Part-time sick leave. An employee with a partial incapacity to work (part-time sick leave), who performs part-time work and is paid a part-time salary and who at the same time receives a part of his/her compensation from Försäkringskassan, shall, apart from his/her pay for hours worked, receive part of the sick pay he/she would have received in the event of a full incapacity to work. Deductions are made according to the rules above with the corresponding parts of the amounts given. Time according to the above is calculated as a full period of sick pay.

Part-time sick leave. Any employee who is ill and whose illness is supported by satisfactory medical evidence will be granted a sick leave of absence for an appropriate period of time, not to exceed six (6) months. Sick leaves must be requested before the leave commences, unless there is an emergency situation that prevents the employee from contacting the Employer, in which case the employee will submit medical evidence as soon as the employee is able. Where supported by medical proof, sick leaves may be extended for additional days as necessary but not to exceed two (2) years. In the event the leave of absence is extended beyond six (6) months, the employee shall be responsible for contacting the Director of Public Safety or his designee not less than every thirty (30) days during the term of the leave for the purpose of a status report on the medical condition.
Part-time sick leave. (i) Employees who have completed the probationary period shall be credited with sick credits equivalent to that which they would have accumulated since their date of employment and shall continue to accumulate sick leave credits at the rate of seven and one half (7½) hours for each one hundred sixty-two and one half (162½) hours of service to a maximum of seventy-five (75) hours. Any sick days remaining in the Employees’ sick day banks at the end of the year shall be carried over to the following year. Providing credits are available, Employees will be eligible to claim seventy percent (70%) of straight time wages with each credit for scheduled lost time due to illness for the first week of any one illness. (ii) The Employee shall apply for E.I. sick leave for weeks two (2) through sixteen (16) of any legitimate illness or injury. The Employer will top-up these benefits to seventy percent (70%) of straight time wages. In the event the Employee does not qualify for E.I. Sick Leave benefits by reason of lack of adequate contributions, she shall receive seventy percent (70%) of her straight time wages for weeks through sixteen (16) of any legitimate illness or injury. Note: It is understood that this sick leave benefit commences after an Employee has completed her probationary period.
Part-time sick leave. Part-time employees shall receive sick leave credit allowance on a proportionate basis. One (1) sick leave day will be earned for each seventeen (17) days worked. The maximum sick leave days that can be earned are fifteen (15) days per year. Any vacation sick leave, or personal leave days that have been earned and used are included in the seventeen (17) day total referred to above.

Part-time sick leave. Part-time employees shall be granted five (5) sick days leave per calendar year at no loss of pay or vacation time, with such sick leave day(s) computed to the rate of the scheduled hours missed. Part-time employees may accumulate sick leave up to 20 days. This will not be reimbursed upon leaving employment.

  • Paid Sick Leave For those jurisdictions that have passed or will pass legislation requiring Paid Sick Leave, Paid Sick Time will be billed back to Client at the straight-time bill rate for all hours taken by any Consultant assigned to Client. Employees eligible for early or full service retirement who resign from employment and do not receive a retirement benefit, shall forfeit all rights to payment for unused sick days. b. Employees, who have a balance of less than 250 unused sick days as of June 30, 2002, will receive payment for 50% of the employee’s accumulated unused sick days up to a maximum of 250 unused days at their average daily rate*. c. Employees who have a balance of unused sick days greater then 250 days as of June 30, 2002, will receive payment for 50% of the employee’s accumulated unused sick days up to their June 30, 2002, unused sick leave balance, at their average daily rate*. d. Payments for unused sick days in amounts greater than $5,000 will be paid in equal amounts over five consecutive years beginning with the year of retirement. e. Payments for unused sick days in the amount at $5,000 or less or for the death of an employee will be paid in a lump sum to the employee or the employee’s estate in the year of retirement or death.
