Overtime for Part-Time and Casual Employees. (a) A part-time or casual employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than his/her regular work day, shall be paid at the rate of straight time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the work day of a full- time employee (full-time work day for Xxxx and Kitchen Helper is understood to be 10 hours). (b) A part-time or casual employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than his/her regularly scheduled work days, shall be paid at the rate of straight time for the days so worked up to and including the normal work days in the work week of a full-time employee, (c) Overtime rates as per Article 17.4 shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.

Overtime for Part-Time and Casual Employees. Part-time and Casual employees shall be deemed to be working overtime when required by the Employer to work: (a) Hours immediately preceding or following a scheduled 12 hour shift: or (b) Hours worked in excess of 42 hours per week averaged over an 8 week schedule.

Overtime for Part-Time and Casual Employees. (a) All overtime must be approved in advance by a Team Leader or designated alternate. (b) A part-time or casual employee, who is scheduled to work less than the normal full-time work day, and who is required to work additional hours shall be paid straight time: (1) for work after completion of his/her scheduled shift up to seven (7) hours in a day, (2) for work on a day other than his/her regularly scheduled work days, for all hours up to seven (7) hours in a day or up to the normal full-time work week (35 hours), (3) or, when replacing a full-time employee who is scheduled to work a compressed work week, for all those regularly scheduled hours up to the normal full-time work week (35 hours). (c) A part-time or casual employee, who is scheduled to work less than the normal full-time work day, and who is required to work additional hours shall be paid at time and one-half (1½x) only: (1) for work after completion of his/her scheduled shift in excess of seven (7) hours in a day, (2) for work on a day other than his/her regularly scheduled work days, for all hours after seven (7) hours in a day or in excess of the normal full-time work week (35 hours); (3) or, when replacing a full-time employee who is scheduled to work a compressed work week, only for hours worked in excess of the regularly scheduled hours, or in excess of the normal full-time work week. (d) A part-time or casual employee who is scheduled to work less than the normal full-time work day, and who is required to work additional hours shall be paid at double time (2x) only for hours worked in excess of two (2) hours overtime, not including any paid meal break which is to be paid at straight time rate. (e) In no event shall a part-time or casual employee be paid overtime rates simply by reason that the employee is required to work more than seven (7) hours in a day when replacing an employee who is scheduled to work a compressed work week. (f) To the extent that hours are compensated at overtime rates pursuant to one provision of this Collective Agreement, they shall not be considered as hours worked in determining overtime under the same or any other provision of this Collective Agreement (i.e., there shall be no pyramiding of overtime rates).

(b) A regular part-time or casual employee working less than or equal to 37 ½ hours per week, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked. Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of 37 ½ hours per week, where only the first seven and one-half hours worked by an employee in each day are counted no matter how long the employee works on any day of the week. (c) Regular part-time and casual employees may work six consecutive days with one day of rest without attracting overtime provided that daily and weekly hours of hours of work are not exceeded. Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked on the seventh and subsequent consecutive day worked, until the employee receives at least 32 consecutive hours free from work. (d) A casual employee who is working an extended hour shift rotation for seven or more calendar days shall be paid overtime based on Clause 15.11 (Overtime for Extended Hour Shifts).

  • Benefits for Part-Time Employees ‌ A part-time employee shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits (being those benefits to an employee, paid in whole or part by the Hospital, as part of direct compensation or otherwise, including holiday pay, save and except salary, vacation pay, standby pay, call back pay, reporting pay, responsibility allowance, jury and witness duty, bereavement pay, and maternity supplemental unemployment benefits) an amount equal to 14% of his/her regular straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid.

  • Part-Time Employees Employees who are scheduled to work less than forty (40) hours per workweek.

  • PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Regular part time employees shall be provided the opportunity to purchase benefits of one of the plans described in Article XVII, Sections B and C at the Employer plan’s premium cost. The Employer will pay the Employer’s monthly share of the premium cost at a ratio proportionate to the employee’s part time condition of employment contingent upon receipt of the employee’s yearly share of the employee’s premium.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee. Casual employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to such benefits as are contained in the “Addendum - Casual Employees”.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.
