DEFENCE FORCE LEAVE a) On production of evidence of attendance leave of absence with pay may be granted for 72 hours in any year to any employees who are voluntary members of the Defense Reserve Schemes. b) Employees may elect to be granted any annual leave due to them in lieu of an equivalent period of leave granted in the above clause. c) Application for leave shall be submitted for approval through normal channels and satisfactory evidence of attendance at the annual training camp, etc, shall be forwarded on resumption of duty. d) Leave granted under this clause shall be included as service for the purpose of annual, sick and long service leave. e) If they receive compensation and the amount is less than the amount of pay which they would have received had they been granted personal leave, they may be paid an amount equal to the difference and their personal leave credit will be reduced by the amount of such payment this is at the discretion of the Employer.
DEFENCE FORCE LEAVE. 48.1 Leave of absence on full pay for a period not exceeding ten (10) working days in any calendar year may be granted to an employee who is a volunteer part-time member of the Defence Force. Such leave may be granted for the purpose of deployment, attending a training camp, drill parade, school, class or course of instruction. 48.2 Additional ‘top up’ paid leave, equal to the difference between the employee’s defence force income and their University salary, will be provided for a period of twelve (12) weeks where the University is in receipt of the Federal Government’s Employer Support Scheme for Defence Reservists.
DEFENCE FORCE LEAVE. 39.1 A team member will be allowed leave of up to a maximum of 2 weeks per calendar year to attend Defence Forces Reserve approved training camps. 39.2 During such leave, team members who are required to attend full- time training will be paid an amount equal to the difference between the payment received in respect of their attendance at camp and the amount of ordinary time earnings they would have received for working ordinary time during that period. 39.3 To receive payment, a team member will provide The Reject Shop proof of attendance and proof of Defence Force Reserve rates of pay and total payment received for the time spent in training. 39.4 Team members seeking to take Defence Force Services Leave must provide notice to The Reject Shop at least one month prior to the period of training. The notice should detail the start and finish dates for training.
DEFENCE FORCE LEAVE. 40.1 An Employee who is a part-time member of any of Australia's Defence Forces may be granted leave of absence for one period of not more than ten (10) working days in any leave year for the purpose of enabling that Employee to attend any training camps at which that Employee's compulsory attendance, in that Employee's capacity as a part-time member of the Defence Force is required. 40.2 A certificate evidencing the necessity of that Employee's attendance or, as the case may be, that Employee's eligibility to attend, shall be submitted with an application for leave, and, at the conclusion of the period of leave, that Employee shall produce a certificate of attendance, and in each instance, both certificates shall be signed by or on behalf of the person holding office as, or acting in the place of, the commanding officer in Tasmania of the relevant Defence Force. 40.3 If the remuneration received by an Employee who proceeds on Defence Force Leave is less than an Employee's normal salary that he/she would have received had the Employee been at work during the same period, then the difference shall be paid by the Employer.

Leave of absence with pay may be granted for fourteen days in any year to any employee who is a voluntary member of the Reserve Forces for the purpose of attending an annual training camp, and a further four days a year for the same purpose on the certification of the Commanding Officer of the particular service unit concerned that such additional days are required. 63.2. Where additional days are required for the purpose of service or travelling, requests for additional time off work shall be granted.

(b) The Employee will consult with the Employer regarding the proposed timing of the service and will give the Employer as much notice as is possible of the time when the service will take place. (c) Where the base salary excluding allowances received by the Employee from the Australian Defence Force or Defence Reserve service during their ordinary hoursof work is below the Employee’s salary, the Employer will, unless exceptional circumstances arise, pay to the Employee make-up pay for the period of Defence Reserve service.
DEFENCE FORCE LEAVE. G4S shall subject to operational and staffing demands grant an employee who is a member of the Defence Force Reserve unpaid leave of up to two weeks per twelve month cycle calculated from the commencement of the taking of the first allocation of this leave to attend either training or camps organised by the arm of the Defence Force to which the employee is attached. Such Officer shall furnish proof of attendance at Reserve Force training if G4S so requests.

DEFENCE FORCE LEAVE. 67.1 Subject to this Clause, the Delegated Officer may grant an employee not more than four weeks paid leave each year to engage in or undertake training in the Australian Defence Forces. 67.2 The Delegated Officer shall not grant leave under this Clause unless the employee produces to the satisfaction of the Delegated Officer, advice of the requirement for his or her attendance and the dates of the attendance. 67.3 The whole of the period of leave under this Clause shall count as service for all purposes.
