Maximum term employment. (a) Maximum term employment means a period of full-time or part-time employment that, subject to clause 12.1 Notice of termination of employment, is expected to terminate on a date agreed between the Employer and the individual Employee. (b) Maximum term employment applies but is not limited to the following circumstances: employment in graduate Nurse positions; replacement of Employees on maternity leave; Workcover; personal leave; carers leave; parental leave or long service leave; employment in special projects or assignments; re- fresher courses; supervised practice for re-registration and post-graduate training or any other genuine maximum term appointment required for operational requirements.

Maximum term employment. The Employer will inform the Employee of their employment category on their commencement of their employment in the form of a letter of offer or a contract of service.
Maximum term employment. Where referred to in this Agreement, maximum term employment means employment for a period in excess of six weeks, for a specific purpose and/or for a specified term of continuous employment not exceeding 12 months. Further periods of maximum term employment may be offered to you in circumstances permitted by the Fair Work Act, provided that a further such period in no way indicates that your employment is on an ongoing or permanent basis. As a maximum term Employee, you will be given notice in writing four weeks prior to the conclusion of your contract term as to whether a further period of maximum term employment will be offered to you. If you have been engaged as a maximum term Employee for 12 months, we will, wherever possible and in accordance with the Act, seek to offer you permanent employment at the end of your contract term. If a permanent position is not available, you will be entitled to one day of paid leave per week for the last four weeks of your contract term for the purpose of seeking alternative employment. ORDINARY HOURS OF WORK There are ordinary hours that we need people to work in order to meet customer demand. The number of ordinary hours that apply to each employment type is outlined in the previous section. This section outlines when you may be required to perform those ordinary hours, and what loadings and other benefits you will receive if you are required to work outside of these times.
Maximum term employment. 10.3.1 A Maximum Term Employee is one who is engaged on either a full-time or part- time basis to work for a specified period of time and/or for a specific project, task or tasks. An essential feature of maximum term appointments is that there is no expectation of continuity of employment beyond the expiry of the specified period. 10.3.2 The Council shall provide Maximum Term Employees with a letter of offer stating the nature of the engagement. 10.3.3 Where a maximum term position is converted to a permanent position, the Employee engaged in that position shall be offered the opportunity of applying for the permanent position. If the Maximum Term Employee is subsequently appointed to that permanent position, any period of employment with the Council (including as a Maximum Term Employee) will be recognised as service for the purposes of calculating the Employee’s leave entitlements, provided such entitlements will be reduced by any leave taken or any payment made in lieu.
Maximum term employment. 11.3.1. An Employee engaged under a maximum term contract is entitled to the same benefits under this Agreement as a Full-time or Part-time Employee (as the case may be) unless otherwise provided for in this Agreement. 11.3.2. The employment of an Employee engaged under a maximum term contract will, if not terminated earlier, automatically cease upon the expiration of the term of the contract or completion of the task or project (and the Employee will not be entitled to any notice or payment in lieu of notice or redundancy pay) unless the Employee and Veolia have agreed in writing to extend or renew the Employee's contract.
Maximum term employment. 18.1. Maximum term employment can be either part-time or full-time and is the same as fixed-term employment except: (a) The employment can be terminated within the specified term of the employment by either party giving to the other the minimum notice required by the NES.

A position is of a temporary nature and limited duration for the purpose of undertaking a specific project or task; or b. The position is vacant as a result of an employee’s absence or leave; or c. The position is funded from a specific purpose external grant; and d. It is in writing and is entered into voluntarily. 10.6.4 Maximum term employment may be terminated at any time by either party by providing one (1) week notice in writing. 10.6.5 At the conclusion of the maximum term contract, Pulse will initiate one of the below: a. The contract will end and the employee’s employment with Pulse will be terminated; or b. The contract may be extended once, provided that the total period of the contract does not exceed twenty four (24) months; or c. The employee may be permanently appointed to the position; or d. The contract will end and the employee will return to their substantive position, or a suitable position, which will be no less advantageous to the employee’s position that they held immediately prior to the commencement of the maximum term contract.
