- On Call and Call Back Pay. A. Any unit member who is required by supervision to remain at home for a specified period of time in a duty status, prepared to return to work immediately if contacted, will be paid at the straight time rate for all such on-call hours. Such hours will be considered as hours worked for the computation of overtime pay.

- On Call and Call Back Pay. Subd. 1. On Call The term “on call” is limited to a status in which an employee, though off duty, is required by the Employer, to be available to answer calls and give information and assistance by telephone, and to be fully prepared to return to duty. Whenever practical, the employee will receive clear and written advance notice, during work hours, that they are “on call.” The scheduling of employees for “on call” duty should be reasonable, thus respecting the employee’s personal life. The Employer shall establish the expectations associated with the compensation. The employee will receive $35.00 for each weekday the employee is “on call.” The employee will receive $45.00 for each weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) or holiday the employee is” on call.”
- On Call and Call Back Pay. Members of the bargaining unit who are mandated to be on call (i.e., remain available to return to work) shall be compensated in the form of cash payment at the rate of thirty-five percent (35%) of their hourly straight time rate. Effective March 1, 2001, the following standards will apply in all units where there is required on-call, with the exception of Occupational Health, the Operating Room and the Dialysis Unit: the Hospital will not assign required on-call to a nurse in excess of twelve (12) hours per week during weekdays (Monday 7:00 a.m. - Saturday 7:00 a.m.), and in excess of twenty-four (24) hours of required weekend (Saturday 7:00 a.m.-Monday 7:00 a.m.) on-call within a four (4)-week time schedule, except where the nurse and the Hospital agree otherwise. Between October 1, 2000 and February 28, 2001, the Hospital will not assign required on-call to a nurse in excess of the amount of on-call nurses currently (as of September 30, 2000) work in such nurse’s unit.
