UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. 10.17.3.1 Effective July 1, 2023, employees in the Department of Public Safety will receive a Uniform & Equipment Allowance of one thousand four hundred dollars ($1,400.00) per fiscal year, to be distributed in four equal payments during the fiscal year. 10.17.3.2 Effective July 1, 2023, all employees covered under this Agreement will be eligible to receive a footwear allowance of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per biennium.

UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. 7.1 Regular, fulltime police personnel required to acquire and maintain uniforms and equipment in the performance of their duties shall receive an annual allowance of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to be paid in two equal payments, one in the first paycheck in July of each year and the other in the first paycheck in January of each year. 7.2 Allowances may be used to acquire and maintain the specific departmental uniform in a neat and proper manner, including any and all officer equipment, uniform supplies or weapons not supplied by the Police Department. 7.3 Upon request, the uniform allowance may be advanced to new members for the initial purchase of uniforms. If the new employee leaves service with the department prior to one year of service, the employee shall be required to pay back the uniform allowance as follows: Length of Service Payback Schedule 1 – 92 days 100% of allowance 93 – 184 days 50% of allowance 185- 276 days 25% of allowance Any amount due to the City will be deducted from the employee’s final payment of compensation from City. 7.4 Newly appointed, sworn personnel shall be issued a service pistol, holster and set of hand cuffs, per City standard issue, at City expense. 7.5 City will report to CalPERS $1,000 for acquiring, maintaining, and replacing uniforms to all employees covered under this Agreement who are required to wear uniforms provided by the City. The City will report the total amount of each payment for the initial cost, and/or maintenance, and/or replacement of uniforms, for each employee. The amounts of each payment reported to CalPERS will derive from Section 7.1 of Article II of this agreement.
UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. Uniforms and equipment shall be furnished by the Employer to each employee. Each Association employee shall be provided a uniform/equipment allowance of $1,100 at the beginning of each year. This allowance will be used, upon approval of the Chief of Police, for maintaining List A items due to normal wear and tear and shall not be taxed. It will be placed into a separate account that the officer can charge to. It is the officer’s responsibility to keep track of how much money has been used. If the officer exceeds the amount allowed, then he/she shall pay the difference. This money may also be used to purchase any item that may be useful in the performance of the officer’s duties, provided that all purchases shall have prior approval of the Police Chief. The City shall not unreasonably delay the purchase of any item. A probationary officer is not entitled to this allowance. When an officer is released from probation, they will be entitled to a prorated allowance. All issued uniforms and related service equipment purchased with City funds shall remain the property of the employer and to the extent possible shall be returned to the employer upon separation from employment unless otherwise determined by the Police Chief. No purchases shall be made after November 30. Each employee shall receive a new Bratwear Jumpsuit each January 1 not to exceed $500.00
UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. 20.1 The budget of the Department each year shall have an account known as "Uniform/Equipment Allowance". Each permanent employee of the bargaining unit shall be provided uniforms or a uniform/equipment allowance. Uniform/Equipment Allowance shall be used for upkeep, replacement, maintenance, and fees associated with all uniform items and any electronic devices.
UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. Each calendar year starting January 1 and ending December 31, the township shall allow each employee an open account of Five Hundred Dollars to purchase any uniforms and equipment so desired. UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. 15.1 Deputies shall receive an annual taxable cash uniform/equipment allowance of $860. 15.2 The uniform/equipment allowance shall be paid in cash one-half (1/2) on the 13th payroll of each year and one-half (1/2) on the 26th payroll of each year. 15.3 The cost of the initial uniform issued by the Sheriff shall be deducted from the uniform/equipment allowance. No uniform/equipment allowance will be paid until credit sufficient to cover the cost of the initial issue has been earned. 15.4 When an employee has worked for the Employer for a period of time sufficient that he/she has earned a uniform/equipment allowance in an amount which will pay for the initial issue of the uniform and equipment, he/she shall own the uniform and equipment. 15.5 An employee may apply for the replacement of uniform items damaged in the line of duty. The decision to pay for all or part of the replacement costs will be made by the Employer and shall not be appealable. The criteria that will be used by the Employer will include, but is not limited to, the circumstances of damage, the condition of the article prior to and after the event, the value of the article and the reasonableness of use. 15.6 Part-time Deputies working less than 40 hours per week shall receive 50% of the annual uniform allowance shown above.
UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. Effective January 1, 2015, an allowance for clothing and equipment shall be paid to each eligible detective at the rate of three hundred dollars ($300) annually, which shall be paid in a lump sum commencing with the first pay period of each calendar year. Sergeant, State Investigators will be expected to maintain and update their own uniform as needed. The State will no longer be required to replace damaged or worn uniform components.

UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. Uniform/equipment allowance shall be paid to sworn employees of the CCPOA at the rate of $120.00 per month for purchase, maintenance and replacement of uniforms and equipment. Effective the first pay period following July 1, 2016, an additional $15 per month shall be paid by the City as a non-PERSable uniform allowance.
UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. Effective May 1, 2024 each non- probationary employee shall be credited with a $1,000.00 annual uniform / equipment allowance when such items are approved for use by Chief of Police pursuant to a voucher system whereby the employee can purchase approved uniform items or approved equipment in the amount of $1,000.00 annually at a City-approved uniform outlet or outlets. $200.00 of this allowance may be used each year for the purchase of ammunition to be used off duty. Officers may carry over not more than $200 of unused clothing allowance from year to the next. In the event an employee resigns or retires without providing at least twenty-one (21) days advance written notice to the City, then the employee shall be obligated to repay his or her uniform allowance for the prior 12 months, the amount of which may be deducted from the employee’s final paycheck. The City shall provide new employees with the following uniform items; provided, however, that a new employee shall not receive any uniform allowance for the first twelve (12) months of service:
UNIFORM/EQUIPMENT ALLOWANCE. Section 1. The purchase and maintenance of required uniforms and equipment including safety glasses for Highway Department employees will be supplied at the expense of the Town through a Quarter Master system operated by the Town. To include replacement and cleaning of uniforms as needed. The basic provisions of the standard uniform for these employees will include trousers, shirt, winter suitable jackets, and steel toed boots. Section 2. The Town will provide Highway Department employees with an annual allowance of up to $500 for the purchase of steel toed boots approved by the Department Head. Section 3. The uniform allowance for Police Department employees will be Seven Hundred and Fifty ($750.00) Dollars. The uniform allowance may be used to replace worn or damaged uniforms. Uniforms shall include only those items of clothing or equipment determined suitable by the Chief of Police. Police ballistic vests will be purchased and/or replaced as needed by the Department and will not be charged to the individual officer’s uniform allowance.
