New Teacher Induction. Any new teacher induction program implemented by the District will provide, at a minimum, teachers new to the district with one half-day of district orientation and one half-day of building level orientation. Induction will be scheduled in August preceding the school year and teachers will be paid $150 per day.

New Teacher Induction. A. Newly hired teachers will be required to attend up to five (5) induction days of staff development meetings preceding the first day of attendance for all staff members. Veteran District 103 teachers may also attend upon approval of the building principal and superintendent. These meetings shall be conducted any time between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday. B. Newly hired teachers will also be required to attend up to six (6) hours of new teacher induction workshops per semester after school each of their first two years of employment in District 103. Newly hired teachers shall receive a stipend of twenty-five ($25.00) per hour for attendance at new teacher induction workshops during the school year. C. The District may offer professional development (PD) credit. D. Experienced District 103 staff members hired to conduct the New Teacher staff development shall be paid at the rate of sixty dollars ($60.00) per classroom hour. E. Veteran District 103 teachers may also attend upon approval of the building principal and superintendent at thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour for attendance at these meetings.
New Teacher Induction. A. The District and Association share a mutual interest in providing differentiated and flexible sources of support for teachers new to Xxxxxxx Public Schools. This support shall include an induction and support component with the following elements. 1. Prior to the first day of work, four (4) days will be provided to all new employees for the purpose of induction. These days will be divided as follows: a. Three (3) days for EPS orientation, human resources basic needs, district professional learning and curriculum content, and meeting with an assigned building support colleague. b. One (1) day for individually-directed time for set-up of the employee’s learning space, of which up to two (2) hours will be used for meeting with their principal/evaluator, reviewing their assignment, and participating in a building orientation. The employee’s workstation, furniture (student and teacher), supplies, and curriculum will be available on this day, and if not, a list of missing items will be submitted to the principal who will communicate a timeline for delivery. This day shall be scheduled second in any series of days provided. c. If the District needs to add or reduce the number of induction days, the Association shall be notified by June 30 of the previous school year. 2. Teachers new to Everett may attend up to five (5) trainings of two (2) hours in length after school throughout the year and offered clock hours and paid at their per diem rate. New teachers will select trainings based on need and relevance. Teachers new to the profession may continue attending for their second and third year and offered clock hours. 3. Each teacher new to the district will be assigned a building support colleague for his or her first year. Building support colleagues will be chosen from solicited volunteers and matched with new hires based on need and fit. 4. Building support colleagues will receive a stipend of $350 for regularly meeting with and supporting each new hire throughout the year. Building support colleagues will be limited to three (3) inductees a year. 5. At least two (2) condensed make-up opportunities for the induction of new hires will be provided throughout the year. 6. All instructional departments shall coordinate the scheduling of release days for new employees.
New Teacher Induction. Members new to the District, regardless of years of service or tenure status, are required to participate in the additional sessions after school hours occurring for district induction meetings and building level meetings for new teachers in year one of induction. The number of hours each Member will be required to attend these after school hours induction meetings will be in alignment with PDE, WSSD Comprehensive Plan, other statutory requirements, and the limitations set forth in this Collective Bargaining Agreement.

  • Orientation Program The Company will allow a designated representative of the Local or Bargaining Unit up to one (1) hour per calendar month for the purpose of conducting the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union New Members’ Orientation Program. Such meetings will be conducted during the probationary period of employees, and will be held on Company premises. Employees participating in Orientation Program meetings during their normally scheduled working hours will not suffer loss of pay at their regular rate. Orientation Program meetings will be scheduled by Management and a Management representative may attend as an observer.

  • Staffing There shall be a clinician employed by the outside contractor for EAP Services who will be on-site a minimum of 20 hours a week. The clinician shall report directly to the outside contractor, Peer Assistance Oversight Committee and the MIF liaison. There shall be three full-time Peer Assistants reporting to the outside contractor.
