Association President’s Release Time. The College shall provide at no cost to the Association, three (3) contact hours of paid release time or overload during the Academic Year.
Association President’s Release Time. The Association president shall be released 300 minutes per week in addition to the regular preparation period at the expense of the Board. Said release time shall be the last class period of the day unless changed by mutual agreement. In addition, the Association president may be released from teaching duties at any time upon the approval of the superintendent or designee. It is expected that this time will be used to benefit both the Association and the Board of Education by improving personnel relations.
Association President’s Release Time. The Association President or his/her designee shall be released no less than one-fifth (1/5) of his/her total contract hours per year for Association business and to collaborate with District administration. Such release time shall be in addition to those days authorized by Idaho Code. The District shall absorb any costs associated with the President’s release time. Prior to the first day of school each fall the Association President and District Administration shall meet to establish a schedule for President’s release time for that school year.

For the purpose of mutually assisting in the continuing implementation of this Agreement and upon the request of the Association, the Superintendent may approve reasonable release time for the Association President without any cost to the Association or reduction in the Association leave provided under Article II, Section 2.4 above, provided that the frequency of the excused release time does not impair the quality of classroom instruction. In addition, the Association President will not be required to sit on Building Committees, unless mutually agreed upon.

If the Association requests less than half-time release, the District and the Association shall confer to determine if the District can or cannot accommodate the request. The Association shall provide written notice to the District by June 1 of each year regarding how much release time is to be applied. The release time shall be without loss of salary, accrual of seniority, salary advancement, or other rights accorded full-time employees, subject to the Association reimbursing the District the percentage of FTE for release time times the total cost of the President’s salary and benefits. Reimbursement shall include such costs as salary, social security, industrial insurance, pension, health and welfare, and other related employer payroll items. Such reimbursement shall be paid quarterly upon receipt of a billing by the District. Upon completion of the school year for which released time is taken, the Association President shall be guaranteed his/her original position for the following school year, or a comparable position. The Association President may elect on occasion to serve as a substitute within the District and shall be paid at his/her per diem rate of pay. Such compensation shall be deducted from the release time reimbursement cost to be billed to the Association.

11.2.2 The Association President shall receive compensation and benefits as though he/she were a regular full-time employee of the District.

12.2.4 The Association shall reimburse the District for all salary and benefit costs in an amount equal to the rate of the lowest paid temporary employee in the District as of the first day of school annually.
12.2.5 The Association President shall have the right to return to any vacant position that is available and for which the employee is credentialed. Every effort shall be made to place the employee into the same or similar position that the employee held prior to the leave.
12.2.6 Other provisions of the Association leave included in this Agreement are not affected by this leave.
Association President’s Release Time. (1) The release time shall be one (1) hour per day or its equivalent in addition to the times prior to and after student attendance. The BHEA President shall be released without loss of pay or other benefits. A BHEA President from the secondary level (7-12) may leave his/her assigned building during his/her conference or planning period which shall be scheduled for either the first or last period of each day. A XXXX President from the elementary level (K-6) shall be released from his/her designated building two (2) half- days per week on a consistent and uniform basis. A BHEA President from other areas of the bargaining unit shall be provided two (2) half-days release time per week.
(2) The BHEA agrees to reimburse the Board for costs listed below, incurred for substitutes when the President is from the elementary (K-6) level. Such reimbursement shall be for one-half (1/2) the daily substitute rate. Should an individual substitute exceed sixty (60) one-half (1/2) days substitution for the BHEA President, the XXXX agrees to assume the additional cost of contractually provided health insurance. The BHEA and the Board agree to share proportionately, based upon substitution time for the parties, any incurred costs of unemployment compensation. The BHEA financial obligation to the Board for the President’s release time shall be limited to regular elementary (K-6) classroom teachers.
(3) The Board reserves the right to select the substitute and to require continuity of service from that substitute when the XXXX President is from the elementary (K-6) level. In no case shall the selection process or continuity waive the right to the specified release time.
(4) The Association President granted release time in accordance with this Section shall reimburse the Xxxxxx Harbor Area Schools for any monies placed into said employees’ retirement fund for time release per this Section as permitted under Public Act No. 197 of 1982, as amended.
