Stand-By Allowance. (a) ‘Stand-by’ shall mean a situation where the Commissioner rosters or directs a member to remain at their place of employment at that time, or other place approved by the Commissioner, to perform duties as required. (b) A member may be directed to be on stand-by where there is a clear expectation of an imminent requirement to return to duty and the member is required as is necessary to be available and fit for immediate recall. (c) The Commissioner shall not approve payment of Stand-By Allowance unless satisfied that the requirements of this clause have been complied with. (d) Except with the express approval of the Commissioner, a member holding or acting in a rank above Senior Sergeant is not eligible to claim payment of the Stand-By Allowance. (e) Where a member on stand-by is required to return to duty, payment under this clause shall cease and the member shall be paid in accordance with clause 27 for the hours worked. (f) A member who is directed to be on stand-by will be eligible for payment of a Stand-By Allowance for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period calculated at 50% of the hourly rate of a Senior Constable on the top increment (7 weeks leave). (g) Where a restrictive duty circumstance arises that does not clearly fit into any of the situations described in this clause, the Commissioner may, in consultation with the NTPA, approve such other arrangements and rates of payment as are appropriate.
Stand-By Allowance. 26.01 Employees required to be on stand-by during their regular two (2) days and subsequent contiguous days of rest period will be compensated at one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day; employees requested to be on stand-by during the regular work week, after hours, shall be compensated at a rate of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day.
Stand-By AllowanceEmployees who are directed to be on stand-by shall be compensated on the same basis as After Hours Service Contract Personnel.
Stand-By AllowanceAn employee required by the employer to make themselves available for the purposes of the employer outside ordinary hours of duty shall be paid a stand-by allowance. This is in addition to any other payments that the employee may attract under the terms of this Agreement.
Stand-By AllowanceAn employee authorised by the employer regularly rostered on an approved roster for stand-by duty to meet emergency situations, who is required to stand-by at his/her home on immediate call and may be required for immediate recall to duty, shall:
Stand-By Allowance. 4.1 In view of the intermittent character of the work of certain S & C Coordinators, S & C Technicians, S & C Leading Maintainers, S & C Leading Mechanics, S & C Maintainers, S & C Mechanics, S & C Assistants, S & C Apprentices and S & C Helpers, they will be paid in addition to their regular earnings for time actually worked, a stand-by allowance of 6.75 straight time hours per week at the applicable hourly rate of the job they occupy. The provisions of Articles 4.2 to 4.16 inclusive, will apply to employees referred to in this Article. 4.2 Employees will be paid in accordance with Article 6 for work performed outside of regular hours on regular work days, on call days and on rest days. 4.3 Employees shall be assigned one regular rest day per week, Sunday if possible, and service on such assigned rest day shall be governed by Article 7. 4.4 Employees shall be assigned one call day per week, either Saturday or Sunday, and one rest day per week, either Saturday or Sunday, except that, at those locations where more than one shift is required, such employees shall be assigned one call day per week and one rest day per week which shall be consecutive. 4.5 On call days and outside of regular hours, employees will protect calls on their own territory. They will be available for calls unless they make suitable arrangements with the S & C Supervisor for the protection of their territory without involving additional expense to the Company and so advise the Rail Traffic Controller.
Stand-By Allowance a) If an employee is ordered to remain on board the vessel during his or her free time for stand-by duty under Chapter 4, Section 6 of the Seafarers' Employment Contracts Act or for some other related important reason, the employee shall receive 1/320 of his/her monthly wages for each commencing hour on working days and 1/160 of his/her monthly wages for public holidays and Sundays. Instead of stand-by compensation, work performed during the stand-by time is compensated with overtime remuneration. The employer shall aim to notify the employees of stand-by duty well in advance before the end of regular working hours. b) If an employee is ordered to come to the vessel during his or her free time for performing a task, the employee shall receive overtime remuneration for two hours of overtime work on a weekday if the employee is not entitled to stand-by compensation under the provisions of the first paragraph above.
Stand-By AllowanceAn Employee called upon to stand by, that is to hold himself or herself available if wanted, shall be paid the following rates: (a) Between normal finishing and starting time Monday to Friday $25, between the hours of 5pm and 12pm; (b) On a Saturday, Sunday or any of the holidays prescribed in the Award - $30, between the hours 8am Saturday to 8am Sunday and 8am Sunday until 8am Monday.
Stand-By AllowanceAny employee, who after finishing duty for the day is required to remain contactable and available at short notice will be paid a minimum of 1 hour's pay at ordinary rates. An employee who is required to remain contactable and available at short notice for a Saturday and/or Sunday and/or public holidays will be paid a minimum of 2 hours pay at the rate applicable to that day. It is at management’s discretion as to whether the stand by provision will be applied.
Stand-By Allowance. Technicians who are rostered to perform stand- by duties after their normal working hours shall be paid a stand-by allowance of $250.00 per month.
