If you hire private companions or aides, you are responsible for hiring and coordinating the services of such companions. Private companions or aides must register with Ashlar Village Wellness or Administration, wear an identification badge provided by Ashlar Village Administration, and abide by all policies and procedures as defined by the Ashlar Village Policy governing private aide services. Upon registration with Ashlar Village Administration, private companions and aides are provided with the Ashlar Village Policy Governing Private Companion Services and a private aide manual. Personal assistance. 1. You pay medical expenses, following your illness or accident, which arose abroad:
a. Of medical expenses abroad up to 2.800 EUR/ person, after deduction of the compensation to which you have a right from the Social Security or your National Health Service. In the event of hospitalization, Allianz Global Assistance can advance medical expenses.
b. Of local transport abroad, to the nearest doctor or to the closest hospital in order to receive first aid.
c. Of local transport abroad, by ambulance, if ordered by a doctor.
d. Of local transport abroad, of your insured travel companions to visit you in hospital, up to 65 EUR.
2. Your state of health, following your illness or your accident, requires transport or repatriation:
a. The organization of and compensation for your transport from the hospital where you are immobilised to your home, to the hospital closest to your home or the hospital better equipped to continue your treatment. Transport or repatriation takes place by air ambulance, by plane in economy class, by ambulance, or by any other appropriate means of transport. Repatriation will take place under medical supervision if the state of your health so requires. The decision regarding transport or repatriation, its manner, the choice of means of transport and the choice of hospital belong exclusively to Allianz Global Assistance’s medical service, following consultation with the attending physician on location, and taking nothing other than the state of your health into consideration.
b. The organization of and compensation for transport of an insured travel companion to accompany you back to your home or to hospital.
c. The organization of and compensation for the repatriation of insured family members and one insured travel companion if the latter has to continue his trip alone. If they prefer, Allianz Global Assistance compensates for the necessary additional costs for the continuation of the trip, up to the amount that Mondial Assistance would have paid for their repatriation.
d. If, for medical reasons, you cannot look after insured minor children accompanying you, and no travel companion can undertake this task: • Organization of and compensation for return transport from his home in Belgium of a person designated by the family or a hostess, in order to help the insured minor children during their repatriation; • Compensation for a maximum of one hotel night for that person; • Organization of and compensation for repatriation of insured minor ...
Personal assistance. In the event the condition of the Resident requires such assistance, and upon the request of the Company, Responsible Party will assist Resident or legally responsible person, as necessary by:
(a) Participating with the Company staff in evaluating Resident’s needs and in planning and implementing an appropriate plan for Resident’s care;
(b) Maintaining Resident’s welfare and fulfilling Resident’s obligations under the Residency Agreement;
(c) Relocating Resident following termination;
(d) Transferring Resident to a hospital, nursing home, or other facility in the event that Resident requires care the Company does not offer;
(e) Removing Resident’s personal property from suite when Resident leaves;
(f) Making necessary arrangements for funeral services and burial in the event of death.
