SHUT DOWN PERIODS. The Company may direct an Employee to take a period of paid annual leave during all or part of the Company’s shut down periods where the Employer shuts down the business, part of the business, or a site where the Employee works (e.g. Easter and Christmas/New Year periods).

SHUT DOWN PERIODS. The GBCMA management may enact a shutdown period requiring staff to use current leave balances within a specified period. The GBCMA offers staff flexible leave practices and it is expected that all staff together with their manager ensure that leave liability is minimised and that carry forward of leave is by exception. Good leave management practices should be demonstrated across the Authority. In the circumstance where a shutdown is required the Authority must abide by the following: The shutdown would require a 3 month notice period. Within the notice period the Authority would confirm the dates for the shutdown and a process for whom the shutdown would apply. The shutdown period would not exceed 2 weeks in total
SHUT DOWN PERIODS. Where the employer has an annual shut-down period, the employee may be directed to take accrued annual leave during the period of the close down. The employer will provide the employee with 14 days notice regarding the annual shut-down dates.
SHUT DOWN PERIODS. Where the Company determines that due to commercial circumstances there is a need to close or stand down employee(s) for a period not exceeding four weeks the Company shall give those employee(s) effected notice in writing at least four weeks prior to the closure or standing down. Employee(s) may use their Annual Leave entitlement or take special leave without pay during the closure or standing down periods.
SHUT DOWN PERIODS. Where the Company shuts down the business or part of its business for a particular period (i.e. Christmas shutdown), Employees will be provided with 28 days’ written notice in writing. Employees may be directed to take annual leave for this shutdown period. Where an Employee does not have sufficient annual leave accrued to cover the full duration of the shutdown period that Employee may request to use any existing long service leave accruals instead. Employees may otherwise be required by the Company to take the period in excess of the Employee’s accrued annual leave entitlement as leave without pay or, where agreed in writing, paid leave in advance.
SHUT DOWN PERIODS. If the Employer: (i) intends to shut down all of its operation in conjunction with the Christmas/New Year period (temporary shutdown period); and (ii) wishes to require affected employees to take paid annual leave during that period. a) The employer must give the affected employees two months’ written notice of a temporary shutdown period, or any shorter period agreed between the employer and the majority of relevant employees. b) The employer must give written notice of a temporary shutdown period to any employee who is engaged after the notice is given under clause 16(a) and who will be affected by that period, as soon as reasonably practicable after the employee is engaged. c) The employer may direct the employee to take a period of paid annual leave to which the employee has accrued an entitlement during a temporary shutdown period. d) A direction by the employer under this clause must be in writing and be reasonable. e) The employee must take paid annual leave in accordance with a direction under clause 16(c) f) In respect of any part of a temporary shutdown period which is not the subject of a direction under clause 16(c), an employer and an employee may agree, in writing, for the employee to take leave without pay during that part of the temporary shutdown period.
SHUT DOWN PERIODS. Fire Prevention (Inspections, Plans Examination, Public Education), all Clerical staff, Fire Account Receivable Coordinator, and the GIS/Mapper Technician will follow the Christmas Shut Down period and the Thanksgiving weekend shut down, as established by the City of Mississauga, such employees must schedule their vacation time, time owing, floater holiday or lieu time to cover this period, or request an unpaid Leave of Absence during these shut downs. Employees will be permitted, with the permission of their supervisor, to work and bank additional hours during the year, accrued at straight time hours, to build sufficient lieu hours to accommodate the shut down days.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as close as possible to the middle of the scheduled hours of work. The length of the meal period shall be agreed to at the local level and shall be not less than 30 minutes nor more than 60 minutes. (b) An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the meal period shall be considered as time worked.

  • Break Periods There will be no rest periods, organized coffee breaks or other non-working time established during working hours. Individual coffee containers will be permitted at the employee’s work location.

  • Waiting Periods All applicable waiting periods, if any, under the HSR Act shall have expired or been terminated.

  • Renewal Periods Renewal of registered names may be made in one (1) year increments for up to a maximum of ten (10) years. For the avoidance of doubt, renewal of registered names may not extend their registration period beyond ten (10) years from the time of the renewal.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Listing Period Extension The Commission shall be due if the Property is sold, conveyed, exchanged, optioned, or otherwise transferred within _ _ days (“Extension Period”) after the expiration of the Listing Period to anyone with whom the Broker or Agency has negotiated unless the Property is listed, in good faith, with another real estate agency. The term “negotiation” shall include providing information about the Property, showing the Property, or presenting an offer on the Property. All rights under this Section shall terminate upon the expiration of the Extension Period.

  • Retention periods Documentation which serves as evidence of orderly and proper data processing must be retained by ATOSS in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods beyond the end of the contract. To relieve itself of this obligation, ATOSS may turn said documentation over to the Customer at the end of the contract.

  • Trial Periods Where you take a product or service on a trial basis for a reduced or zero charge for a fixed period, unless otherwise advised to you in writing, you need to give us notice in writing if you wish to cancel the product or service at the end of the trial. If you fail to give us notice then we will automatically invoice you for the product or service at the end of the trial for the remainder of the agreed contract term.
