SHORT CHANGE OVER. ‌ a) If shifts are scheduled so that there are not thirteen (13) hours between the end of an employee’s shift and the start of the next shift, overtime rates apply to the hours worked on the succeeding shift within the thirteen hour (13) hour period. This provision shall not apply to employees with less than full-time hours who are offered and accept additional temporary hours of work. This Article shall not apply to employees sharing evening work in the Centres/Campuses. Hours of evening work may vary in start time and end time, depending on the arrangements mutually agreed to by supervisors and the employees affected, and in accordance with any other applicable Articles of the Collective Agreement. b) The Union will be informed, in writing, of shift arrangements (i.e., current, new, and altered). New or altered evening shift arrangements will not take effect until the Union has had the opportunity to discuss the arrangements with the affected CUPE members and the College. Such discussion will take place within five (5) working days of the notification to the Union. c) Affected employees will be provided with written confirmation of an existing arrangement, written notice of a new arrangement, or written notice of an altered arrangement, according to the situation that applies. d) “Shift Changes” will be included as a regular agenda item for consideration and discussion by the NIC/CUPE Local 3479 Labour Management Committee.

Employees must identify their interest and availability to the applicable manager.
SHORT CHANGE OVER. An employee who has worked overtime shall return to work on the employee’s next regular shift following the overtime, provided the employee has received eight (8) hours rest. An employee whose eight (8) hour rest period extends beyond the start of the employee’s next shift, and therefore does not report to work until the eight (8) hour rest period is complete, shall qualify for full pay for the employee’s next regular shift.

Signed this 20th day of April, 2012 Signed this 2nd day of March, 2006 RE: XXXXXX GARDENS AND WOODLAND EMPLOYEES‌ In order to include the employees at Xxxxxx Gardens and Woodland in the Vancouver Island University unit of CUPE Local 1858, the parties agree to the following: 1) Pursuant to the Labour Relations Code of British Columbia, all employees working at Xxxxxx Gardens and Woodland shall be employees of Vancouver Island University and shall be included under the trade union certification held by CUPE Local 1858. 2) The collective agreement between Vancouver Island University and CUPE Local 1858 shall apply to Xxxxxx Gardens and Woodland employees with exceptions or amendments as listed in this agreement. 3) Employees will be required to rotate shifts (maximum frequency of one (1) weekend in four (4)) in order to provide Duty Person coverage on Saturdays, and Sundays. Any short shift premium will be waived for this. 4) The current and future use of volunteer labour, paid and unpaid student work experience, and externally funded employment opportunities at Xxxxxx Gardens and Woodland shall continue, provided that no volunteer or student shall cause the layoff or reduction in scheduled hours of an employee. Where it is operationally and fiscally possible, (subject to the funding agency specifications, if any) externally funded work opportunities will augment employment hours of employees up to full-time.   • Shift Changes When an employee is assigned to a specific shift and that assignment is changed, the employee shall be given seven (7) calendar days’ notice prior to the change.

  • Project Changes 1.8.1. All changes shall be administered per the UGC. 1.8.2. Upon authorization by the Owner, the Owner or Architect/Engineer will prepare and issue all changes to the Contract affecting cost, scope and/or time as a formal Change Order to the Contract on the standard University of Texas MD Xxxxxxxx Cancer Center Change Order form. The Change Order may include separate change issues, identified as Change Proposals and field orders. 1.8.3. Upon authorization by the Owner, Change Proposals may be issued to the Architect/Engineer for pricing by the Contractor. Contractor shall submit pricing to the Owner within twenty-one (21) days and pricing shall be indicated on the standard Owner "Change in Work Cost Analysis" ("Cost Analysis") form provided in the Pre-Construction Conference Brochure. Contractor may not include a Change Proposal within a Change Order unless the Owner has accepted the Change Proposal. 1.8.3.1. The Contractor shall summarize all costs for each change at each level of subcontractor and supplier by preparing the "Cost Analysis" form, and shall provide each subcontractor's cost summary on separate "Cost Analysis" forms as backup. Additional support documentation from both the Contractor and Contractor’s subcontractors is encouraged, but such will not replace use of the standard form. 1.8.3.2. When the Contractor believes it is entitled to a time extension, Contractor shall so state as part of Contractor’s response to the Change Proposal, including a justifica- tion for a time extension. Owner may grant time extensions only if a Change Proposal affects the activities on the Longest Path of an Owner approved Work Progress Schedule; i.e., when the Work impacts the "Contract Substantial Completion Date". 1.8.3.3. If the Owner’s Project Manager and Contractor cannot mutually agree upon a fair and reasonable cost and time settlement, the Owner’s Project Manager may: 1) Reject the quotation and void the Change Proposal, 2) Issue instructions to the Contractor to proceed on a time and material basis for a price to be determined later not to exceed a fixed maximum dollar and time, or 3) Issue a Unilateral Change Order. 1.8.3.4. The Owner’s Construction Inspector and/or Owner’s Project Manager may issue field orders directly to the Contractor for minor changes to the Contract, which can be negotiated in the field. Pricing backup is at the discretion of the Owner’s Construction Inspector, but pricing backup is required for any field order, the pricing backup is to be outlined on the "Cost Analysis" form. When the Owner and Contractor have signed the field order, the Work is authorized and the field order may be included in the next Change Order. 1.8.4. Request for payment for Change Order work may be submitted only after the Change Order has been fully executed.

  • Insignificant Changes No adjustment in the Purchase Price shall be required unless such adjustment would require an increase or decrease of at least 1% in the Purchase Price. Any adjustments which by reason of this Section 11.5 are not required to be made shall be carried forward and taken into account in any subsequent adjustment. All calculations under this Section 11 shall be made to the nearest cent or to the nearest one-hundred thousandth of a Preferred Share or the nearest one-hundredth of a Common Share or other share or security, as the case may be.

  • Agreement Changes The Company reserves the right to change the terms of this Agreement and the Plan without your consent to the extent necessary or desirable to comply with the requirements of Code section 409A, the Treasury regulations and other guidance thereunder.

  • Term SOFR Conforming Changes In connection with the use or administration of Term SOFR, the Administrative Agent will have the right to make Conforming Changes from time to time and, notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein or in any other Loan Document, any amendments implementing such Conforming Changes will become effective without any further action or consent of any other party to this Agreement or any other Loan Document. The Administrative Agent will promptly notify the Borrower and the Lenders of the effectiveness of any Conforming Changes in connection with the use or administration of Term SOFR.

  • Product Changes Vocera shall have the right, in its absolute discretion, without liability to End User, to update to provide new functionality or otherwise change the design of any Product or to discontinue the manufacture or sale of any Product. Vocera shall notify End User at least 90 days prior to the delivery of any Product which incorporates a change that adversely affects form, fit or function (“Material Change”). Vocera shall also notify End User at least 90 days prior to the discontinuance of manufacture of any Product. Notification will be made as soon as reasonably practical for changes associated with regulatory or health and safety issues.
