preparation of minutes, conducting implementation or orientation workshops at meetings and fostering school improvement.
Leadership Positions. A. In an effort to promote teacher leadership within the District, teachers are encouraged to participate in building and district leadership roles. Professional leadership activities may include, but are not limited to: planning group meetings, relaying information between the curriculum department and representative groups, participation on the District Improvement Team, coordination of professional or curriculum development with the building Principal and/or Curriculum Director, preparation of minutes, conducting implementation or orientation workshops at meetings and fostering school improvement.
B. At the beginning of the school year, each building principal and the school improvement/leadership team will mutually agree upon the meeting schedule for the school year, including the maximum number of required meetings outside contractual hours. Members of school improvement/leadership team meetings will have the option to rotate participation at monthly district-level improvement team meetings.
C. For the term of this Agreement the bargaining unit members, holding the following leadership positions, shall receive compensation payable at the end of the year for their work as teacher leaders. It is expressly understood the filling of a teacher leadership position is voluntary. The following compensation is allocated to each building:
1. Nine (9) high school department chairs will each receive $500 for providing leadership within the department. These include mathematics, English language arts, science, social studies, health/physical education, special education, world languages, applied arts (business, technology, life management), and fine arts (art, music, theater).
2. Additionally, $1000 is allocated to the high school for additional leadership positions.
3. XxXxxx Middle School is allocated $3000 for teacher leadership positions.
4. Xxxxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxx School, and Xxxxxxx Road Elementary are each allocated $2000 for teacher leadership positions.
Leadership Positions. Counselors assigned to leadership positions in Junior High and Senior High Schools shall be compensated monthly as explained in 14.2 of this Agreement. Duties assigned are within the scope of the school day. Unit members who have abandoned the extra service pay assignment will be removed from the position. Leadership Positions. Teachers serving in leadership positions shall be compensated per the following classifications: Class I $650 Class II $1,300 Class III $1,600
Leadership Positions. A. Department chairpersons shall receive 8% of the BA tract based on the number of years experience as department chair for years one through five, and on the BA+10 tract for succeeding years.
B. The amount shall be paid in addition to the teacher's contracted salary in equal amounts according to the method selected by that teacher for regular payment of salary (either in 21 or 26 paychecks). This amount shall be indicated on the individual contract that the teacher receives as a rider to that contract as consideration for the additional curriculum development work.
C. Activity Percentage
D. Percentages are based on the number of years in the designated leadership position in the Hartland Consolidated Schools, applied to the base level of the BA tract (first year through five years on the BA tract, and succeeding years on the BA+10 tract).
E. The percentages are to be paid in addition to the teacher's contracted salary in equal amounts according to the method selected by that teacher for regular payment of salary (either in 21 or 26 paychecks) or as a lump sum after completion of the sponsored event. When payment is made over 21 or 26 paychecks, this amount shall be indicated on the individual contract that the teacher receives as a rider to that contract as consideration for the additional Leadership Position.
