Orientation and In-Service Training Clause Samples
The Orientation and In-Service Training clause establishes the employer’s obligation to provide initial orientation and ongoing training to employees. This typically involves familiarizing new hires with workplace policies, safety procedures, and job-specific tasks, as well as offering periodic training sessions to update skills or comply with regulatory requirements. The core function of this clause is to ensure employees are adequately prepared for their roles and remain competent, thereby promoting workplace safety, efficiency, and compliance.
Orientation and In-Service Training. The agency agrees to provide orientation and in-service training, as well as professional development opportunities to employees in accordance with agency policies.
Orientation and In-Service Training. All orientation and in-service training of unit members shall be conducted during the 3 period designated by the Board of Education as the workday and work year for those unit 4 members involved.

B. The hours of service for classified employees on days designated for orientation or in-service activities shall be at the same rate of pay as if the classified employees were at their job stations. C. District in-service programs shall be planned by the District. The District will consult with representatives of the Association to discuss such matters.
D. The District will provide 1.5 hours’ paid release time once per month for the CSEA President or his/her designee to attend new employee orientation.

Orientation and In-Service Training. The County shall provide new hire orientation and reasonable assistance and training to newly hired employees. Additionally, the County shall orient and train newly transferred and/or promoted employees. If an employee raises concerns regarding the adequacy of training under this Article, he/she shall be given an opportunity to meet and discuss this matter with a designee of the County and may be accompanied by a Union representative, if requested in writing. The County shall provide the Union with an opportunity to speak to all new bargaining unit employees during orientation.
Orientation and In-Service Training. CHC shall provide orientation for any Educational Institution faculty regarding CHC, including policies, procedures, rules and regulations with which Educational Institution’s faculty and students must comply. When necessary or relevant, CHC shall also provide formal training on its electronic health record to assigned students, who shall not be allowed to start a clinical experience until completing the training. CHC shall also provide on-site orientation to the site, organization, and safety. The Educational Institution shall verify that it trained the student on subject matters consistent with the placement needs. At a minimum, such training shall include, but is not limited to, CPR, HIPAA and OSHA-specific training.
Orientation and In-Service Training. Section 1. The DHS will establish and maintain an orientation program for all new employees at each department. The program will address itself to the various functions of the various departments, divisions, locations and/or units of the DHS and give instructions in the detailed functions of the particular departments, divisions, locations and/or units in which the new employee is to work. The DHS will establish a similar program to orient newly transferred and/or promoted employees.
Section 2. Further, the DHS will expand its present in-service training program to meet County, State, and Federal requirements. The DHS will continue to provide in-service training. The DHS agrees to include input from line staff employees for these programs. The DHS shall provide the Union with written notification of scheduled orientations at least ten (10) working days prior to the start of such orientation. The DHS will provide the Union with an opportunity to speak to all new bargaining employees during the orientation process.
Section 3. The Employer will endeavor to provide continuing education opportunities to bargaining unit employees when funding is available. It will be provided in a fair and equitable manner.
Orientation and In-Service Training. 7.3.1 The District shall provide an orientation program for all new workers which shall include a scheduled time for a presentation by a designated ACE representative. ACE shall provide all materials for its presentation.
