Annual Leave at Half Pay. Subject to Service delivery requirements and financial considerations, Anglicare SQ may approve an application to take Annual Leave at half pay for double the period of time. Where a request to take Annual Leave at half pay for is denied, Anglicare SQ will provide in writing to the employee the genuine reasons for not approving the leave, within two weeks of having received the application.

Annual Leave at Half Pay. (a) You may, by agreement with Xxxxx the Hirer, elect to take annual leave at half pay, in accordance with the following conditions: (i) A request for the taking of annual leave at half pay should be made at least 8 weeks in advance; (ii) You may only take up to a maximum of 8 weeks' annual leave each year; (iii) All additional annual leave taken at half pay must be taken when agreed to by you and Xxxxx the Hirer, and must not disrupt the operational requirements of the business.

Public holidays are factored into the deduction of accrued leave entitlements in annual leave at half pay situations, as follows: a. employees are paid for the public holiday at the amount that they would have been paid had the public holiday fallen on a day that they were not on annual leave (i.e.: at their full rate of pay); and b. no accrued annual leave will be deducted for that day, even though it falls within a period of annual leave at half pay.

When team members apply for leave ‘at half pay’, they are applying for a period of paid leave and an equal period of unpaid leave. These periods of leave are taken one after the other, and pay for the paid leave taken is averaged over the full leave period. 5.2.8. This means that while team members are on leave ‘at half pay’ they will receive half of their normal weekly pay each week. 5.2.9. Annual leave at half pay can be taken at a time that is mutually agreed upon by the Company and the team member. 5.2.10. Public holidays that fall during a period of annual leave at half pay will be processed at the standard public holiday rate.
