DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES. 26.01 In accordance with applicable federal and state law, both the City and Employee Organization agree that they will not discriminate on the basis of race, age, national origin, religion, color, creed, sex, or disability, or Union membership or non-membership. The City and Employee Organization affirm their joint opposition to any discriminatory practices in connection with employment, promotion, or training; remembering that the public interest remains the full utilization of employees’ skill and ability without regard to consideration of race color, creed, national origin, sex, religion, age, or disability.
DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES. 2:01 The parties to this Agreement recognize that the objects and purposes of the University are the advancement of learning, the discovery, preservation and dissemination of knowledge, the creation of artistic and literary works, presentation of artistic performances and the intellectual, spiritual, moral, social and physical development of its members, including students, faculty members, librarians and staff, and the betterment of society. The parties recognize further their mutual responsibility to enhance the activities of and the academic reputation of the University by providing students with a learning and educational environment commensurate with the highest possible academic standards and by providing members of the bargaining unit with an appropriate atmosphere in which to pursue their academic and professional objectives, and by promoting and maintaining harmonious relations among and between the University, students, staff and members of the bargaining unit, and by providing amicable and cooperative means for settling differences which may arise from time to time between the parties. The parties also acknowledge the right of each other and their representatives and member(s) along with students and staff to be treated with dignity and respect in the performance of their duties and to work in an environment free of harassment by anyone.

DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES. 2 The parties to this Agreement agree to treat each other with mutual respect 3 and trust. 5 The parties agree that employee participation in the formulation and 6 implementation of personnel policies affecting said employees contributes 7 positively to the effective conduct of school business. 9 The parties agree to share any and all information relating to personnel policies 10 so the parties can make well informed decisions: (except information deemed 11 confidential). 13 The parties acknowledge that problems will arise from time to time and agree 14 that an open problem-solving process best serves the needs of the District, 15 Association and students. 17 The parties recognize the rights and responsibilities conferred on each other by 18 the Public Employee's Collective Bargaining Act and agree to promote and 19 improve the efficient administration of the District and the well-being of 20 employees within the spirit of the Act.
DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES. 3 1. The efficient administration of the system of public instruction and well-being of employees 4 requires that orderly and constructive relationships be maintained between the parties hereto.
6 2. Subject to law and the paramount consideration of service to the public, employee-management 7 relations should be improved by providing employees an opportunity for greater participation in 8 the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures affecting the conditions of their 9 employment.
11 3. Effective employee-management cooperation requires a clear statement of the respective rights and 12 obligations of the parties hereto.
14 4. It is the intent and purpose of the parties hereto to promote and improve the efficient administration 15 of the District and the well-being of employees within the spirit of the Public Employees Collective 16 Bargaining Act, to establish a basic understanding relative to personnel policies, practices and 17 procedures, and to provide means for amicable discussion and adjustment of matters of mutual 18 interest.
DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES. A) To provide opportunities for continued employment, the Company must be in a strong market position that will enable it to provide services cost effectively and competitively.
B) There shall be no restriction of the use of machinery, tools or appliances, as long as the technician is trained to use the machinery, tool or appliance.
C) There shall be no restriction of the use of any raw or manufactured material, as long as the purchase of material is approved by a supervisor.
D) No person representing the Union, except its Business Representative, shall have the right to interview the workmen during business hours, and no such interview shall take place during working time. The Business Representative shall comply with all general conditions of the Employer regarding passes, entrance to be used, etc., and shall only appear at the Employer’s facilities if he arranges such meeting in advance with the Company, and no person representing the Union shall interview any employee at the facility of any customer of the Company, or on any service call during working hours.
DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES. The following underlying principles shall apply to all relations under this Agreement:
(1) No limitations shall be imposed upon the amount of work an Employee shall perform during his working day.
(2) No restrictions shall be imposed upon the use of machinery, tools, or appliances except as may be hereinafter provided for in the Working Rules.
(3) No restrictions shall be imposed upon the use of any raw or manufactured materials, except that prison-made materials or products shall not be used.
(4) Employees shall be free to work for whomsoever they wish and shall be entitled to demand and receive the wages and all other benefits provided for by the terms of this Agreement.
(5) The use of Apprentice shall be recognized and not prohibited.
(6) The Xxxxxxx shall be selected by and recognized as the agent of the Employer, and when two (2) or more Journeyman Cement Masons or Apprentices are employed on the jobsite by any one (1) employer, one (1) shall be a Xxxxxxx. When six (6) or more Cement Masons are employed on the jobsite, the Xxxxxxx shall be designated as General Xxxxxxx. When there is a General Xxxxxxx on the jobsite, there shall be no Xxxxxxx.
(7) It is the intent and purpose of this Agreement to prevent slowdowns, forcing of overtime, spread-work tactics, standby crews, and featherbedding practices.
(8) Any authorized Business Representative of Local Xxxxx #000, Xxxx #000, shall have access to all jobs where Cement Masons are employed without work stoppage.
(9) One owner may work with the tools providing there is at least one journeyman cement xxxxx on the job.
(10) There shall be no non-working xxxxxxx. Any xxxxxxx shall be a qualified employee performing work as assigned, who shall not interfere with the prosecution of the work and shall restrict working time activities to that of the xxxxxxx’x respective employer. The xxxxxxx shall be permitted reasonable time to perform normal union duties. The xxxxxxx shall perform no supervisory function and shall account for all time away from the work crew to his immediate Xxxxxxx. A xxxxxxx’x duties do not include referral, hiring, termination of employees or caring for the injured. In no case shall the xxxxxxx be discharged until the Business Agent has been consulted. Xxxxxxx shall be appointed by the Business Agent.
(11) The Employer shall be the sole judge as to the number of Employees required to perform the work other than may be required by safety regulations.
