New Year’s Eve. The positioning of the Vessel on New Year’s Eve is subject to weather conditions and as otherwise directed by Water Police and Roads and Maritime Services. Cancellations or amendments of the Fireworks or any public entertainment on New Year’s Eve are not the responsibility of the CBAA Agent and/or Operator and no refunds or compensation will be provided to the Charterer.
New Year’s Eve. 22.1 If an employee is rostered to work on New Year’s Eve (31 December), the employee shall be paid double time calculated at their ordinary hourly rate of pay for all time actually worked between 12 noon and midnight.
22.2 The rate of pay for a casual employee will be double time of the ordinary rate of pay applicable to a full-time or part-time employee in their equivalent classification for the hours actually worked.
22.3 The maximum rate payable to an employee who performs overtime after 12 noon on New Year’s Eve is double time.
22.4 The parties acknowledge that the rates of pay provided for in clause 7 (Salaries) and clause 20 (Public Holidays) and at Attachment A of this agreement reflect the appropriate rates of pay, and that this special New Year’s Eve provision should in no way be viewed as a standard arrangement that should apply to any other public holiday eves.
New Year’s Eve. All Employees in a Benefit Status of plus fifteen (+15) or minus fifteen (-15) who work after 8:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve shall receive a bonus of twenty dollars ($20.00).
New Year’s Eve. OPERATORS The Commission may require Operators to work a maximum of nine hours within a twelve hour spread for extended New Year’s Eve service only . Operators who are required to work beyond the normal finishing time of the run which is after 12:00 midnight shall receive an additional one half times their basic rate for the hours worked beyond the normal finishing time . If an Operator works for more than eight hours, the hours worked beyond eight hours will be paid at one and one half times his/her basic wage rate plus applicable prevailing spreads . If an Operator works (8) eight hours or less but works after the normal finishing time, the hours worked beyond the normal finishing time will be paid at one and one half times his/her basic wage rate . Operators working on New Year’s Eve who would otherwise work a ten hour shift (i .e ., have a signed ten hour run at the time of the New Year’s Eve service), will have a ten hour guarantee regardless of the hours worked . The post-midnight premium applies only to hours worked . SECTION 115 - STATUTORY HOLIDAYS - NOT WORKING AND WORKING
Section 115.01 STATUTORY HOLIDAYS - NOT WORKING
01.01 All permanent hourly paid employees not scheduled for work on each of the following days will be paid at straight time for eight 115.02 No payment if employee is off due to sickness or on Workers’ Compensation (WSIB) or on leave of absence or any suspension . Employees on Rehabilitative Assignments whose regular day off falls on a Statutory Holiday will be paid Statutory Holiday pay provided the employee works hours in accordance with the Rehabilitative Assignment Agreement for the last scheduled day before the statutory holiday and first scheduled day after the statutory holiday .
03.01 Payment will be made at the basic rate for any Statutory Holiday falling within a vacation period in addition to regular vacation pay .
03.02 For Fleet &Facilities Department employees only, if a Statutory Holiday falls within the employees vacation period, employees will be able to sign for the last working day before or after their vacation, in lieu of receiving Statutory Holiday pay, subject to vacation, weekend and floater holiday sign-up rules as posted and determined by management (i .e . dependent on manpower availability) . The employee must make his/ her election at the time of sign-up . If a lieu day cannot be accommodat- ed, the employee will be paid as prescribed in this section .
New Year’s Eve. For Lincoln Day and Veterans Day, CSEA agrees to observe the holiday in alignment with the instructional calendar negotiated by CTA.
New Year’s Eve. 34.6.1 For the period from 1800 hours to midnight on New Years Eve only, the rate of pay will be the special rate for Public Holidays as contained in Part C of this Agreement.
New Year’s Eve. A. Holidays which fall on a Saturday shall be observed the preceding Friday. Holidays which fall on a Sunday shall be observed the following Monday.
New Year’s Eve. If the District obtains a waiver to hold school on Lincoln's Birthday or any of the above listed holidays, and select another non-attendance day in the school calendar, each employee shall be granted a day off with pay for that non-attendance day. Should the District not schedule another non-attendance day in the school calendar, each employee shall be granted a floating holiday day off with pay to be used on a day that students are not in attendance.
New Year’s Eve. In the event paid time off, in addition to the published holiday schedule, is granted to other non-exempt, non-represented employees by the College during the Christmas break period, the College may provide the following time off, at the sole discretion of the College. Further, it is understood that the following conditions will govern the administration of this discretionary time off: • ½ day off (afternoon) New Year’s December 31st if this date falls during the work week (Monday through Friday). Management at its discretion may grant the whole work day off. • If such time is granted, employees will be compensated at their current straight time hourly rate for the additional time off. • If an employee is required to work on time-off granted, the employee shall be compensated at time and a half for all hours worked, and will be granted time off with pay at their current straight time hourly rate for the comparable hours worked at a future date. • All time off granted as a result of being required to work on the additional holiday time off must be taken by the end of February of the following calendar year. • This additional time off and any time off taken at a later date, will be treated as hours worked for purposes of computing overtime.
New Year’s Eve. Special Shifts The following procedures will apply to bus operators who work services specified ‘Special New Year’s Xxx Xxxxxx’:
(i) operators rostered for regular runs on that day are given first option for special late runs no later than one week before New Year’s Eve
(ii) volunteers will be called in to fill shifts not filled as per clause (i) above
(iii) Special New Year’s Eve Shifts for full-time employees will have a minimum sign on time of seven hours
(iv) all Special New Year’s Xxx Xxxxxx running through and after midnight 31 December will be paid double time for the full shift. This does not apply to any rostered shifts that normally sign off after midnight
(v) any regular run which receives scratching in order to cover extra runs or trips after midnight on New Year’s Eve will be paid double time for the complete shift
(vi) casual bus operators working Special New Year’s Eve Shifts will be paid at their ordinary rate until midnight and at 250% plus casual allowance thereafter (vii) support staff will be provided to monitor and adjust services as required
