Jury or Witness Service. Each employee who is called to serve as a juror or, except as provided in clause 16.16, is subpoenaed as a witness in a legal proceeding shall:
Jury or Witness Service. In the event an Employee is unable to meet employment obligations because of jury duty or witness service in response to a subpoena, the Employee shall be granted time off with pay. Such an absence shall be without loss of compensation. In this connection, the Employee shall provide the University with written verification from the Court Clerk of the times and dates of the required service.
Jury or Witness Service. An employee shall be excused from work for jury service or if the member is subpoenaed as a witness by anyone empowered by law to compel attendance by subpoena. The employee shall notify Human Resources with a copy of the jury summons or subpoena as soon after receipt as possible, and request for leave shall be made on the proper form. The employee will report for available work when released from jury service or witness service unless the number of hours which they spend on jury or witness duty during that day exceeds the number of hours normally worked by the employee during a day or would require them to work beyond their normal quitting time. Such employee shall be paid the difference between the employee’s regular pay and the fee the member employee receives for acting as a juror or witness. Such leave shall not be deducted from any other leave provided in this Agreement.

a. Definition: The term "State Courts" shall include Justice Courts, Municipal Courts, and the Superior Courts.
b. A Bargaining Unit Member who is subpoenaed to serve on jury duty may be granted a leave of absence to do so.

Jury or Witness Service. Employees will be excused with pay for scheduled straight time lost on account of jury or witness service, with deduction for any amount received from governmental authorities. This shall not include witness duty where the employee is a party to the litigation. However, it is understood that the prosecuting witness (victim) in a criminal proceeding is not a “party” for purposes of this Article.
Jury or Witness Service. Employees shall be granted a leave of absence with pay when they are required to report for jury duty or are subpoenaed as a witness for an Employer related matter subject to the following provisions:
A. A copy of the official “Court Notice” and must be submitted within 2 working days of receipt by the employee, if possible.
B. The employee may opt to keep the Court’s compensation for said service or remit same to the Employer, less any mileage or expense allowances, and thereby qualify for the straight-time hourly rate benefit herein.
C. The Employer’s payment is limited to a maximum of eight (8) hours to an employee scheduled to work on the date(s) jury service is required. The employee must report for work immediately following jury service.
D. The Employer may require “proof of service” rendered from the Court. Employees responding to a subpoena arising directly from his/her employment with Light and Power shall be entitled to the same benefits as though they were on jury duty.
E. An employee shall return to regularly scheduled employment with the Employer when temporarily excused from attendance at court, provided that there is at least 2 hours remaining of scheduled work if reporting to a state court and at least 4 hours remaining of scheduled work if reporting to a Federal court.
Jury or Witness Service. A. A graduate student employee may take time off to serve on jury duty. Subpoenas or other documentation regarding the jury duty must be presented to graduate student employee’s supervisors as soon as received. A graduate student employee serving jury duty will receive regular pay and benefits for the duration of the services. It is expected that a graduate student employee will come to work when jury duty does not last an entire work day. Graduate student employees keep any pay received from jury duty in addition to receiving their regular pay from Xxxxx.
Jury or Witness Service. An employee who is called for jury service, or subpoenaed as a witness, or is named party in a civil action related to the employee’s performance of his/her job duties, shall be granted leave of absence with pay upon presentation of evidence satisfactory to the employer relating to jury or witness service. The City shall pay the employee such sum as when added to the amount received by the employee as compensation for such sum as when added to the amount of the employee’s regular salary for that workweek. Service as referenced herein shall include required reporting for jury or witness duty when subpoenaed whether or not he/she actually testifies or is selected as a juror. In the event an employee is subpoenaed as a witness in a case where the employee is to testify on matters which occurred during the course of employment, and such subpoena requires his attendance outside of his regular working hours, he shall be compensated for all hours of required service with either one hour of
