Work Outside the Bargaining Unit. Where an employee who has passed his/her probationary period is transferred to another position outside the bargaining unit but within the Corporation, he/she will maintain Corporation seniority unless a break of service has occurred as outlined above in 5.2. Corporation seniority accrued by a person in another bargaining unit or outside this bargaining unit but within the Corporation will be carried over by that person if and when that person becomes an employee in this bargaining unit.

Work Outside the Bargaining Unit. 37.01 An employee who takes a permanent excluded position may be returned or choose to return to their former included position within six (6) months. The employee shall not have Collective Agreement coverage, or pay Union dues, for the six (6) month period and shall not accrue but shall maintain their seniority during that time.
Work Outside the Bargaining Unit. An employee transferred out of the Bargaining Unit for a period of not more than eighteen (18) months, shall retain, but not accumulate seniority held at the time of the transfer. In the event the employee is returned to a position in the bargaining unit, they shall be credited with seniority held at the time of transfer and resume accumulation from the date of their return to the bargaining unit.
Work Outside the Bargaining Unit. In the event that an employee covered by this Agreement should be to a supervisory or confidential position beyond the scope of this Agreement, shall retain the seniority previously acquired and shall have added thereto the seniority accumulated while serving in such supervisory or confidential capacity for a period of ninety (90) days except in cases of a bargaining unit employee promoted to an acting position replacing individual who is on pregnancy or parental leave in which case the period be an entire period and in cases of extended sick leave, for less than six (6)months.
Work Outside the Bargaining Unit. Should an Employee be given a position outside of the bargaining unit, he shall retain his Seniority for a period of three (3) consecutive calendar months during which time he may return to the bargaining unit upon his request or at the request of the Employer with no loss of Seniority. If the Employee goes beyond the above time limit he could only return to the bargaining unit if there was a vacancy, and would have no Seniority. Such an Employee would retain Company service for the purposes of his vacation entitlement only. It is agreed that an Employee can only be given a position outside of the bargaining unit once during the duration of the collective agreement. Should the Employee return to the bargaining unit and there is then no vacancy, by reason of his Seniority, he may displace the Employee with the least Seniority, provided he has the necessary qualifications, skills and ability to do the work. Notwithstanding the foregoing, it is further agreed, upon written notice to the Union, an Employee can be given a position outside of the bargaining unit on a temporary basis for purposes of participating in a special project, the term for which, shall not exceed a period of three (3) months. The Union agrees not to be unreasonable in the application of this Article.
Work Outside the Bargaining Unit. When the Employer temporarily assigns an Employee to carry out the responsibilities of salaried Employee outside of the bargaining unit, the Employee shall receive in the new classification the next rate immediately above the employee’s present rate for each hour worked, in each shift, from the time of the assignment. The Employer may recognize recent relevant experience in this temporary role within the last three (3) years in determining the appropriate wage rate.

  • Positions outside the Bargaining Unit (a) An employee may substitute temporarily in a position outside the bargaining unit for up to fifteen (15) months from the date of the assignment. Bargaining unit employees shall be given the first opportunity to fill the resulting vacancy. The employee shall have the right to return to her or his bargaining unit position prior to the expiry of the fifteen (15) month period by giving the Employer six (6) weeks’ notice. Where an employee is backfilling outside of the bargaining unit for purposes of pregnancy and/or parental leave, the period of time will be extended up to nineteen (19) months from the date of the assignment. An employee who remains outside of the bargaining unit beyond the period covered by this article shall lose all seniority. When the employee returns to the bargaining unit, all other employee(s) shall revert to their previous positions. An employee must remain in the bargaining unit for a period of at least three (3) months before transferring out of the bargaining unit again or she or he will lose all seniority held at the time of the subsequent transfer unless the parties agree otherwise.

  • Work of the Bargaining Unit (a) In order to protect the standard of nursing care, the Employer shall not contract out the work normally performed by members of this bargaining unit except:
