Occupational Health Services. The Department will provide an occupational health services program for all VA employees consistent with this Agreement and Department policy. Where there are 300 or more federal employees working in one location and there are no existing health services, arrangements shall be made to establish a Department occupational health unit unless occupational health services can be furnished by participation in a nearby occupational health unit serving other federal employees. For locations with fewer than 300 employees, occupational health services shall be provided by contract with private or public sources or by establishment of an occupational health service unit, whichever is deemed to be more feasible. Employees shall notify their supervisor when they seek treatment from an occupational health unit. When this is not feasible, they may report directly to the occupational health unit or person authorized to render emergency care. Facilities will have written procedures on how to address medical emergencies occurring to employees. The confidential nature of medical conditions shall be recognized and respected. Employee medical records maintained by the Department must be separately and distinctly secured from any other medical records. Procedures for disability retirement and OWCP are not part of the Occupational Health program and are governed by Article 41 - Worker’s Compensation and other applicable authorities. Occupational health services will be provided under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.

Occupational Health Services. Occupational Health Services will notify and evaluate registered nurses, as appropriate, in the event of exposure to a patient or employee with a contagious illness or conditions. Occupational Health Services. The Contractor shall utilize medical treatment at the Occupational Health Facility for any injury that occurs at KSC or the CCAFS. Attendance Management Advice and Assessments; Attendance Management Reports; Ill Health Retirement; Pre-Appointment & Pre-Enrolment Checks; Surveillance Services; including but not limited to Audiometry; Spirometry, Skin, Hand Arm Vibration Fitness for Task and Safety Critical Work Services including: Hearing Tests; and Baseline Hearing Tests. Additionally the supplier will quote individually for an enhanced element of the service including: Case Conferences; Immunisations, Vaccinations, Inoculations, Medications & Blood Tests where need is identified in a job risk assessment ; This includes the provision and management of vaccination programmes for staffing groups whose job may place them at risk of particular infections. The supplier is expected to inform CYC where Department of Health or vaccine supplier guidance in relation to the appropriateness, suitability and frequency of vaccination changes and ensure the vaccinations are given in accordance with this guidance. Occupational Health Services. On request, Suppliers shall provide Supplier Personnel with relevant specialist knowledge, skills, experience and training to operate in specialist environments, such as: Specialist knowledge of chemical and biological incidents; Physical resilience when working in rough terrain; Experience of heavy manual handling; Knowledge of specialist equipment which shall be notified by the Contracting Authorities; Training in the use of specialist personal protective equipment; and/or Knowledge and/or qualified to work with a fitted respirator. The Supplier shall allow the City of York Council to interview and approve Supplier Personnel who shall be permanently based on City of York Council premises delivering the Services.
