Rehabilitation Committee. It is the intent of the Employer and the Union to encourage and facilitate the early return to gainful employment of employees who are ill or injured. To this end, a Rehabilitation Committee will be established consisting of the Director, Government Employee Health Services as chairperson, two representatives of the Union, and two representatives of the Employer. The Committee shall review cases of regular employees who have completed their initial probationary period and who are no longer capable of performing the duties of their own occupations due to illness or injury. Such employees will make application to the Committee in accordance with Information Appendix A, Part III.
Rehabilitation Committee. It is the intent of both Parties to encourage and facilitate the early return to gainful employment of employees who have been ill or injured. To this end, a Rehabilitation Committee will be established as follows:
(a) The Committee shall consist of five members, two appointed by the Employer, two appointed by the Union and a mutually agreed upon Chairperson. A Secretary shall be appointed to assist in the administration of the Committee.
(b) The Committee shall review cases of regular employees who have completed their initial probationary period and are no longer capable of performing the duties of their own occupation due to illness or injury. Such employees shall make application for rehabilitation pursuant to Appendix 4, Part IV—Rehabilitation.
(c) The Committee shall also review cases of all employees who have become incapacitated through industrial injury or illness. Following the review of such cases the Committee, taking into account the best interests of the employee and the Employer, shall make recommendations to the Deputy Minister of the BC Public Service Agency.
(d) The Committee shall also review cases of regular employees who have completed their initial probationary period who request a transfer on compassionate grounds. Following the review of such cases, the Committee, taking into account the best interests of the employee and the Employer, shall make recommendations to the Deputy Minister of the BC Public Service Agency.
(e) Where the Committee is unable to decide upon recommendations for a particular case, the matter shall be referred to the Bargaining Principals for final disposition.
(f) The Rehabilitation Committee shall meet not less than once a month during working hours, and leave without loss of pay shall be granted to Committee members. Minutes of all meetings shall be taken by the Secretary and copies shall be provided to the Employer and the Union.
(g) Members of the Committee are committed to maintain confidentiality of medical and other information received in their capacity as Committee members.

9.3.10.1 The Committee shall be composed of two (2) representatives and one alternate appointed by the Union which may include one Union representative from the FSA, and two (2) representatives and one alternate from the Employer. The Employer will provide administrative support for the Committee. In addition, the insurance carrier, or other organizations that specialize in rehabilitative return to work assessments or independent medical examinations, may be called upon to be a resource to the Committee to provide expertise on a program of rehabilitation.
9.3.10.2 The Committee shall review cases of eligible Employees who are no longer capable of performing the duties of their own occupation due to illness or injury. The Committee shall also review cases of all Employees who have become incapacitated through industrial injury or illness. Following the review of such cases, the Committee, taking into account the best interests of the Employee and Employer, shall make recommendations to the Employer. Unanimous recommendations of the Committee will be implemented by the Employer provided they are reasonable and practical and do not pose undue hardship.
9.3.10.3 Where possible, the Committee shall meet not less than once a month during working hours, and leave without loss of pay shall be granted to Committee members. Minutes of meetings shall be distributed to the Committee members.
9.3.10.4 The Committee shall be committed to maintaining confidentiality of medical and other information received in their capacity as members.
9.3.10.5 The Committee will develop any additional procedures and terms of reference for the operation of the Committee.
Rehabilitation Committee. The Employer acknowledges an obligation to maintain on payroll regular employees who have completed their probationary period and who, through advancing years, are unable to perform their regular duties. A Rehabilitation Committee shall be established to review cases of such employees. The Committee shall consist of two (2) members appointed by the Employer, two (2) members appointed by the Union, and a Medical Doctor who shall act as chairperson. The Rehabilitation Committee may make recommendations to the College Board to retain the employee in a less arduous position and/or to recommend what retraining the Committee deems advisable. Where the Rehabilitation Committee is unable to recommend that the employee be placed in a less arduous position or to be retrained, the particular case shall be referred to the principals to this Agreement for final disposition.

The Employer acknowledges a responsibility to maintain on payroll, Employees who have completed their initial probationary period and which, through advancing years or temporary disablement, are unable to perform their regular duties, or who have become incapacitated by injury or illness. A Rehabilitation Committee shall be established to review cases of such Employees. The Committee shall consist of two (2) members appointed by the Employer and two (2) members appointed by the Union. By mutual agreement, the parties may add other members for resource purposes. The Rehabilitation Committee may make recommendations to the Employer to place the Employee in a less arduous position and to recommend what retraining the Committee deems advisable. The Employer and the Union will mutually agree on the procedures for the operation of the Rehabilitation Committee.
Rehabilitation Committee. The City of Vancouver, Vancouver Parks Board, CUPE 1004, and the VMREU agree to establish a committee during the term of the Agreement with the purpose of:
(a) identifying positions which may be used by employees who are medically unfit to perform their job who may be retrained and/or are returning from Disability benefits or WCB;
(b) to work out a process for placing such workers in identified positions;
(c) to determine how the objectives of the Committee may be met with respect to seniority, postings, and crossing of jurisdictional boundary issues; and
Rehabilitation Committee.
(a) The Employer and the Union agree to a Rehabilitation Committee compromising of four (4) persons, two (2) appointed by the Union and two (2) appointed by the Employer.
(b) Committee members appointed by the Union will be granted time off without loss of basic pay for the purpose of attending meetings of the Committee and performing Committee approved business.
(c) The Committee is limited to reviewing alternate employment opportunities for employees deemed totally disabled or partially disabled by the Employer and therefore unable to perform their normal duties.
(d) The Committee may make non-binding recommendations to the Employer and Union as to possible alternate employment opportunities for employees.
Rehabilitation Committee.
(a) The Employer and the Union agree to a Rehabilitation Committee compromising of four (4) persons, two (2) appointed by the Union and two (2) appointed by the Employer.

24.10 CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM The Employer will make available to all employees a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) program.

(a) The Committee shall consist of three (3) members, one (1) appointed by the Employer, one (1) appointed by the Union and a mutually agreed upon Chairperson. A Secretary shall be appointed to assist in the administration of the Committee.
(b) The Committee shall review cases of regular employees who have completed their initial probationary period and are no longer capable of performing the duties of their own occupation due to illness or injury. Such employees shall make application for rehabilitation pursuant to Appendix 2, Part IV.
(c) The Committee shall also review cases of all employees who have become incapacitated through industrial injury or illness. Following the review of such cases the Committee, taking into account the best interests of the employee and the Employer, shall make recommendations to the Company President.
(d) The Committee shall also review cases of regular employees who have completed their initial probationary period who request a transfer on compassionate grounds.
