Training in Service Clause Samples
The "Training in Service" clause establishes the obligation for one party, typically the service provider, to deliver training to the other party or its personnel as part of the contracted services. This training may cover the use of specific equipment, software, or procedures necessary for the effective utilization of the services provided. For example, it might require the provider to conduct workshops or hands-on sessions to ensure staff are competent in operating new systems. The core function of this clause is to ensure that the recipient of the service is adequately prepared to use or maintain the delivered solution, thereby reducing operational errors and maximizing the value of the service.
Training in Service. The City recognizes that it is impossible to select by an examination process, persons who are fully competent when appointed to perform all duties to which they may be appointed. The employee shall be given all help possible to qualify during the employee's probationary period. The City shall form a Joint Training Committee with appropriate representation from the Administration, Civil Service and the Union to cooperate and assist in the establishment of various training programs to assist City employees in qualifying for promotions to higher positions. Based upon the above paragraph, the City shall establish training programs for all Local 20 employees to establish minimum requirements to become qualified to test for the following classifications:
(a) Tandem Truck Driver
(b) Refuse Truck Driver
(c) Water Reclamation Maintenance Worker
Training in Service. The parties believe that job satisfaction and performance are enhanced by ongoing skills training. Therefore, when additional training/in-service is required by the employer or requested by a group of employees and approved by the employer, such training shall be provided. Attendance by staff will be mandatory and time spent at the workshop shall be considered as time worked. An attempt will be made to coordinate staff training on days when students are not in session and on the second professional development day outlined in Article 24.06 (c).
Training in Service.
8.1 Required Training/In-service: Employees attending training/in-service courses required by the District as a condition of employment, will be paid by the District at the employee’s hourly rate of pay for all time in attendance, plus any fees, tuition and travel expenses. Such, training/inservice scheduled outside the employee's work day shall be paid at his/her hourly rate of pay. Overtime provisions will also be in effect for this provision.
8.2 Voluntary Training/Inservice Program: Funds may be used to allow employees to participate in self-selected training activities. Requests for such training will be submitted on the In- Service/Clock Hour/Quarter Credit Training Request Form in Appendix B of this Agreement. Requests shall be granted except where the employee’s absence would severely impact District/building operations and it is not possible to make arrangements to alleviate the disruption. Time spent during the normal workday in training/inservice activities related to skills that are required for the job is not considered part of these hours.
8.3 The District will provide in-district training for any new or significantly changed hardware, software, forms or procedures.
Training in Service. The parties agree that in-service training shall be provided each year to all employees. In- service training may include district workshops, out-of-district workshops, college courses, on the job training and individualized and group training programs. The subject matter and timing shall be determined by the Employer and shall not interfere with the regular operation of the school district. Training in Service. The District will pay to maintain the employee's required first-aid card. The District will, in good faith, support coaches and advisors with resources for training, certification and other requirements necessary for the conduct of their services to the district. A request for funds to attend conferences, clinics, etc., will be made to the Athletic Director. At the bottom of the non-certificated salary schedule, a statement as to the dollar amount to support certification for coaches will be added.
Training in Service. A. Employees attending training courses required by State regulation or District policy as a condition of employment, will be paid by the District at the employee's regular hourly rate of pay for all time in attendance, plus any fee or tuition.
B. Employees attending training courses or seminars requested by the employee and approved by the District will suffer no loss of regular salary if the course requires them to attend during their regular employment time. The District will pay expenses incurred for training or licensing. Overtime provisions will also be in effect for this section.
C. The District shall pay all required fees, certificates, health tests, and in-service needed to maintain job.
