PAID TIME OFF AND LEAVES. 1. In place of time-off plans to cover vacation, holidays, illnesses and funeral leave, employees will participate in a Paid Time Off (PTO) plan. Under the plan, on each January 1 benefits-eligible employees shall be allotted an amount of paid time off, based on length of service and standard weekly hours, to be used in that calendar year. These Paid Time Off days may be used at the employee’s discretion (with appropriate management approval) to cover vacations, holidays, sick days, funeral leave, safe time (as defined by law or regulation included but not limited to the Minneapolis and St Xxxx Xxxx and Safe Time Ordinances) and any other paid time-off occasions. Full-time employees shall be allotted PTO days as follows: Less than three years 200 hours (25 days) More than three but less than six years 240 hours (30 days) More than six years 280 hours (35 days) Part-time employees with at least 20 standard work hours per week but less than 40 shall have their PTO allotment pro-rated based on their weekly standard work hours. Temporary employees and those regular part time employees who are regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week will receive sick and safe time as mandated by the Minneapolis and St. Xxxx Sick and Safe Time Ordinances and/or other applicable law or ordinance and are not eligible to receive PTO. Employees’ annual PTO allotment is based on years of continuous service as a regular employee completed by the end of the previous year. When an employee has worked enough years, he or she will automatically receive the next highest PTO allotment on the following January 1. 2. PTO is allotted once at the beginning of a calendar year, except for new hires or employees newly eligible for benefits. New hires who work a minimum of 20 hours per week shall have their PTO hours determined by their date of hire, and existing employees newly eligible for benefits shall have their PTO hours determined by the date when they become benefits-eligible. Such employees shall be allotted one-twelfth of their normal annual PTO for each full or partial month remaining in the calendar year from their hire date or benefits-eligible date. If an employee’s standard weekly work hours change during the calendar year, the PTO allotment for that year shall not be adjusted, but the PTO allotment for the following calendar year shall be based on standard weekly work hours in effect as...

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to paid time off in accordance with Company’s policy in place from time to time; provided, however, that Executive shall be eligible to accrue no less than twenty (20) days per calendar year (with such amount prorated for the balance of 2017).

  • Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to take paid time off in accordance with the Company’s applicable paid time off policy for executives, as may be in effect from time to time.

  • Vacation; Paid Time Off During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the Company’s vacation policies, as in effect from time to time. The Executive shall receive other paid time-off in accordance with applicable law and the Company’s policies for executive officers as such policies may exist from time to time.

  • Paid Leave Contributions will continue whilst a member of a fund is absent on paid annual leave, sick leave, long service leave, public holidays, jury service, bereavement leave, or other paid leave.

  • Paid Leaves SECTION A At the beginning of the school year, each administrator shall be credited with ten (10) days sick leave per year for all administrators except the High School Principal, Chief Information Officer, Director of Facilities/Maintenance, and the Director of Adult Education who shall be credited with twelve (12) sick leave days per year, accruable to a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) days. Unused personal business leave days may be accrued at the rate of two (2) days per year to extend maximum sick leave accumulation to one hundred forty (140) days. If the administrator should become a teacher in the district, teacher sick leave policies will apply. SECTION B Up to five (5) days of accrued sick leave per fiscal year (July 1 through June 30) may be used for the critical illness of a member of the administrator’s immediate family which shall be defined as the administrator’s spouse, child, parent, or any relative who is a permanent resident of the administrator’s household or is a dependent for tax purposes. Critical illness shall be defined as a serious emergency or life-threatening condition requiring the presence of the administrator. SECTION C An administrator may use up to four (4) days per fiscal year, not charged to sick leave, for personal business. These days shall not be accumulative except as indicated in Section A. The use of these days must be arranged in advance with the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel. An administrator planning to use a personal business day at least three (3) days in advance, except in cases of emergency. Prior approval by the Superintendent is required for personal business days taken the day before or the day following a holiday or vacation or during the first five (5) or last five (5) days of the school year. SECTION D Each administrator will be granted five (5) days leave not charged to sick leave in the case of a death in the immediate family which shall be defined as parent, spouse, and child. Two (2) days not charged to sick leave, will be granted for the death of grandparents, grandchildren, and siblings (including in-law and step-relatives.) One (1) day, not charged to sick leave, may be granted by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the funeral of a person whose relationship to the administrator warrants such attendance. Additional days may be granted by the Superintendent. SECTION E Each fiscal year an administrator will be allowed one (1) professional day which may accumulate from year to year to a maximum of five (5) days. Subject to the prior approval of the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel, a professional day(s) may be used for any educational purpose. A written request shall be made at least five (5) days in advance of a planned professional day absence. SECTION F An administrator who is summoned and reports for jury duty, as prescribed by applicable law, shall receive regular compensation. Any compensation received for jury service (not to include expense reimbursement) shall be submitted to the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel or his designee. Leave of absence with pay shall be granted for court appearances as a witness in any case in which the administrator’s connection with the case stems from his employment with the Board, provided that the legal action is not instigated by or on behalf of the administrator or Association against the Board. Any witness fee paid to the administrator shall be submitted to the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel. Worker’s compensation will be the exclusive remedy for any work-related injury or disability provided worker’s compensation is available.

  • Vacations and Leave a. Executive may take vacations and other leave in accordance with the Bank’s policy for senior executives, or otherwise as approved by the Board. b. In addition to paid vacations and other leave, the Board may grant Executive a leave or leaves of absence, with or without pay, at such time or times and upon such terms and conditions as the Board, in its discretion, may determine.

  • Paid Sick Leave For those jurisdictions that have passed or will pass legislation requiring Paid Sick Leave, Paid Sick Time will be billed back to Client at the straight-time bill rate for all hours taken by any Consultant assigned to Client. This section is not applicable until the effective date of such legislation has been reached.

  • Recall from Vacation Leave When during any period of vacation leave an employee is recalled to duty, he shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that he incurs:

  • Time Off The company recognises that sufficient time off to attend to personal matters and for recreation are important to the employee’s wellbeing, job satisfaction and overall productivity. Accordingly, time off may be taken with the consent of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. In considering the approval to have time off, the Parties will have regard to the current works programme and the urgency of the reason for time off. In the event that time off is to be taken, it will be the employee’s obligation to advise the Company in advance or as soon as practicable on the day of absence, recognising that unplanned absences can cause costly disruption to programmed works and are a major source of annoyance for the company, other employees and clients. The object of offering flexible working hours is that in return employees will take very seriously their obligation to turn up when they are expected. In view of the disruption caused by unplanned and or notified absenteeism, repeated failure to observe the protocol for time off would constitute misconduct.

  • Vacation and Paid Time Off The Executive shall be entitled to vacation and paid time off in accordance with the standard policies of the Company for executives as in effect from time to time.
