Union Educational Leave. At the Union's request, in writing, a member or members will be granted leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority for Union education. Such leave must be requested at least two (2) weeks in advance of such leave and not more than five (5) members of the Union or two (2) members from any department will be granted such leave for the same period. Union education leave will be limited to not more than thirty (30) working days each year and will be subject to the efficient operation of the Association.
Union Educational Leave. OP29-9 Leaves of absence (without pay) will be granted to those bargaining unit members who are elected or selected by the executive committee of the Union to attend educational classes conducted by the Union, labor institute or educational institution; or to attend other Union related activities.
Union Educational Leave a. Leave of absence without pay shall be granted to any employee with 2080 straight-time hours or more of service, who is elected or selected by the Union to attend educational classes or conventions conducted by the Union.
b. The number of employees on union educational leave will not exceed one (1). The number of working days for any one employee will not exceed five
Union Educational Leave. Leaves of absence with pay will be granted to those employees who are elected or selected by the Union to attend educational classes conducted by the Union. One Hundred and Twenty (120) hours per contract year shall be allocated to the bargaining unit for Union educational leave purposes. Union educational leave hours will not carry over from year to year. Four (4) employees only from each department shall take leave at any one time and any one (1) employee in the bargaining unit shall take no more than forty (40) hours of this leave per year. Employees requesting release time under this provision shall identify the class or seminar they wish to attend, including times, dates and place. The Union agrees to use this leave reasonably. UNION BUSINESS LEAVE
Union Educational Leave. Employees who are elected or selected by the Local Union to attend educational classes conducted by the Union, or for the Union, or duly elected delegates to the FOP/OLC International Convention, or the Annual Convention of the FOP Council, shall be treated as though applying for personal leave and such leave shall be without pay, without loss of seniority and in such numbers of Bargaining Unit Members as approved by the Director, Police/Safety with due consideration to the efficient operation of the Department. Such leave shall not normally exceed five (5) working days per employee in any one fiscal year. Such leave shall be granted whenever practical, and upon presentation of proper documentation to the Employer.
Union Educational Leave. Leaves of absence (without pay) will be granted to those employees who are elected or selected by the Union to attend educational classes conducted by the Union. The number will not exceed one (1) employee, and the number of working days will not exceed five (5) for each employee in any one (1) calendar year. The parties agree that granting leaves will be dependent upon adequate notice to FSU to enable it to find replacement help where necessary. The Union further agrees that FSU need not relieve more than one (1) employee from any one (1) job classification at the same time. FSU reserves the right to designate key work days, which will not be used for educational leave purposes due to pressing need for personnel at the University.

Employees who have been selected by the Union to attend Union conventions or conferences or attend to other Union business shall be granted a leave of absence by the Employer on the following conditions: • the maximum one (1) person per department is on such leave of absence at any one (1) time; • the Employer receives written notice from the business agent of not less than thirty (30) days prior to the start of the leave of absence.

The Employeragrees to grant an employee a leave of absence without pay for up to one (1) year to work in an official capacity for the Union, provided such request is made by an authorized representativeof the Union. The Union agrees to notify the Employer thirty (30) days prior to the return to work of such employee.
Union Educational Leave a. Leaves of absence without pay shall be granted to any seniority employee who is elected or selected by the Union to attend educational classes or conventions conducted by the Union.
b. The number of employees on Union Educational Leave will not exceed the number indicated in the following schedule: UNIT NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES Chapter 01 One (1) Chapter 02 Two (2) Chapter 03 Two (2) Chapter 04 One (1) Chapter 08 One (1) Chapter 09 One (1) The number of employees on Union Educational Leave will not exceed more than one (1) from any department nor will the number of working days for any one (1) employee exceed ten (10) in any one (1) calendar year.
c. Seniority (reference Article VIII, Section 1) and continuous service for the purpose of benefit accrual rates shall continue for an employee on an authorized Educational Leave of Absence for the first thirty (30) calendar days (173 hours) of such leave. Upon return from a leave of absence, lasting longer than thirty (30) days (173 hours), an employee's seniority date, benefit dates and benefit accrual rates will be adjusted forward to take into account the length of the employee's absence; provided, however, that the employee shall be given the credit on his/her seniority date and benefit eligibility dates for the first thirty (30) calendar days (173 hours) of his/her absence. Any employees granted a Union Educational Leave of Absence shall be entitled to re-employment at the expiration of said leave in his/her former classification and Department, seniority permitting.
