PAID TIME OFF AND LEAVES. 1. Employees will participate in a Paid Time Off (PTO) plan. Under the plan, on each January 1 benefits-eligible employees shall be allotted an amount of paid time off, based on length of service and standard weekly hours, to be used in that calendar year. These Paid Time Off days may be used at the employee’s discretion (with appropriate management approval) to cover vacations, holidays, sick days, funeral leave, safe time (as defined by law or regulation included but not limited to the Minneapolis and St. Paul Sick and Safe Time Ordinances) and any other paid time-off occasions. Full-time employees shall be allotted PTO days as follows: Length of service (as of Dec. 31) Hours of PTO granted on Jan. 1 Less than three years 208 hours (26 days) More than three but less than six years 248 hours (31 days) More than six years 288 hours (36 days) Part-time employees with at least 20 standard work hours per week but less than 40 shall have their PTO allotment pro-rated based on their weekly standard work hours. Temporary employees and those regular part time employees who are regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week will receive sick and safe time as mandated by the Minneapolis and St. Xxxx Sick and Safe Time Ordinances and/or other applicable law or ordinance and are not eligible to receive PTO. Employees’ annual PTO allotment is based on years of continuous service as a regular employee completed by the end of the previous year. When an employee has worked enough years, the employee will automatically receive the next highest PTO allotment on the following January 1. 2. PTO is allotted once at the beginning of a calendar year, except for new hires or employees newly eligible for benefits. New hires who work a minimum of 20 hours per week shall have their PTO hours determined by their date of hire, and existing employees newly eligible for benefits shall have their PTO hours determined by the date when they become benefits-eligible. Such employees shall be allotted one-twelfth of their normal annual PTO for each full or partial month remaining in the calendar year from their hire date or benefits-eligible date. This pro-rata allotment is available for immediate use, with management approval. If an employee’s standard weekly work hours change during the calendar year, the PTO allotment for that year shall not be adjusted, but the PTO allotment for the following calendar year shall be based on standard weekly work hours in effect as of December 31....

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) Executive shall earn and accrue paid-time-off covering vacation and sick time benefits at the rate of twenty (20) days per year for employment periods of up to five years of service. The PTO accrual rate shall automatically increase by five (5) additional days for each additional 5 years of service up to maximum of thirty (30) days per year after 10 years of service. For example, after five years of service, the annual PTO accrual rate shall increase to twenty-five (25) days. Unused PTO shall carry over to the next year, but Executive shall cease accruing further PTO at any time Executive has accrued two times his annual accrual rate. Unused PTO days which are not in excess of two-times the annual accrual rate shall be paid in a cash lump sum payment promptly after Executive’s termination of employment.

  • Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to take paid time off in accordance with the Company’s applicable paid time off policy for executives, as may be in effect from time to time.

  • Vacation; Paid Time Off During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to fifteen (15) paid vacation days per calendar year (prorated for partial years) in accordance with the Company’s vacation policies, as in effect from time to time that is at least as favorable as that provided to other similarly situated executives of the Company. The Executive shall receive other paid time-off in accordance with the Company’s policies for executive officers as such policies may exist from time to time.

  • Paid Leave Contributions will continue whilst a member of a fund is absent on paid annual leave, sick leave, long service leave, public holidays, jury service, bereavement leave, or other paid leave.

  • Paid Leaves A. A bank of ten (10) sick leave days per year shall be credited to each Kitchen Manager at the beginning of the yearly period of employment. Probationary employees who successfully complete their probationary period after the start of the work year shall be credited with a prorated number of sick leave days at the beginning of their non- probationary period. Employees who are promoted from ESP#1 to Kitchen Managers Association shall have accumulated sick leave days prorated based upon number of hours-worked in previous position. Total sick leave accumulation will be unlimited. Sick leave days may be used for personal illness of the employee or illness in the immediate family of the employee living in the same household and/or those critically ill family members who warrant immediate attention. B. Two (2) days of sick leave each year may be used as Business Days. All requests must be in writing except when an emergency situation prevails, approval may be obtained by telephone with a follow-up letter stating the date and reason for being off. Written requests for the day off must be received in the office of the Supervisor of Food Services at least three work days before the day the employee wishes off. Requests will be granted only when there is sufficient number of substitute employees to cover the workload. The day before and the day after a paid holiday or a scheduled vacation day cannot be used as a Business Day. C. Each employee shall be entitled to leave with pay without charge to his/her sick bank for death in the immediate family or immediate step family of the employee and/or spouse or the death of a person residing in the same household as the employee. The funeral leave shall be for a period not to exceed three (3) days, provided the employee attends the funeral. Immediate family shall mean mother, father, brother, sister, child, spouse, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild and grandparents. Immediate step family shall mean step-mother, step-father, step-brother, step-sister, step-child and step-grandchild. In the event of the death of a spouse, child or step- child, the funeral leave shall be for a period not to exceed five (5) days, provided the employee attends the funeral. Additional time beyond the three (3) or five (5) days, if granted by the employee’s immediate supervisor, will be charged to sick leave. The employer has the right to request and receive appropriate substantiation of attendance at the funeral and verification of residence of an individual residing in the household. Funeral leave may be granted to any Kitchen Manager in case of the death of a person whose relationship to the employee warrants attendance at the funeral. Time off for funerals may be granted before or after the fact by the Supervisor of Food Services. All approved absences caused by funerals will be deducted from the sick bank. D. Sick leaves days will accumulate but not be granted to probationary employees until employee is permanently assigned.

  • Vacations and Leave a. Executive may take vacations and other leave in accordance with the Bank’s policy for senior executives, or otherwise as approved by the Board. b. In addition to paid vacations and other leave, the Board may grant Executive a leave or leaves of absence, with or without pay, at such time or times and upon such terms and conditions as the Board, in its discretion, may determine.

  • Paid Sick Leave For those jurisdictions that have passed or will pass legislation requiring Paid Sick Leave, Paid Sick Time will be billed back to Client at the straight-time bill rate for all hours taken by any Consultant assigned to Client. This section is not applicable until the effective date of such legislation has been reached.

  • Recall from Vacation Leave When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that he incurs:

  • Time Off The company recognises that sufficient time off to attend to personal matters and for recreation are important to the employee’s wellbeing, job satisfaction and overall productivity. Accordingly, time off may be taken with the consent of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. In considering the approval to have time off, the Parties will have regard to the current works programme and the urgency of the reason for time off. In the event that time off is to be taken, it will be the employee’s obligation to advise the Company in advance or as soon as practicable on the day of absence, recognising that unplanned absences can cause costly disruption to programmed works and are a major source of annoyance for the company, other employees and clients. The object of offering flexible working hours is that in return employees will take very seriously their obligation to turn up when they are expected. In view of the disruption caused by unplanned and or notified absenteeism, repeated failure to observe the protocol for time off would constitute misconduct.

  • Vacation and Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to vacation and paid time off in accordance with the standard policies of the Company for executives as in effect from time to time.
