Transfers - Voluntary. (A) Any teacher desiring a transfer shall submit a written request to the Superintendent stating the specific assignment or nature of the assignment desired.
(B) Such transfer request will be considered by the District in staffing decisions.
Transfers - Voluntary. 1. All known or anticipated vacancies for the subsequent school year shall be posted on or about March 15 of each year. Tenured bargaining unit members shall complete an application for transfer to any posted position or to a particular school whether or not a specific opening exists at that school at the time of the posting before the posting closes.
2. The application for transfer shall include up to two openings or desired locations for which the bargaining unit member wishes to be considered.
3. Positions filled on or before the first day of the student school year shall not be subject to annual posting procedures. That is, such positions need not be posted if the vacancy becomes known to the Board and is filled after the Annual Posting is finalized and on or before the first day of the student school year. Further, the Parties agree that there is no requirement to post any position that becomes vacant as a result of a bargaining unit member being selected for a position as a result of an application made through the annual posting process to a generalized position or a school location. Additionally, a position, which becomes vacant because a member was selected for a position as a result of the Annual Posting, may be filled directly with an outside applicant without regard to any applicants for generalized positions or school locations from the Annual Posting (e.g. if teacher x, a third grade teacher, applies for “any second grade position” as part of the Annual Posting and a second grade position becomes available during the summer and is selected, the third grade position which becomes vacant during the summer will not be posted and may be filled directly by an outside candidate.).

Transfers - Voluntary. A teacher who desires to transfer from one teaching position to another shall make their desires known in writing to the Superintendent.
Transfers - Voluntary. 9.2.1 Any administrator interested in seeking a transfer (within his/her current division or to another division) should submit a letter to his/her supervisor and the Chief Administrative Officer notifying him/her of this intent (refer to section 9.1.7.1).

A Unit Member desiring a transfer for the following school year may request a change in assignment by submitting a request via the District’s Declaration of Intention Survey in January each school year. Any additional requests will be submitted by email to the Department of Human Resources by June 30th each year. Transfer requests shall be con- sidered valid until August 31st each year for placement in the new school year.
B. A list of those wishing to transfer will be provided to the union leadership once finalized in July.
C. Unit members who notify the District via email of a desire to transfer to a different loca- tion for the following new school year will receive priority consideration in the event that such a vacancy occurs. If such a vacancy occurs, the unit member requesting transfer will be notified by the building administrator where the vacancy exists. If a Unit Member is requesting a different position for the new school year, they will follow the same pro- cess.
D. If the position to which a Unit Member was granted a transfer is eliminated prior to the Unit Member assuming his or her new duties, the transfer shall be deemed null and void. In such event the Unit Member shall retain all the rights and privileges of his or her cur- rent assignment. In the case where a Unit Member has been excessed from a building assignment, placed in a new assignment in another location and then a position opens up in the original building, every effort will be made to return the Unit Member to his or her original assignment.
E. Positions (certified or Civil Service non-competitive or labor class) will be filled based on district seniority with the exception of a Child Care Associate and Special Education Monitor which are chosen based on “best fit for the student(s)”.
F. Confirmation of summer placement will be made via email prior to the new school year beginning.
G. A list of those Unit Members transferred will be provided to the union leadership prior to the start of school.
Transfers - Voluntary. Teachers who desire a change in grade and/or subject assignment, or who desire to transfer to another building, may file a written statement of such preference with the Principal and Superintendent. Said statement must be filed by April 1st to be effective for the upcoming school year for positions posted prior to April 1 of that year.
Transfers - Voluntary. An employee may submit to his/her supervisor, and to the Director or his/her designee, an expression of interest for a future transfer to a new or vacant position, should one occur. Neither the supervisor, nor the Director or his/her designee, shall have any responsibility to monitor new or vacant positions for the purpose of notifying an employee thereof, and the employee shall be solely responsible to apply for a new or vacant position when it occurs. When an employee applies for a transfer to a specific vacancy, consideration shall be given to an applicant’s educational background, relevant experience, and characteristics desired in the job available.
Transfers - Voluntary. Any Association employee who seeks to transfer from his or her current position into a vacancy may apply for the vacancy pursuant to the procedure outlined in 14.1. Employee applicants will be interviewed and considered prior to outside applicants. Where more than one employee applicant is being considered for a transfer, seniority in the District shall be considered.
Transfers - Voluntary. An employee transferred to another position in the same class will continue to receive the same pay rate until he is promoted or demoted or until his pay rate is adjusted in accordance with this Article.
Transfers - Voluntary. 13.3.1 A permanent bargaining unit employee may request a transfer for each numbered Notice of Vacancy by submitting a classified application. Referred employees will only be subject to the interview process.
