Para-professionals. 4.4.1 The District shall employ Para Professionals in the following areas: clerical, library, playground, lunchroom, regular classrooms, special education classrooms, and other special programs. Para Professionals shall be flexible and expect assignments in any, or all, of the above areas. During the course of the school year, the District shall make every effort to keep an employee in the job assignment to which they have been assigned.

Para-professionals a. The Board of Education agrees to pay tuition for courses required to receive para-professional certification with prior administration approval. All monies received in the form of stipends, grants, etc.for attending courses shall be applied to the tuition and the district shall pay the difference.

Para-professionals. 1. It is agreed by the JEA and the Board of Education that the work year for para-professionals, during the life of this Agreement, shall be 182 days to include the first day in September for staff only, and one in-Service day. The yearly salary fro paraprofessionals shall be calculated at 182 times 6.75 hours, plus two (2) additional hours for Back-To-School Night.

The increase shall take effect at the time such legislation becomes law, or at the time that a ballot referendum takes effect and shall not be retroactive unless, if approved legislatively, said law is retroactive to the beginning of the appropriate school year. Should this occur, said percentage shall be added to the salary schedule.

Para-professionals. The employer will grant a total of 15 days of sick leave per each year of employment for any unit member hired on or after July 1, 2008. For any unit member hired before July 1, 2008, the employer will grant a total of 20 days per each year of employment. Unused sick leave is cumulative until a maximum of 250 days is reached. Unit members who reach the maximum accrual of 250 days will continue to receive their annual allowance of days, which will be used first before days are deducted from previously accrued days. For unit members hired after the school year begins, sick leave will be accrued on a pro-rated basis determined by the number of months worked as a percentage of the fiscal year. A physician's verification of illness may be required when it appears to the Human Resources Department that absences appear to be excessive.

  • Other Professional Services We will provide you the various implementation-related services itemized in the Investment Summary and described in the Statement of Work.

  • Scope of Professional Services 3.1 On the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, COUNTY hereby engages CONTRACTOR to provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete the Project/Service in accordance with the Scope of Services, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Attachment A, as modified or clarified by Addendum(s) # , dated , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Attachment B. It is understood that the Scope of Services may be modified by change order as the Project/Service progresses, but to be effective and binding, any such change order must be in writing, executed by the parties, and in accordance with the COUNTY’s Purchasing Policies and Procedures. A copy of these policies and procedures shall be made available to the CONTRACTOR upon request.

  • Continuing Professional Development The Official Agency shall provide appropriate training for staff performing official controls, enabling them to undertake their duties competently and to carry out official controls in a consistent manner, as per legislative requirements. The Official Agency shall identify training needs for staff performing official controls and ensure that staff carrying out official controls are kept up to date in their area of competence and develop specialised expertise, in partnership with the Authority and other Local Authorities. While the provision of training is the primary responsibility of the Official Agency, the Authority may provide training interventions where the Official Agency has highlighted areas where training is required. The Authority will endeavour to facilitate networking and collaboration with other Official Agencies to assist in improving knowledge in such areas. The Authority will provide e-learning resources and training for official control staff so as to promote a consistent understanding and application of new legislation, guidance or procedures, as appropriate. The Official Agency shall support participants in using e-learning resources, disseminating knowledge or skills acquired and encourage the application of learning gained through the Authority’s training in official control activities. The Official Agency shall ensure that contractors used in the performance of the Service Contract provide evidence of Continuous Professional Development and Compliance with this section. Where staff from the Official Agency need to travel outside the Official Agency functional area to attend training courses/meetings, this shall be facilitated by the Official Agency. The Official Agency in partnership with the Authority shall develop and implement training programmes for all staff engaged in the performance of the Service Contract. Where staff have participated in Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) the training content shall be disseminated to relevant staff/contractors in the Official Agency and other local authorities in partnership with the Authority.

  • Professional Dress In as much as teachers are role models for students, each teacher shall maintain a neat, professional appearance appropriate for his/her specific teaching assignment.

  • Teacher Professional Growth Plan 9.1.1 Teacher Professional Growth Plans will consider but will not be required to include the School Division’s goals.

  • G2 Professional Indemnity The Contractor shall effect and maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance cover during the Contract Period and shall ensure that all agents, professional consultants and sub-contractors involved in the supply of the Services do the same. To comply with its obligations under this clause and as a minimum, the Contractor shall ensure professional indemnity insurance held by the Contractor and by any agent, sub-contractor or consultant involved in the supply of the Services has a limit of indemnity of not less than £500,000 for each individual claim [or such higher limit as the Client may reasonably require (and as required by law) from time to time]. Such insurance shall be maintained for a minimum of 6 (six) years following the expiration or earlier termination of the Contract.
