Labour Management Meeting. 27.01 Upon request, a joint labour-management meeting will be held for the purpose of discussing matters of concern to either party, at a mutually agreed upon time.
Labour Management Meeting. The parties agree that either party may request, in writing at least fifteen (15) calendar days in advance, a quarterly Labour/Management meeting to be scheduled. The party requesting the meeting shall provide in writing to the other party: tentative date/time, an agenda of issues to be discussed. The Union will also advise the Director Human Resources of the Departmental Shop Xxxxxxx who will be attending, prior to the new weekly work schedule being posted, so that arrangements may be made with the Department Head. It is agreed that Departmental Shop Stewards attending such meeting will do so without loss of regular basic pay.
Labour Management Meeting. No employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Employer without the proper authorization of the Union. To implement this, the Union shall supply the Employer with the names of its officers and, similarly, the Employer shall supply the Union with a list of its supervisory or other personnel with whom the Union may be required to transact business. Lists will be maintained with updates as necessary.
(a) The Employer and the Union agree to establish a labour management committee comprised of up to five employers and up to five union representatives, one of which may be a staff representative. The Committee may call upon additional persons for technical information, communications or advice. The Committee shall meet at the request of either party, but not more than once per month, or less than once every two months, at a place and time to be mutually agreed.
(b) The Committee meetings shall be co-chaired by one employer and one union representative. The purpose of the meetings shall be to exchange information of mutual interest, to review administrative matters arising from this agreement, and to maintain effective union/employer relations. Any discussions of grievances, as defined by this agreement, shall be strictly on a "without prejudice" basis.
(c) The meetings will normally be scheduled during regularly scheduled working hours of the union representatives. Attending employees shall be paid straight-time wages for all time spent in these meetings including time extended beyond the employee's scheduled shift.
(d) Minutes shall be recorded on an alternating basis between the parties. After final draft has been agreed to, the minutes will be posted on the respective bulletin boards.
Labour Management Meeting a. The parties agree to establish an active “joint labour- management committee”. At such meetings, the committee shall consist of one (1) management and one (1) Union delegate from each of the Homes, as well as a CLAC Representative and a representative of LifeTimes Living Inc.
b. On an as need basis, either stewards, or the Executive Director at a specific Home can request a “local labour- management” meeting to deal with matters specific to their facility. At such meetings, the committee shall consist of two (2) management representatives and two (2) union stewards. A CLAC Representative and a representative of LifeTimes Living Inc. may attend this meeting.
c. The joint or local committee shall keep minutes of its meetings and post them in the Home. A copy will be forwarded to the Union office and to the Employer’s head office.
d. The committee shall appoint from among itself a chairperson and a recording secretary with such positions rotating as agreed upon by the committee.
e. The dates of any labour-management meeting must be mutually agreed upon and management and the Union Representative will be notified of the date and they may be in attendance.
f. Employees serving on the joint committee shall be paid at their regular hourly rate for meeting time. Employees serving on the local committee shall be paid their regular hourly rate, for a maximum of one (1) hour per meeting.
g. The committee shall deal with all matters of mutual concern, however, the committee shall not deal with grievances or negotiations and it is not empowered to alter or amend any of the terms of this Collective Agreement or infringe its requirements.
h. Any employee or any non-bargaining unit person may refer matters to the committee for consideration. Such referrals shall be in writing to the chair of the committee fourteen (14) days in advance of the scheduled meeting
i. After having been dealt with by the committee, any unresolved issue(s) may be forwarded by a committee member to the Employer's head office. The Employer's representative(s) from its head office and a Union representative will convene a meeting with the committee to discuss the matter. Such a meeting shall take place within thirty (30) days of being referred to the Employer.
Labour Management Meeting. 17.01 The parties agree that regular meetings between Employer and Union representatives (including the Chief Xxxxxxx and Union Stewards) can be useful in anticipating and resolving issues. The parties agree to schedule meetings on a quarterly basis, which will take place if either party provides to the other a written agenda at least one (1) week in advance. Responsibility for chairing and taking minutes will alternate with each meeting. Union Stewards from the pertinent departments as reflected on the written agenda will be expected to attend, and will be released from work with no loss of compensation.
Labour Management Meeting. 12.01 A labour management meeting will be held every three (3) months and will consist of a maximum of two (2) stewards along with a full-time representative of the union and a maximum of two (2) representatives from the Town along with the Chief. The Labour Management Committee shall concern itself with matters of the following nature:
(a) Considering constructive criticisms so that proper relations may exist between the Town and the Union.
(b) Increasing operational efficiency by promoting cooperation between the Town and the Union.
(c) Improving service to the public.
(d) Promoting education and training of the bargaining unit members, and
(e) Reviewing and discussing general areas of concerns.
Labour Management Meeting. The Employer and the Union agree to meet for the purposes of promoting cooperation between the Employer and the union and discussing issues relating to the work force which affect the parties or any employees bound by this collective agreement. Both parties agree to meet quarterly , the chair rotates, the Employer will take minutes and both parties agree upon the minutes prior to distribution. The Employer agrees to maintain regular base wages for up to four
Labour Management Meeting. The Union and the Employer agree to have labour management meetings periodically to discuss work related issues and/or concerns arising out of the application and interpretation of the present Collective Agreement. Ideally, meetings will take place on a monthly basis. As far as it is practicable to do so, the parties may advise each other in advance of the issues for discussion at the meeting and meeting minutes will be produced. Employees will be fully compensated for lost wages. “The parties further agree that a regular item for discussion shall be the Employer’s uniforms/linen services/first aid and defibrillator purchasing practices. This discussion shall be of an advisory nature.
Labour Management Meeting. It is also understood that the program is funded by the Ministry of Education on a yearly basis. The Board will endeavor to advise the E.S.S. President as soon as it is made aware that the Ministry of Education will cancel and/or expand the program.
Labour Management Meeting. The Union Committee shall meet with the Employer as follows:
1. Meet on a monthly basis if required.
2. Review issues that may arise concerning the application and operation of the Collective Agreement.
3. Identify, discuss and review rules and policies that will enhance that application and operation within the workplace.
4. Minutes shall be kept as a record of the matters discussed during these meetings and posted.
5. Where it is agreed between the Parties that there are no issues it will not be necessary to convene the monthly meeting.
6. These meetings will be at the employee’s regular rate of pay for all hours.
7. The makeup of the Committee will be an equal number appointed by the Union and the Credit Union.
8. As per the terms of Reference, which may be found on the intranet or the bulletin board, which will be reviewed annually.
