LUNCH PERIODS, REST PERIODS. The District shall establish an unpaid uninterrupted lunch period of not less than one-half (1/2) hour for each bargaining unit employee working five (5) or more consecutive hours per day. The District shall provide one (1) paid fifteen (15) minute rest period for each bargaining unit employee for each four (4) hour consecutive period worked at times approved by the immediate supervisor, but not during the first or last hour of the workday.

LUNCH PERIODS, REST PERIODS. Each employee who works a minimum of five (5) hours will be provided a one-half (1/2) hour unpaid lunch period. Lunch periods will normally be scheduled after four (4) hours work. Employees will be allowed a fifteen (15) minute rest period approximately half way between the start of their work day and their lunch period as scheduled by supervision. Employees will be allowed an additional rest period of fifteen (15) minutes approximately half way between the lunch period and the end of their work day. Lunch and rest periods will be scheduled so there is no interruption of necessary operations. Except in emergency situations, each rest and lunch period shall be continuous and uninterrupted. A suitable employees lounge will be provided and maintained for the exclusive use of the employees.

LUNCH PERIODS, REST PERIODS. Each employee who is required to work on any regular schedule other than Monday through Friday shall be given two (2) consecutive days off in each seven (7) day or other regularly scheduled shift period in lieu of Saturday and Sunday, provided that work schedules which do not conform to the foregoing shall not be considered a violation of this Agreement. All employees shall be afforded an unpaid lunch period of not more than one (1) hour duration between the third (3rd) hour and the fifth (5th) hour of shift except in the case of an emergency, when such lunch period shall be at the discretion of the immediate of such employees, but shall not be unreasonably withheld. It is agreed and understood that the City shall be the sole judge of what constitutes an emergency. It is also agreed that when an employee is required to work through lunch because of an emergency, shall be paid at regular or premium rate, whichever is appropriate, unless the employee’s lunch break has been rescheduled between the third (3rd) hour and the fifth (5th) hour of shift. Employees covered by the former Board of Health for the Borough of East York Local 114) Collective Agreement and who opted to retain their six and (6 hour paid day with an unpaid lunch break of one and (1 hours shall continue to retain that right. Each employee coming within the Local Unit shall be afforded rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes during each morning and afternoon at such times and places as may be decided by the Head of the Division, and the rest periods for those employees on shift work shall be during the first four (4) hour and the second four (4) hour periods respectively. Shift schedules that differ from the regular daily or weekly hours of work set out in this Article, may be requested by either party, and provided there is mutual agreement between the parties and, if necessary, approval has been granted by the Employment Practices Branch of the Ministry of Labour, such shift schedules may be introduced on an experimental or continuing basis by the City. Any such agreed upon shift schedules may be terminated by either party giving the other thirty (30) days notice. LUNCH PERIODS, REST PERIODS. 16.01 The Company agrees that there shall be a paid lunch period of not less than one-half (1/2) hour as well as two paid ten minute breaks per full work shift.. When an employee is required by the Company to return to the shop for lunch, his lunch period will begin on his arrival at the shop and end when he leaves the shop.   • Rest Periods All employees shall have two (2), fifteen (15) minute rest periods in each work period in excess of six (6) hours, one (1) rest period to be granted before and one (1) after the meal period. Employees working a shift of three and one-half (3½) hours, but not more than six (6) hours, shall receive one (1) rest period during such a shift. Rest periods shall not begin until one (1) hour after the commencement of work or not later than one (1) hour before either the meal period or the end of the shift. Rest periods shall be taken without loss of pay to the employees.

  • Lunch Periods All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted, duty-free lunch period after the employee has been on duty for five (5) hours. The length of time for such lunch period shall be for no less than one-half (½) hour, and shall be scheduled for full-time employees at about the midpoint of each work shift.   • Interest Periods In connection with each LIBOR Rate Loan, the Borrower, by giving notice at the times described in Section 3.1(a), shall elect an interest period (each, an "Interest Period") to be applicable to such Loan, which Interest Period shall be a period of one (1), two (2), three (3) or six (6) months with respect to each LIBOR Rate Loan; provided that: (i) the Interest Period shall commence on the date of advance of or conversion to any LIBOR Rate Loan or and, in the case of immediately successive Interest Periods, each successive Interest Period shall commence on the date on which the next preceding Interest Period expires; (ii) if any Interest Period would otherwise expire on a day that is not a Business Day, such Interest Period shall expire on the next succeeding Business Day; provided, that if any Interest Period with respect to a LIBOR Rate Loan would otherwise expire on a day that is not a Business Day but is a day of the month after which no further Business Day occurs in such month, such Interest Period shall expire on the next preceding Business Day; (iii) any Interest Period with respect to a LIBOR Rate Loan that begins on the last Business Day of a calendar month (or on a day for which there is no numerically corresponding day in the calendar month at the end of such Interest Period) shall end on the last Business Day of the relevant calendar month at the end of such Interest Period; (iv) no Interest Period shall be permitted to extend beyond the Termination Date; and (v) there shall be no more than five (5) Interest Periods outstanding at any time.

  • Commencement of Interest Periods The first Interest Period shall commence on the Drawdown Date and each subsequent Interest Period shall commence on the expiry of the preceding Interest Period.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods On completion of not less than three hours work after commencement time or on completion of not less than two hours work after the meal break weekly Employees will become entitled to a rest period of ten minutes duration.
