Any Employee still on-board past midday who is meant to depart the Vessel will be paid a Duty Day. 23.5 Where, in connection with a crew change an Employee spends more than one "off-duty" day (which does not include swing-off day) travelling to or from the Vessel, the Employee shall be paid a Dead Day for each additional day or part thereof spent travelling. 23.6 From the first pay period commencing on or after this Agreement commences, any days or part thereof spent travelling prior to the day on which the Employee joins a Vessel, will be treated as a Dead Day. 23.7 Where the two-crew duty system does not operate, or where a crew member has no relief covered by this Agreement, the swing-off day will be paid at the value of a Duty Day and will accrue a day's pay and a day's leave. 23.8 Where in connection with a crew change an Employee is required at the direction of TOS, a client, or the government to undertake quarantining/isolation, an Employee shall be entitled to a payment to the value of a Duty Day for each day or part day confined. In addition, an allowance of $110.00 per day shall also be payable without receipt.

In such case all leave in advance may be recovered.

This subclause 23.8 does not apply to Cadets and Trainees when on board a Vessel in a supernumerary capacity.
TWO CREW DUTY SYSTEM. ‌ a) A two-crew duty system will operate providing for the appointment of two crews to each vessel, one On Duty and the other Off Duty. b) An Employee On Duty will receive a Duty Day for each day spent On Duty under the two crew duty system. c) Where in connection to a crew change, an Employee travelling to the vessel will receive a Duty Day. d) An Employee who spends more than one-day travelling to the vessel, will receive Dead Day for each additional full day spent travelling to the vessel. e) The day spent travelling from the vessel to the Employees home port is considered leave day, provided the Employee does not travel after midnight of the same day. f) Where in connection with a crew change an Employee spends more than two Off Duty days (which includes sign off day) travelling from the vessel, the Employee will receive a Dead Day for each additional full day spent travelling. g) Where the two crew duty system is in place and Employees are changing out with one another, an Employee may be required to perform duties for all or part of the crew change day, i.e. the first Off Duty day. h) Where the two crew duty system does not operate, or where a crew member has no relief, the swing-off day will be treated as a Duty Day.

The leave accrual ratio of 1.153 days for each day of duty shall give effect to, amongst other things, annual leave of 35 days, public holidays, leave in lieu of a 35-hour week, personal/carer's leave, compassionate leave and time spent travelling in off duty time. 14.3. Any extended period off (i.e., outside of the normal swing) is to be taken at a mutually agreed time, having regard to the operational necessity of ensuring that only part of the permanent crew members in each department on the Vessel take such time off at any one time, to ensure the continued operational efficiency of the Vessel. 14.4. When proceeding on an extended period off, it is the responsibility of the Engineer Officer to ensure that they have sufficient entitlements due, to enable them to draw continuous pay up to the day of the regular crew change when they are due to re-join their Vessel. 14.5. The "on duty" period commences the day the Engineer Officer joins the Vessel. The "off duty" period commences on the day after the day the Engineer Officer leaves the Vessel. Calculations are done on the basis that the day of joining the ship is counted as a day of duty and the day of leaving the ship will be treated as a dead day. 14.6. Where in connection with a crew change an Employee spends more than one off duty day travelling to or from their Vessel, the Employee will be paid a dead day for each additional day or part thereof spent travelling to or from the Vessel. 14.7. Where an Engineer being relieved has, 14.7.1. In the previous 24 hours completed a substantial part of the 12-hour day and 14.7.2. Voice Information services Traffic is not subject to Reciprocal Compensation as Local Traffic under the Interconnection Attachment. 5.2 If a Reconex Customer is served by resold Verizon Telecommunications Service or a Verizon Local Switching UNE, subject to any call blocking feature used by Reconex, to the extent reasonably feasible, Verizon will route Voice Information Services Traffic originating from such Service or UNE to the Voice Information Service platform. For such Voice Information Services Traffic, unless Reconex has entered into an arrangement with Verizon to ▇▇▇▇ and collect Voice Information Services provider charges from Reconex’s Customers, Reconex shall pay to Verizon without discount the Voice Information Services provider charges.   • DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS Contractor will comply with the requirements of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1990 and will provide a drug-free workplace by taking the following actions: a. Publish a statement notifying employees that unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of a controlled substance is prohibited and specifying actions to be taken against employees for violations. b. Establish a Drug-Free Awareness Program to inform employees about: 1) the dangers of drug abuse in the workplace; 2) the person's or organization's policy of maintaining a drug-free workplace; 3) any available counseling, rehabilitation and employee assistance programs; and, 4) penalties that may be imposed upon employees for drug abuse violations. c. Every employee who works on the proposed Agreement will: 1) receive a copy of the company's drug-free workplace policy statement; and, 2) agree to abide by the terms of the company's statement as a condition of employment on the Agreement. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in suspension of payments under the Agreement or termination of the Agreement or both and Contractor may be ineligible for award of any future State agreements if the department determines that any of the following has occurred: the Contractor has made false certification, or violated the certification by failing to carry out the requirements as noted above.
