EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMITTEE. For the duration of this Collective Agreement (Date of Ratification to March 31, 2014), the Education and Training Committee, as described in Article 10.2, shall be incorporated into the Management Union Cooperative Committee (MUCC) meeting as described in Article 10.01, as a standing agenda item. Within the first six (6) months after ratification, the Education and Training Terms of Reference will be reviewed and modified as required. EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMITTEE. A committee not to exceed four (4) members comprised of an equal number of representatives appointed by the Employer and the Union, shall meet at mutually convenient times and places to consider and discuss procedures for the education, training and advancement of employees. Such committee may also be the Health and Safety Committee. The committee shall be advisory.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMITTEE. Section 22.01 The Employer is committed to assisting staff as they continue their education to advance their career and to develop their skills. Staff education and training is a topic for the Labor Management Committee to discuss how the Employer can assist employees with training to enhance their careers. Recommendations from the Labor Management Committee shall be considered and, when appropriate under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), negotiated by the Union and Employer.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING COMMITTEE. The Company and the Union agree to the establishment of a “Joint Education and Training Committeeto develop education and training initiatives that are determined by the Company to be necessary for future business needs and to provide opportunities for Employees to gain additional employment skills. Toward that end, the Joint Education and Training Committee shall be established and shall consist of three (3) representatives appointed by the Union and three (3) representatives of management. This Committee shall meet primarily for the purpose of fostering and promoting the advancement of effective education and training programs. It is understood and agreed that the committee shall not have the right to alter, vary or modify provisions of this Agreement. It is further understood that the establishment and function of the committee provided herein shall in no way alter, vary or modify the right of any Employee, the Union or the Company to pursue any matter through the grievance and arbitration provisions of this Agreement. Activities of the Employee-members of the education and training committee shall not interfere with the proper performance of the Employee’s work.

This Committee will develop recommendations to provide advancement opportunities and job security for OPEIU bargaining unit employees. Recommendations from this Committee shall be considered and when appropriate under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), and negotiated by the Union and Employer. Such negotiations shall be completed by January 1, 2010. June 1, 2013. The Education and Training Committee shall establish a mutually agreeable meeting schedule. Committee members shall suffer no loss of pay when they attend Education and Training Committee meetings while on duty status. Issues for the Education and Training Committee to consider address shall include:  Standardized training for each OPEIU job classification  Identify GHC positions that provide promotional opportunities  The feasibility of job shadowing in another work unit or department in the same job classification that an employee meets at least minimum job qualifications  The feasibility of peer coaching  Ways Expectations for timely review and understanding of update  The feasibility of PAR exchange  How to train incumbent Development of regular bargaining unit employees to qualify for different positions instead of temporary employees new Section 22.2 – To Read: Effective January 1, 2013, increase the tuition reimbursement for each OPEIU regular employee with at least a .5 FTE from up to $300 (pro-rated for part-time) to up to $500, pro- rated for part-time employees, per calendar year, with eligibility according to GHC policy.

  • Medical Director The Contractor shall employ the services of a Medical Director who is a licensed Indiana Health Care Provider (IHCP) provider board certified in family medicine or internal medicine. If the Medical Director is not board certified in family medicine, they shall be supported by a clinical team with experience in pediatrics, behavioral health, adult medicine and obstetrics/gynecology. The Medical Director shall be dedicated full-time to the Contractor’s Indiana Medicaid product lines. The Medical Director shall oversee the development and implementation of the Contractor’s disease management, case management and care management programs; oversee the development of the Contractor’s clinical practice guidelines; review any potential quality of care problems; oversee the Contractor’s clinical management program and programs that address special needs populations; oversee health screenings; serve as the Contractor’s medical professional interface with the Contractor’s primary medical providers (PMPs) and specialty providers; and direct the Quality Management and Utilization Management programs, including, but not limited to, monitoring, corrective actions and other quality management, utilization management or program integrity activities. The Medical Director, in close coordination with other key staff, is responsible for ensuring that the medical management and quality management components of the Contractor’s operations are in compliance with the terms of the Contract. The Medical Director shall work closely with the Pharmacy Director to ensure compliance with pharmacy-related responsibilities set forth in Section 3.4. The Medical Director shall attend all OMPP quality meetings, including the Quality Strategy Committee meetings. If the Medical Director is unable to attend an OMPP quality meeting, the Medical Director shall designate a representative to take his or her place. Notwithstanding the Medical Director ‘s sending of a representative, the Medical Director shall be responsible for knowing and taking appropriate action on all agenda and action items from all OMPP quality meetings.
