New Initiatives. Bargaining unit members will be informed of new initiatives prior to the implementation date.
New Initiatives. 1. The Association and the District agree that the introduction of instructional initiatives and programs that will increase student achievement and support adult professional development are critical to achieving our mutual goals. These new initiatives and programs may be introduced at the district-wide or school-wide or multiple school level.
2. It is also agreed that the identification and evaluation process for all new initiatives and programs should adhere to a set of principles. These will include:
a. All instructional initiatives and programs will be aligned with district goals, New York State standards, curriculum, School Improvement Plans, Individual Professional Growth Plan professional development needs, and other pertinent criteria and standards;
b. All instructional initiatives and programs will be designed to begin and sustain the initiative or program with necessary resources.
c. All instructional initiatives will include planning for capacity building through professional development;
d. All instructional initiatives and programs will include an evaluation of the impact on student achievement;
e. All instructional initiative and program requirements will be clearly communicated throughout the identification and adoption process to staff charged with implementation.
3. The communication plan shall include conferring with the Association to ensure that requirements of new initiatives and programs are consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.
4. Whenever possible, the Coordinating Committee on Professional Development (CCPD) will recommend which programs will be in-service credit bearing or paid at the hourly rate. Matters for CCPD to consider are the funding source and the short and long term benefit of the program. When the funding is derived from grants, the needed professional development may be paid at the contractual hourly rate. Participants will be aware of the method of payment prior to taking the course or workshop.
New Initiatives. Permit the inclusion of the cost in the County’s overall waste management budget funding of new programs that will significantly advance reduction, diversion and recycling goals of the County. Approval of such new initiatives are subject to the approval of County Council and developed in collaboration with the Area Municipalities.
New Initiatives. The parties acknowledge their understanding that new school and district initiatives necessitate increased time and effort for staff members. The Board agrees to make every effort possible to provide to staff members adequate time to work on any new initiatives.
New Initiatives. (a) Promptly following the Second Closing Date, Vitol and Charlesbank, and their respective Affiliates, shall each use their commercially reasonable efforts in good faith to establish a new entity (“DevelopmentCo”) for the development and funding of new projects as mutually determined by the Parties. Initially, DevelopmentCo’s primary business activities shall be greenfield development projects, with an expectation of selling each project to the Partnership at such time as such projects become cash flow positive; however, the Parties may revise or expand this purpose from time to time by mutual agreement.
(b) From and after the Second Closing, each of Vitol and its Affiliates, on the one hand, and Charlesbank and its Affiliates, on the other hand, shall be responsible for. 50% of the capital necessary for projects that are mutually approved by such parties, so long as they continue to hold DevelopmentCo Units. Any equity of DevelopmentCo owned by the Parties or their respective Affiliates shall be subject to the restrictions on transfer set forth in Article V herein.
(c) In connection with the formation of DevelopmentCo, Vitol and Charlesbank (or their respective Affiliates, as applicable) shall execute a limited liability company agreement (or other similar agreement) substantially similar as the Restated GP Holdco LLC Agreement, including but not limited to the governance provisions set forth therein.
(d) For the avoidance of doubt, in the event a project proposed to DevelopmentCo (whether by Vitol, Charlesbank, the Partnership or otherwise) is approved by one Party (or its Affiliates) for development in DevelopmentCo and such proposal is not approved by the other Party (or its Affiliates) within 30 days, nothing in this Section 6.4 shall in any way restrict the approving Party (or its Affiliates) from developing and/or funding such project outside of DevelopmentCo.
New Initiatives. The Board agrees to consult with OECTA York Unit regarding the possible impact, on teacher workload, of any new initiative prior to its implementation at the school/Board level. In consideration of the Board providing the Association with access to the Board’s e-mail and Internet access service, the Association agrees to reimburse the Board for all costs arising out of their connection to and use of these services. The Association agrees to abide by the Board’s parameters on acceptable use of all software applications.
New Initiatives. The Parties anticipate that, as long as Hallmark or the Hallmark Affiliate holds the Stock, they may, from time to time, discuss, and exchange with each other, ideas, concepts or information to be used in connection with the creation or development of possible future initiatives, ventures, products or services, not contemplated by this Agreement. The Parties agree that this Agreement is in no way intended to limit such discussions or exchanges and that such ideas, concepts or information referred to in the previous sentence shall, without limitation, constitute Confidential Information (as hereinafter defined).
New Initiatives. The Parties anticipate that, as long as U S West has an Ownership Interest in the Company, they may, from time to time, discuss, and exchange with each other, ideas, concepts or information to be used in connection with the creation or development of possible future initiatives, ventures, products or services, not contemplated by this Agreement. The Parties agree that this Agreement is in no way intended to limit such discussions or exchanges and that such ideas, concepts or information referred to in the previous sentence shall, without limitation, constitute Confidential Information (as hereinafter defined).
New Initiatives. Where work or services are planned by the Employer as new initiatives (such as special events, new ventures, methods change, etc.) the new initiative will be discussed with the Union prior to it being undertaken in order to determine the bargaining unit status of the proposed work or service and the potential for eventual incorporation within bargaining unit work. Where it is mutually agreed by Union and Employer that the new initiative currently assigns work outside that performed by the bargaining unit the mutual agreement to proceed with the subject of a Letter of Understanding to be appended to this collective agreement. Such letter will specify the nature of the work to be performed, the duration of the arrangement, and the person or persons to be used.
New Initiatives. The Parties contemplate that the Final ISO Agreement will contain additional provisions to be negotiated by the ISO Board and NEPOOL to address the manner in which new initiatives by the ISO requiring the expenditure of funds not previously agreed to by the ISO and NEPOOL will be authorized and approved. Under this Agreement, except as otherwise provided in this Section 8, any new spending initiatives proposed by the ISO are subject to the approval of NEPOOL, and disagreements between the ISO and NEPOOL with respect to such initiatives must be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution procedures described in Section 12.1. Prior to the entering into of the Final ISO Agreement, NEPOOL will seek guidance from the FERC as to the appropriateness of continuing NEPOOL's approval right as to this type of expenditure and possible alternative mechanisms, including without limitation the possible role of the FERC as the avenue of first resort by the ISO for authorization of new spending initiatives.
