School Delay. The school district realizes that shifting class hours can negatively impact the student's work hours. Therefore, Halifax has established a practice for this reason. Students are not required to report to HASD on days school is delayed. However, it is expected that students will make email contact with all of his/her teachers prior to the start of the school day. It should also be noted that you should use good decision- making skills when school delays occur (see example below).
