Horizontal Movement on Salary Schedule. Horizontal movement on the salary schedule shall be made following compliance with all of the provisions of Section 15.2 of this Agreement and presentation of an official transcript showing satisfactory completion, provided adjustment of salary in any school term shall require an official transcript showing satisfactory completion to be filed with the Superintendent or designee no later than September 30 in the first semester and February 28 in the second semester.

Horizontal Movement on Salary Schedule. The Board will continue its practice under Ohio Revised Code Section 3317.14 of moving a teacher horizontally on the teachers' salary schedule to a higher-rated column, effective with the September 20th pay and thereafter, if satisfactory evidence of completed coursework that justifies the teacher's move to the higher bracket is received by the District Treasurer by the immediately preceding September 15. In addition, the Board will move a teacher horizontally to a higher-rated column, effective with the January 20th pay and thereafter, if satisfactory evidence of completed coursework that justifies the teacher's move to the higher bracket is received by the District Treasurer after the immediately preceding September 15 but on or before January 15.

Teachers must receive the prior approval of the Superintendent in order to receive credit for horizontal movement on the salary schedule for all undergraduate level courses, unless such courses are either requested by the District or are used as part of the credits to earn a Master's Degree. Requests for the Superintendent's prior approval for undergraduate courses described above shall be made in writing, no less than thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of the course. Undergraduate course work taken prior to the award of a Master's Degree cannot be used for horizontal movement beyond the Master's Lane. Any dispute over the classification of a course as graduate or undergraduate shall be resolved by the institution granting the credit. Official transcripts must be received by the business office no later than October 1 for the applied lane movement at the beginning of a given year. A teacher shall not be granted credit for horizontal movement on the salary schedule for duplicating course work previously taken by that teacher.
Horizontal Movement on Salary Schedule. To move horizontally on the schedule, all course work for which credit is earned must be at the undergraduate or graduate level in an accredited institution and must bear some direct relationship to the field of teaching: Special Education or Educational Administration or to some aspect to the employee’s job assignment (curricular or extracurricular). Employees may be required to provide adequate rationale for the inclusion of course work for credit to the Director. Requests for the granting of any exceptions to the above criteria shall be made to the Director prior to enrollment in applicable courses, or within two (2) weeks of enrollment. Employees must present to the Personnel Office prior to any change being made in salary placement, official transcripts for course work for which salary schedule advancement is desired. In order to receive a salary adjustment for completed course work for the first semester of a school year, the employee shall submit official transcripts and evidence of prior approval to the Personnel Office not later than September 30 along with a request for the adjustment. In order to receive a salary adjustment for completed course work at the mid-point of a school year, the employee shall submit official transcripts and evidence of prior approval to the Business Office not later than January 25 along with a request for the adjustment. The Personnel Office shall process the same and make the applicable salary adjustment no later than the second pay period following the mandatory submission date. The salary adjustment shall be made retroactive to the beginning of the school year for adjustment requests submitted by September 30 or retroactive to the midpoint of the school year for adjustment requests submitted by January 25. The final and non-reviewable decision to approve course work for horizontal salary schedule movement shall rest solely with the Board upon the approval of the Director.
Horizontal Movement on Salary Schedule. Notification of earned credits must be filed with the Superintendent or designee prior to the commencement of the school term in order to qualify for horizontal movement on the salary schedule. Horizontal Movement on Salary Schedule. Section 1. Teachers with Standard Teaching License: Subd. 1. Advancement to each lane on either the Bachelor's Degree, Fifth Year Program, or Master's Degree will only be approved if the teacher is teaching in the field or related field for which the credits were earned. Graduate credits received as part of the teacher’s initial licensure requirements will not be considered for lane movement. College and/or internal credits earned prior to a Master’s Degree being granted must be used for lane advancement prior to the Master’s Degree as they are not applicable after the Master Degree has been earned. Credits earned after a Master’s Degree has been granted may be used for a future lane change.
Horizontal Movement on Salary Schedule. A. For budgeting purposes, teachers must submit, in writing a statement of their intention to advance on the Salary Schedule by February 1 of the year preceding the September or February that advancement will occur.

  • Placement on Salary Schedule The following rules shall be applicable in determining placement of a teacher on the appropriate salary schedule:

  • Advancement on Salary Schedule A worker will advance to the next step of the salary schedule on the first of the calendar month following the completion of the first six months of service, provided that he/she has received from the supervising manager a “good solid performance” rating. If the worker's supervising manager has not completed the evaluation and given a copy to the worker by the date when the worker is scheduled to receive the step increase, the increase shall be granted automatically. A classified hourly employee will advance to the second step of the salary schedule on the first of the calendar month following the completion of one year of service provided that he/she has received from the supervising manager a “good solid performance” rating. If the employee’s supervising manager has not completed the evaluation and given a copy to the employee by the date when the employee is scheduled to receive the step increase, the increase shall be granted automatically. A worker's first month of service will be the month during which he/she begins work providing he/she renders service before the 11th of the month. In all other cases, the worker's first month of service will be the calendar month following the date on which he/she begins work. A worker will advance to subsequent steps as he/she completes an additional year of service with a satisfactory rating on the annual evaluation. A classified hourly employee will advance to subsequent steps as he/she completes an additional two years of service with a satisfactory rating on the bi-annual evaluation. A year for 12-month workers is 12 months; for 11-month workers, 11 months; for 10-month workers, 10 months; for academic- day workers, the academic year. However, if the worker's supervising manager does not complete the annual evaluation and give a copy to the worker by the date the worker is scheduled to receive the step increase, the increase shall be granted automatically. A worker's anniversary date for salary increments shall be the anniversary of his/her first month of service after completing six months in a class. The anniversary date for a classified hourly employee shall be the date of hire in the classified hourly position. Any month during the worker's work year during which he/she is not in paid status will not count toward the anniversary date and will advance it by one month. A worker who demonstrates exceptional ability and diligence as a worker of the District may be given double advancement on recommendation of the supervising manager and with approval of the Director of Human Resources, the President, or the Chancellor.

  • Salary Schedule The salaries of Employees covered by this Agreement are set forth in the salary schedule in Appendix B which is attached to and incorporated into this Agreement.

  • Placement on the Salary Schedule All teachers shall be placed on the appropriate step in the salary schedule taking into consideration the following:

  • SUPPLEMENTAL SALARY SCHEDULE 12.01 Every effort shall be made by the Board to post supplemental positions in a timely manner each school year. Teachers in the bargaining unit may apply for the supplemental vacancy within ten (10) working days of each posting. If no qualified bargaining unit member applies for the supplemental position, the Board may fill the vacancy with individuals not in the bargaining unit.

  • Salary Schedule Progression Employees shall progress from step to step in salary grade on the basis of satisfactory job performance based upon established standards of performance. Seasonal employee's initial anniversary date shall be established after being in pay status for two thousand eighty (2,080) hours. Such date shall then be used for annual performance evaluation and step progression consideration. When an employee's anniversary date falls on any day from the first day of a pay week through Wednesday of the pay week, the employee's merit increase shall be effective as of the first day of the pay week within which the anniversary date falls. Otherwise, the merit increase shall be effective on the first day of the next pay week. Grievances arising from the denial of merit increases shall not be arbitrable under this Agreement but shall be processed as follows:

  • Salary Schedules (a) The salary schedules shall be incorporated into this Agreement as Appendix V.

  • Status of Salary Schedule The salary schedules are not to be construed as part of a teacher’s continuing contract. In the event a successor Agreement is not entered into prior to the expiration date of this Agreement, a teacher shall be compensated according to the previous year’s compensation until such time that a successor Agreement is executed.
