Orientation Sessions. Where the employer conducts staff orientation sessions, the union will be provided up to an hour during such session to make a presentation about membership in the Union. The employer will leave the room during the union presentation. The union will provide the employer with copies of materials used in such session and will not disparage the employer during the presentation.

Orientation Sessions. 1. The following understanding shall apply to all Appointing Authorities except the institutional facilities at the Department of Corrections, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, the Water Authority and the Department of Human Services. When a Department, Division or Motor Vehicle Commission plans to hold an orientation session for new employees, the Union shall be so notified in advance if new employee(s) attending the session are in titles covered by the Contract. In the event of low expected attendance, the parties may agree to reschedule or consolidate the orientation session to a different date. The Department, Division or Motor Vehicle Commission holding the orientation will provide the Union with a thirty (30) minute period in which to meet with new employees whose titles are covered under this contract, if so requested by the Union. The thirty (30) minute period shall be within the employee’s workday but may not be during lunch or break time. The representative of the Union shall be a local Union representative. If a non-State employee Union representative cannot be present during an orientation session, a unit employee designated by the Union will be allowed to make such presentation.
Orientation Sessions. An orientation session shall be held for each new bargaining unit employee prior to commencement of employment, and the Board shall afford the Union an opportunity to introduce themselves to the newly hired employees and to make presentation (not to exceed thirty (30) minutes) concerning this Agreement at such orientation sessions.

In addition, Management shall provide the Union reasonable advance notice of the date, time, and location of any orientation meeting that may be held for groups of new employees. This notice shall include a general identification of who shall be in attendance. The Union shall be afforded the opportunity at such meetings to explain and/or hand out material on the role of the Union, including identifying Union representatives.

Orientation Sessions. 1. When the Department plans to hold an orientation session for groups of new Managers in this Unit, the Union shall be so notified two (2) weeks in advance. The Department will provide the Union with a thirty (30) minute period in which to meet with new Managers, during the orientation, if so requested by the Union. The thirty (30) minute period shall be within the new Manager’s workday but may not be during lunch. The representative of the Union shall be chosen by the Union.

Orientation Sessions. Orientation sessions for the upcoming school year will be discussed at the April LMC meeting. The chief xxxxxxx and/or area xxxxxxx will have up to thirty (30) minutes, for a maximum of three (3) times per school year, to meet with new hires for union orientation without a loss of pay for the newly hired employee, Chief Xxxxxxx and/or area xxxxxxx. Newly hired employees will only receive compensation for attendance at one orientation session. The scheduling of these orientation sessions cannot disrupt operations of the District.
Orientation Sessions. The Association shall be given the opportunity for up to two representatives, with release time, to attend District orientation meetings for new classified employee(s). Time, not to exceed 30 additional minutes, will be allotted to the Association at the end of the orientation to meet with the new employee(s) who shall remain on paid time. Orientation Sessions. When an Employer holds an orientation session for new employees, the Union shall be so notified in advance if any of the new employees attending the session are in bargaining unit eligible positions. The Employer will provide the Union with twenty (20) minutes in which to meet with new bargaining eligible employees. The twenty (20) minute period shall be within the employee’s workday but may not be during lunch or break time. The representative of the Union shall be a local Union representative. If a non-State employee Union representative cannot be present during an orientation session, a unit employee designated by the Union will be allowed to make such presentation. The Union agrees that representatives in orientation sessions may only present information about the Union, benefits of participation, ways for employees to take part in Union activities and Union membership. No information that is derogatory, defamatory, or partisan political shall be communicated at the time of the orientation.
