Maintenance and Custodial Employees. 6.9.1 The regular workweek shall be 40 hours. All hours over 40 in any week or over 8 hours in one day shall be paid at the overtime rates set forth in Appendix B. 6.9.2 If a scheduled school day is cancelled for an unused snow day in the calendar, maintenance and custodial employees shall be given a floating holiday to be used by June 30th of the year in which it is made available with prior administrative approval.

Maintenance and Custodial Employees. 9.2.1 The following holidays shall be granted without loss of pay: New Year's Day Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx'x Birthday Observance Presidents’ Day Observance Good Friday Memorial Day Observance Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday Christmas Eve Christmas Day Extra days: Two days during Christmas vacation One day during midwinter recess if such a recess is scheduled as a full week in the school calendar. 9.2.2 The Business Administrator or his designee may require employees to work on a holiday listed in 9. 2.1 with one month’s notice. Employees shall be paid twice their basic salary for each holiday day worked. 9.2.3 If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, Employees shall receive instead a day off on the preceding Friday or the following Monday, as the Board shall decide.

No employee shall be allowed paid vacation or compensatory time off for more than three (3) weeks during the period of June 1 through September 1 of each year of this Agreement, except with the Treasurer’s approval. b. The employee will be given the option of splitting his/her vacation periods. Vacation time accrued in any calendar year may be carried forward into the next calendar year only. Vacation time will not be accumulated past the second year. Vacation time accrued in one calendar year and carried forward into the next calendar year must be utilized by his/her anniversary date of hire in the second calendar year or it will be forfeited. If an employee has requested use of vacation leave which has been carried forward into the second calendar year, within six (6) months prior to the expiration of the second calendar year, and said request was denied, then that vacation time may be carried forward into a third calendar year only. If said vacation leave is not used in that third calendar year it will be forfeited. Should an employee be hospitalized or have an extended illness while on vacation, sick leave may be used instead of vacation time. The Superintendent should be notified of this condition as soon as possible.
Maintenance and Custodial Employees. B.2.1.1 The following annual differentials shall be paid to Employees who work the second and third shifts. These differentials shall be pro-rated for new Employees, and shall be paid over a 12-month period.

An employee while on paid sick leave will be deemed to be on continued employment for the purpose of computing all benefits referred to in this Agreement and will be construed as days worked specifically. In addition to personal illness or injury, sick leave may be used for the following purposes: 1. To make up the difference between workers compensation and an employee’s full pay while receiving worker’s compensation. 2. Maximum of three (3) days per year for illness in the immediate family. An additional two (2) days per year may be used for critical illness in the immediate family. (b) A probationary employee shall be entitled to sick leave after 45 days (c) The Employer may require medical proof of illness for any absence extending beyond two (2) days; however, where the record indicates possible abuse the Employer may require medical proof of illness after the fifth (5th) absence during one fiscal year. (d) Misuse of sick leave may result in disciplinary action. (e) When an employee’s sick leave has been exhausted they will be notified by the Employer, in writing, that they are no longer on paid sick leave. The employee must, within three (3) days of receipt of such letter, contact the Employer for leave in accordance with Article 22. (f) To be eligible for sick pay an employee must report his/her absence (to a phone number supplied by Employer) as soon as possible but at least two (2) hours prior to start of their shift. Exceptions shall be made in extenuating circumstances. (g) An employee who is off work and who exhausts his/her sick leave will have their insurance premiums paid by the Employer for six (6) months beyond the month in which sick leave runs out. The six (6) month period will be reduced by the amount of time an employee is off while covered by Family and Medical Leave covered by Article 22 (a) during the preceding twelve (12) month period and for which the employee was eligible but chose not to utilize accrued sick leave. To be eligible for payment as provided herein, an employee must have at least ninety-six (96) hours of sick leave accumulated when the illness begins. Convey the fact that asbestos only presents a health hazard when the fibers become airborne and are inhaled. The mere presence of ACM or PACM does not represent a health hazard. Do not intentionally disturb ACM or PACM. Report any evidence of disturbance, damage or deterioration of ACM or PACM to the Asbestos Program Manager. Take special precautions to properly clean up any asbestos debris which may be discovered.

  • Contractor Responsibility for System Agency’s Termination Costs If the System Agency terminates the Contract for cause, the Contractor shall be responsible to the System Agency for all costs incurred by the System Agency and the State of Texas to replace the Contractor. These costs include, but are not limited to, the costs of procuring a substitute vendor and the cost of any claim or litigation attributable to Contractor’s failure to perform any Work in accordance with the terms of the Contract.
