Anti-Bullying Policy. (a) As an elected official, manager, or employee of Haisla Nation Council, you are expected to adhere to acceptable conduct at all times. According to traditional teachings, respecting the rights and feelings of others and refraining from any behaviour that might be harmful to your co-workers and others. (b) Haisla Nation Council strongly supports the rights of all people to work in an environment free from bullying. (c) Bullying is verbal or physical conduct that over a period of time, continuously and systematically: (1) Xxxxxxxxxxx, shows hostility, threatens and offends any co-workers and others; (2) Interferes with a co-worker’s performance; (3) Otherwise adversely affects a co-worker and others. Bullying conduct includes, but is not limited to: • Name calling • Humiliation • Spreading rumours • Gossiping • Public ridicule • Scapegoating and blaming • Hitting, kicking, punching • Taunting • Ostracizing • Sexualizing • Making racial or ethnic slurs • Treating people like they are invisible • Rude interruptions • Sarcastic jokes • Invading one’s personal territory • Giving limited information, then blaming • Cyber-bullying (bullying through email, internet, text messaging, internet websites, etc.) These guidelines are fundamental in nature and are matters of judgment and common sense. The organization prohibits bullying. Any violation of the organization’s anti-bullying policy should be reported immediately to either your human resource manager or supervisor. (4) An employee who wishes to pursue a concern arising from alleged bullying may submit a complaint in writing, within 30 days of the latest alleged occurrence, through the Union or directly to the Employer or their designate (the "Employer"). Complaints of this nature shall be treated in strict confidence by the employees involved, the Union and the Employer. (i) Immediate defusing, debriefing where deemed appropriate will be made available to employees, by qualified practitioners, at no cost to the affected employees through the Health Care Centre. (ii) The parties will make every reasonable effort to find a remedy. Once the remedy is agreed, it will be implemented within 15 days. (iii) An employee in need of assistance may call WorkSafeBC Critical Incident Response pager. Anti-Bullying Policy. The Xxxxxxx School District has an obligation and a commitment to provide a safe learning environment for each of its students. Student achievement is best attained in an atmosphere that is free from the fear of emotional and physical intimidations and threats. Bullying is a destructive behavior that will erode the foundational principles on which a school is built. This school will not tolerate any behavior that is classified under the definition of bullying and will take steps needed to eliminate such behavior. Believing that prevention is the strongest means available in eliminating bullying, this school will offer programs and/or educational materials regarding the nature of bullying and its consequences should a child choose to engage in this type of behavior. The programs and/or materials will emphasize that this district will not tolerate bullying, and that school employees, volunteers, and students are encouraged to report any instance of bullying without fear of consequences. Any report will take into account the age of the offending student, the level of seriousness of the behavior, and whether or not the offending student has developed a habit of engaging in bullying. After completing an investigation of the reported incident, a student who has been found guilty of participating in bullying behavior will be subject to disciplinary action that is appropriate to the degree of seriousness of the bullying behavior. For the purposes of this policy, bullying is defined as any expression (written or verbal) , physical act (gesture, contact, staring, etc.) or a pattern there of, that is intended to cause distress or fear upon one or more students. A student will be found violating this policy if his conduct has been found to have the effect of humiliation, embarrassment, or other detrimental results on a fellow student, and is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that it limits the student’s ability to participate in or benefit from an educational program or activity. Students who believe they have been victimized by a bully or parents who believe their child has been victimized by a bully, are encouraged to file a complaint by contacting a school counselor, teacher, or administrator who will assist them in getting help for the child and take appropriate steps to ensure that such behavior is stopped. Anti-Bullying Policy a. The USA Swimming code of conduct prohibits bullying. Generally, bullying is the use of aggression, whether intentional or not, which hurts another person. Bullying results in pain and distress. b. The reporting procedure for a swimmer who feels they have been bullied is asked to do one or more of the following steps: i. Talk to your parents; ii. Talk to a club coach, board member, or other designated aquatics staff individual; iii. Write a letter or email to the club coach, board member, etc. c. The Club coaches and Aquatics Staff witness bullying during team-related activities, we will stop bullying on the spot. d. The Plantation Swim Team will work with families to first find out what happened and supporting the kids involved. Parents can find events, practice schedules and meet information on our website. 2) Swimmers and Families wishing to participate in swim meets must sign up online through our Team Unify website. Information on how to sign up for meets can be found online or by speaking with coaches. Swimmers will not be put into meets unless they are signed up online. 3) Meets are determined for each group and we suggest swimmers participation. Swim meets are a great way to see the techniques advances that the swimmers have been achieving at swim practice. 4) Volunteer Participation is such an important part of our team. We host three large meets a year. The Booster club needs parent and swimmer participation to make the meets run smoothly. Meets are our team fundraiser, and parents and swimmers from every group are needed.

Anti-Bullying Policy. ABM shall comply with all applicable provisions of the Anti- Bullying Bill of Rights Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:37-13.1 et seq., and the anti-bullying policy of the Board. ABM and its employees shall verbally report any act of harassment, intimidation or bullying of a student of the District on the same day on which the act was witnessed, or on the same day on which reliable information that a student has been subject to harassment, intimidation or bullying was received, and shall report the same in writing, within two (2) school days.
