Rotation Schedule. A call to the Towing Company shall constitute one turn on the rotation schedule and the Towing Company shall be moved to the bottom of the list. This includes when the Towing Company fails to answer the phone, is unable to respond, is unable to perform the required service, refuses to respond or provide service, fails to show, or is canceled due to excess response time. If it is determined the Towing Company is not needed and is cancelled by the LHCPD, up to and including arrival on scene and standby time which does not result in a tow, there shall be no charges and the Towing Company shall be placed back at the top of the list. If the Towing Company responds to a LHCPD call and is canceled by the Vehicle Owner, prior to the Towing Company taking possession of the Vehicle, there shall be no charge and the Tow Company shall be placed back at the top of the list. Nothing in this Agreement shall prohibit LHCPD from requesting a specific towing company when the necessary resources to clear a hazard are not available from the tow company currently at the top of the rotation list. In such an instance, the selected towing company would then go to the bottom of the list and those towing companies which were by-passed, would remain in the same list order. The Rotation Schedule does not apply to services requested by the City for City-owned or leased Vehicles.
Rotation Schedule. The District and Union shall maintain a voluntary employee overtime list based upon District seniority. Only employees who choose to be on the list in June and December of each year will be maintained on the list. An employee shall rotate to the bottom of the list when he/she accepts or rejects overtime. Any employee involuntarily assigned to work the overtime assignment shall maintain his/her spot on the rotating list as if he/she had not received the assignment. Employees who voluntarily accept an overtime opportunity will rotate to the bottom of the overtime list. Any employee who refuses an overtime assignment or cancels after accepting an overtime assignment shall have his/her name moved on the rotating list as if he/she received the overtime assignment.

In doing so, the Supervisors may consider the assigned Employees’ suggestions in determining the most effective and efficient rotational pattern.
b) The Supervisor will normally provide a written rotation schedule for assigned individuals, covering a four (4) week period to each employee at least one (1) week prior to the beginning of the four (4) week period. This rotation schedule may also contain a tentative list of employees who may be assigned to temporary duty during the four (4) week period. The Parties agree that the rotation schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the Employer. Employees involved in a change will be notified as soon as possible.
c) In plants which operate more than one shift of the same operation, such as grading, further processing, etc., the Employer will allow shift preference to be assigned by seniority as established in c.1 below, provided it does not excessively interfere with management’s right to assign work.
1) Seniority will be established as all time in meat grading pertaining to Bargaining Unit Employees only. Any issues (excluding RIF procedures) which include seniority will use this as the method for determining seniority.
2) Seniority for shift preference will be limited to those Employees with 20 years or more of service in meat grading.
3) The local duty station will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a seniority list.
4) Employees with less than 20 years seniority in meat grading will equitably rotate among all remaining shift assignments.
5) Employees who are working in the same plant and operation that has multiple shifts may volunteer to trade shifts with other employees with the Employer’s approval.
6) Employee shift preference will be granted quarterly each calendar year starting on the first full pay period in January of each year. Shift preference requests must be submitted a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the preference period and a maximum of 6 weeks prior to the preference period. No yearly requests will be considered.
