Officer Leave. Upon request of XXXX, an employee elected to a state or national office of an affiliated professional organization may be granted a one (1) year unpaid leave of absence to serve in such office.
Officer Leave. Leave without pay shall be granted, when required, to any Association member 37 who shall have been elected or appointed to a position in the National Education Association, 38 Washington Education Association, or the WEA-Riverside UniServ Council. The employee shall 39 notify the Superintendent of the need for leave upon verification of his/her election or 40 appointment to that position. Leave shall be for the duration of time in that office, either 41 continuous or on a daily basis, depending on the nature of the position. Upon return, the 42 employee shall be returned to his/her former position, if available, or if not available, to a 43 substantially equivalent position with at least equivalent compensation. He/she shall retain all 44 seniority and tenure. 45
Officer Leave. One employee elected or designated by the Union to a full-time Union assignment shall be eligible for full-time paid leave, which shall be remunerated by the Employer as follows:
Officer Leave. Upon request of BASE, an employee elected to a state or national office of an affiliated professional organization will be granted an unpaid leave of absence in accordance with this Agreement to serve in such office.
Officer Leave. Upon request of the GEA, an employee elected to a state or national office of an affiliated professional organization will be granted an unpaid leave of absence, not to exceed two (2) years.
Officer Leave. Upon written request of MOST to the Superintendent, an employee elected to a state or national office of a MOST-affiliated professional organization will be granted an unpaid leave of absence for up to two (2) years to serve in such office.
Officer Leave. In lieu of benefits outlined in through Senior Officers, as defined in Part of the Police Services Act, shall be entitled to hours of Senior Officer’s Leave per calendar year, subject to the following: Such time to be taken in the calendar year in which it is earned; No time can be carried over to a subsequent calendar year; This time will not be paid out in cash under any circumstances; and Such time to be taken as time off at a time mutually agreeable between the member and the member’s supervisor. No reasonable request for time off shall be refused except as a result of operational necessities. This time will be pro-rated based on a member’s date. Notwithstandingthe above, in the event that a Duty Officer is called back to duty, they will be entitled to call back as follows: If a Duty Officer is called back to duty from their off-duty hours and has to attend the scene of an investigation, police headquarters, or other police facility, the member will receive a call back allowance of three (3) hours at straight time.
