Payment of Vacation. A non-teaching employee shall be paid for vacation leave for Christmas and Spring breaks on regular payroll days unless otherwise agreed to by Saanich Indian School Board. For non-teaching employees’ only working 10 months of the year, the employee shall be paid out for any remaining vacation leave owing at the beginning of the school recess unless otherwise agreed to by Saanich Indian School Board. Any earned vacation pay outstanding at the time of resignation or termination of an employee shall be paid out at the date of resignation or termination.

Payment of Vacation. Under conditions of normal scheduling of vacations, if an employee is obliged to wait for his/her vacation pay because of a failure on the part of the Company, the following regulations will apply: (i) With reference to employees on the day shift, a waiting period of more than thirty (30) minutes will be compensated at regular straight time rate for the total period of inconvenience. (ii) Employees on afternoon and night shifts, having to return to the plant while on vacation to pick up vacation pay, will be compensated with two (2) hours of pay at regular straight time rate.
