Pay Increment Administration. On conversion, the employee retains the pre-conversion increment date applicable unless: the employee receives an increase on conversion equal to or greater than that which would have been received on promotion; or the employee was paid at the maximum of the former group and level and is not paid at the maximum in the new group and level. In these instances, a new increment date shall be established from the date of conversion. When an employee’s pre-conversion increment date is the same date as the date of the conversion, the increment shall be applied to the employee’s salary prior to conversion taking place.
