The Academy will research information systems and select one that meets the following criteria: • User-friendly for parents, students, and school staff. • Meets budget limitations. • Interfaces with standards based grading. • Tracks students’ attendance, demographic, and health records. • Fee management. The student information system will be in place before the first year of operation begins.
Student Information System. Households can be set up in one of two ways. Please choose:
i. One Household: OR Separate Households: • Both parents will receive all school and grade related communications. This includes school newsletters, alerts, and teacher correspondence. Both parents will have access to student information on FACTS Family Portal. Regardless of household status in FACTS, all information pertaining to students in their accounts may be accessed by custodial entities. • Only one parent can be listed as the Enrollment Responsible Parent. Student Information System. The School will utilize the same student information system and procedures as non-charter public schools.
Student Information System. Concept shall provide a student information system (Concept SIS) that includes, but is not limited to, each of the following:
a. Online student registration and data maintenance;
b. Student records and employee files management;
c. Parent access (assignments, discipline, attendance, etc.);
d. Report cards and transcripts;
e. Student discipline management;
f. Student/staff/course schedules;
g. Compliance with state requirements for reporting of student enrollment information;
h. Attendance, grading, and log book;
i. Curriculum and lesson planning;
j. Online assessment and data reporting;
k. Extra-curricular activities management;
l. Staff performance management; m. E-forms (leave request, reimbursements, purchase request, etc.);
n. Clock in/out system for staff;
o. Employee attendance management;
p. Dashboard for administrators;
q. Online job applications module; and
r. System alerts. The School acknowledges that, in designating employees of Concept as school officials with a legitimate educational interest in the School’s student records, Concept employees will have access to student records and employee files to perform necessary functions for the same purposes as the School Employees. Concept shall make all reasonable efforts to establish and maintain, and have established, maintained, implemented and complied with, reasonable information technology, information security, cyber security and data protection controls, policies and procedures that are designed to protect against and prevent breach, destruction, loss, unauthorized distribution, use, access, disablement, misappropriation or modification, or other compromise or misuse of or relating to student records.

Student Information System. Service provider shall provide support for the School(s) student information system. In the event that the student information system is hosted by a third-party software provider, the cost of such provider shall be borne solely by SIGNATURE. Any costs incurred shall be approved by the Board or their designee prior to incursion unless specifically provided for in the annual budget.
