Paid Jury or Court Witness Leave. When an employee is subpoenaed for jury duty or as a court witness, such employee shall not suffer any loss of salary or wages while at the disposal of the court. The hours paid for part-time and casual employees on paid jury leave shall be calculated in accordance with Article 24.05. Time spent by an employee required to serve as a court witness in any matter arising out of employment shall be considered as time worked at the regular rate of pay.

Paid Jury or Court Witness Leave. When an Employee is absent by reason of a summons to serve as a juror or a subpoena to serve as witness, such Employee shall not suffer any loss of salary or wages while so serving. The amount paid by the Employer(s) shall be the difference between the Employee’s normal salary and the indemnity (exclusive of travel and sustenance) paid by the court.
