DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE a. A full-time or part-time team member will be allowed paid time off of up to a maximum of 2 weeks per calendar year to attend Defence Forces approved training camps, and Woolworths will pay the team member the difference between the payment received for their attendance at such training camp and the base rate of pay they would have received during that period.
b. To receive payment, a team member must provide ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ proof of attendance and proof of the Defence Forces rate of pay and total payment received for the time spent in training.
c. Team members seeking to take Defence Forces Leave must provide notice to Woolworths at least 1 month prior to the period of training. The notice should detail the start and finish dates for training.
d. Casual team members are entitled to unpaid defence forces leave.
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. This clause will be in substitution for clause 25 of the Conditions Award.
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. 40.1 A full-time or part-time employee shall be allowed leave of up to two weeks maximum per calendar year to attend Defence Forces approved training camps.
40.2 During such leave full-time and part-time employees who are required to attend full-time training shall be paid an amount equal to the difference between the payment received in respect of their attendance at camp and the amount of minimum weekly wages they would have received for working ordinary time during that period.
40.3 To receive payment, an employee shall provide the Employer proof of attendance and proof of the Defence Forces rate of pay and total payment received for the time spent training.
40.4 Employees seeking to take Defence Force Leave must provide notice to the Employer at least one month prior to the period of training. The notice should detail the start and finish dates for training.
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. An employee may apply for leave to attend training with the Australian Defence Force and may be granted up to 2 weeks paid leave (at the employee’s base rate excluding overtime, shift and other allowances) for this purpose, providing that:
(a) the employee makes available satisfactory evidence of having completed at least the equivalent amount of defence force training in his/her own time in the preceding 12 months; and,
(b) the employee provides satisfactory evidence of having attended the training for the approved period of leave.
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. (a) Service with the Defence Reserve is regulated by the Commonwealth Defence Reserve Service (Protection) ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ as amended from time to time. Employees volunteering to perform defence reserve service provide a valuable contribution to the Australian community recognised by the parties to this agreement.
(b) Where a Specialist is required to provide ordinary reserve service, such as attending an annual training camp or meeting other reservist training requirements; or where the Australian Defence Force requests the voluntary services of a Specialist reservist; or where a Specialist reservist volunteers to provide defence services without an Australian Defence Force request for their service, the Specialist may be granted such leave with pay:
(i) for its duration where the requirement does not exceed 14 days; or
(ii) for its duration in excess of 14 days up to a maximum of 78 weeks continuous service where the Commanding Officer of the relevant service certifies such service and where the Specialist support an application under the Commonwealth Health Service Support Payment Scheme.
(c) The Health Service will not ordinarily withhold approval for requests under clause
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. 43.4.1 An employee who is a voluntary member of the Australian defence reserves, may be granted up to 2 weeks of leave per calendar year, paid at their Ordinary Salary, for the purpose of attending annual defence reserve training. Such an Employee is also entitled to a further 4 days of paid leave per calendar year for the same purpose, on the certification of the commanding officer of the particular service unit concerned.
43.4.2 Applications for paid defence reserve leave must be submitted for approval to the University along with documentation from the relevant defence reserve evidencing the employee’s attendance at the annual training.
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. As part of Council’s commitment to the local community, an employee who is a volunteer member of Reservist force of the Royal Australian Army, Navy or Air Force. Will be entitled leave to enable the employee to fulfil an obligation to the relevant organisation (attend requisite training camps or courses) and in the event of an emergency.
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. A full-time or part-time team member shall be allowed leave of up to two (2) weeks per year and additional weekends as required to attend Defence Force Reserve approved training camps.
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. 6.8.1 If a full-time/part-time or salaried Employee is a member of the Australian Defence Force (Reserves) that Employee will be entitled up to 4 weeks (152 Hours) leave per calendar year to attend approved training camps. The Resort will reimburse an Employee on Defence Force Leave an amount equal to the difference between the amount the Employee would have received had the Employee not been on Defence Force Leave (called “the difference”).
6.8.2 The Employee must give the Resort at least 4 weeks written notice of their attendance at an approved training camp. The Resort will require that the Employee provide proof of their actual attendance, the duration of such attendance, a statement of earnings and full payment from the Defence Force.
DEFENCE FORCES LEAVE. 24.1 What is the entitlement to defence forces leave?
(a) Permanent team members shall be allowed leave of up to a maximum of two weeks per calendar year to attend Defence Forces Reserve approved training camps.
(b) During such leave, permanent team members who are required to attend full-time training shall be paid an amount equal to the difference between the payment received in respect of their attendance at camp and the total amount for the ordinary hours of work that the team member would have received during that period.
24.2 What notice and evidence is required to take defence forces leave?
(a) Team members seeking to take defence forces leave must apply for leave with at least one month’s written notice prior to the period of training. The notice must detail the start and finish dates of the training.
(b) To receive payment for defence forces leave, the team member must provide the Company with proof of attendance and proof of the Defence Forces Reserve rate of pay and total payment received for time spent in training.
