Organ Donor Leave. Leave for organ donation is allowed under Xxx. Stat. 181.9456. The statute restricts such leave to forty (40) hours, unless otherwise agreed. The District may require medical verification for such leave.
Organ Donor Leave. Pursuant to applicable Minnesota statutes, employees who work twenty (20) or more hours per week shall, upon advance notification to their immediate supervisor and approval by the Employer, be granted a paid leave of absence at the time they undergo medical procedures to donate an organ. At the time such employees request the leave, they shall provide to their immediate supervisor written verification by a physician of the purpose and length of the required leave. The combined length of leaves for this purpose may not exceed forty (40) hours unless agreed to by the Employer in its sole discretion.
Organ Donor Leave. 36.1 Comprehensive leave eligible employees shall be granted leave for organ donation in accordance with King County Code 3.12.215, as amended.
A. Comprehensive leave eligible employees who are voluntarily participating as donors in life-giving or life-saving procedures such as, but not limited to, bone marrow transplants, kidney transplants, or blood transfusions to take five (5) days paid leave without having such leave charged to family leave, sick leave, vacation leave or leave of absence without pay; provided that the employee shall:
1) Give the manager/designee reasonable advance notice of the need to take time off from work for the donation of bone marrow, a kidney, or other organs or tissue where there is a reasonable expectation that the employee’s failure to donate may result in serious illness, injury, pain or the eventual death of the identified recipient.
2) Provide written proof from an accredited medical institution, organization or individual as to the need for the employee to donate bone marrow, a kidney, or other organs or tissue or to participate in any other medical procedure where the participation of the donor is unique or critical to a successful outcome.
3) Time off from work for the purposes set out above more than five (5) working days shall be subject to existing leave policies under this Agreement.
Organ Donor Leave. A. Organ Donor Leave shall be administered in accordance with Government Code Section 19991.11. (a) Subject to subdivision (b), an appointing power shall grant to an employee, who has exhausted all available sick leave, the following leaves of absence with pay:
1. A leave of absence not exceeding 30 days to any employee who is an organ donor in any one-year period, for the purpose of donating his or her organ to another person.
2. A leave of absence not exceeding five days to any employee who is a bone marrow donor in any one-year period, for the purpose of donating his or her bone marrow to another person.
B. In order to receive a leave of absence pursuant to subdivision (a), an employee shall provide written verification to the appointing power that he or she is an organ or bone marrow donor and that there is a medical necessity for the donation of the organ or bone marrow.
C. Any period of time during which an employee is required to be absent from his or her position by reason of being an organ or bone marrow donor is not a break in his or her continuous service for the purpose of his or her right to salary adjustments, sick leave, vacation, annual leave, or seniority.
D. If an employee is unable to return to work beyond the time or period that he or she is granted leave pursuant to this section, he or she shall be paid any vacation balance, annual leave balance, or accumulated compensable overtime. The payment shall be computed by projecting the accumulated time on a calendar basis as though the employee was taking time off. If, during the period of projection, the employee is able to return to work, he or she shall be returned to his or her former position as defined in Section 18522.
E. If the provisions of this section are in conflict with the provisions of a memorandum of understanding reached pursuant to Section 3517.5, the memorandum of understanding shall be controlling without further legislative action, except that, if those provisions of a memorandum of understanding require the expenditure of funds, the provisions shall not become effective unless approved by the Legislature in the annual Budget Act.
Organ Donor Leave. An employee who is an organ donor shall be provided administrative leave for:
a. Seven (7) days in any twelve (12) month period to serve as a bone marrow donor, and
b. Up to thirty (30) days in any twelve (12) month period to serve as an organ donor. The Department Director shall grant administrative leave to an employee to serve as an organ donor. Organ donor leave is in addition to any annual leave, sick leave, personal days or paid time off that the employee is otherwise entitled to. The employee must provide medical documentation of the bone marrow or organ donation before leave is approved.
Organ Donor Leave. Organ Donor leave will be available to employees in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. Employee seeing to take Organ Donor Leave must provide the Company with at least 2 weeks prior written notice of their intention to do so. Employees are required to provide the Company with satisfactory medical evidence in support of their request for such leave.

A. A leave of absence not exceeding thirty (30) workdays to any employee who is an organ donor in any one (1) year period, for the purpose of donating his or her organ to another person.
B. A leave of absence not exceeding five (5) days to any employee who is a bone marrow donor in any one-year period, for the purpose of donating his or her bone marrow to another person.
C. In order to receive a leave of absence an employee shall provide written verification to the appointing power that he or she is an organ or bone marrow donor and that there is a medical necessity for the donation of the organ or bone marrow.
D. Any period of time during which an employee is required to be absent from his or her position by reason of being an organ or bone marrow donor is not a break in his or her continuous service for the purpose of his or her right to salary adjustments, sick leave, vacation, annual leave, or seniority.
E. An employee shall be entitled to an unpaid Organ Donor leave of absence up to thirteen (13) weeks in order to donate a Kidney, Liver, Lung, Pancreas, or Small Bowel in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
