Seminars and Workshops. Fees for seminars and workshops for which teachers will gain points that can be used for Highly Qualified Licensure will be reimbursed no more than the amount equal to one undergraduate hour per school year. Said seminars and workshops will be taken outside the Student Contact day. The amount paid for the workshop will be deducted from the possible three-hours reimbursement for which the teacher may apply, the remainder of which may be applied toward college hours within the same contract year.

Seminars and Workshops. 23 4.22.9.1 CONTRACTOR shall offer ten (10) seminars and 24 thirty (30) workshops. 25 4.22.9.2 Seminars will be conducted at CONTRACTOR’s 26 facility described in Paragraph 4.23.4 of this Exhibit, Monday through Friday, 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and will be directed at ILP eligible young adults 28 living independently. Seminars are defined as informal discussion groups to 1 present and discuss specific topics relevant to ILP YOUTH/young adults and 2 their caregivers. 3 4.22.9.3 Workshops will be conducted at CONTRACTOR’s 4 facility described in Paragraph 4.23.4 of this Exhibit, Monday through Friday, 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and at least ten (10) Saturdays in the year, 9:00 6 a. m. to 12:00 p.m. Workshops are defined as brief, intensive educational 7 programs for YOUTH and caregivers that emphasize participation in problem 8 solving. Workshops may also include college tours, community service 9 opportunities at local parks and beaches, and/or other education and 10 employment related site visits. 11 4.22.9.4 CONTRACTOR shall submit a written curriculum, 12 and pre- and post-test for each seminar and workshop that shall be subject to 13 prior approval of ADMINISTRATOR before the seminar, workshop or test are 14 conducted. At least ten (10) of the workshops will include interactive 15 curricula for caregivers. 16 4.22.9.5 CONTRACTOR shall be encouraged to secure 17 speakers and trainers for seminars and workshops, who are motivated and well 18 versed in the challenges faced by YOUTH/young adults today. 19 4.22.9.6 Seminars and workshops shall provide outreach, 20 follow-up training, individual services and life planning for YOUTH/young 21 adults who have been identified by COUNTY as having learning disabilities or 22 who are developmentally delayed. These YOUTH/young adults shall be assigned 23 an Independent Living Specialist to assist them and the caregivers during 24 seminars and workshops to answer questions and maximize YOUTH/young adult’s 25 learning experience and participation. 26 4.22.9.7 CONTRACTOR shall be expected to provide meals 27 and/or snacks for YOUTH/young adults and caregivers attending seminars and 28 workshops during the evening hours and weekends. 1 4.22.9.8 Peer mentors, former xxxxxx youth, who are now 2 adults, shall act as instructional aides and facilitators for small group 3 interactions during seminars and workshops.

Seminars and Workshops. Employees will attend workshops and seminars intended to upgrade the employee’s skills and professional ability when ordered by the City. An employee may initiate a request to attend workshops and seminars subject to approval of the Police Chief, and the denial of such a request shall not be subject to grievance by any means. Employees attending seminars and workshops which fall on a scheduled workday(s) will be granted a training day in lieu of their normal workday. At no time will overtime be charged to the City in granting training days. Employees attending approved job-related training, seminars, and workshops will be compensated as hours worked. The books and materials purchased by the City will remain in the Department library.
Seminars and Workshops. As of July 1 each year, each eligible secretary will be credited with 1.5 days and $140.00 for in-service purposes. Credited days and money may be accumulated without restriction. A maximum of 3 days a year (with permission of the supervisor) may be used for in-service purposes. A maximum of $280.00 per year may be used for in-service purposes. The allocated $280.00 may be used to cover all expenses including registration, lodging, food, travel, and miscellaneous expenses.

Seminars and Workshops. Sec. 18.1 - Eligibility and Funding Available Nurses who have completed their probationary period shall be entitled to attend a reasonable number of seminars and workshops which contribute to professional growth and service so long as such attendance does not materially interfere with the operational needs of the Baltimore City Health Department. Management will respond to requests for leave to attend job-related seminars or workshops ten (10) work days after such requests have been submitted. The Department shall reimburse employees for the costs of attending said seminars and workshops. A fund of six thousand dollars ($6,000) per fiscal year shall be provided for such purpose, of which at least two thousand ($2,000) shall be available for the use of the City-wide In- Service Education Committee and the Staff Education Committee for the purpose of paying for films, speakers, printing of the program, educational materials and building rental fees.

  • Workshops During the month of September or October of each year during the term of this Agreement, there shall be held at each University a workshop for Department Chairs at which will be discussed their roles and responsibilities as such. Representatives of the University, at its election, and representatives of the Association, at its election, shall be permitted to participate jointly in such workshop.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • Procurement for Goods and Works Except as ADB may otherwise agree, Goods and Works shall only be procured on the basis of the methods of procurement set forth below: National Competitive Bidding Shopping The methods of procurement are subject to, among other things, the detailed arrangements and threshold values set forth in the Procurement Plan. The Borrower may only modify the methods of procurement or threshold values with the prior agreement of ADB, and modifications must be set out in updates to the Procurement Plan.

  • Trainings Appointment of any length involving two (2) or more Consumers who might need to split up to join different trainings, group discussions, etc.

  • Technical Training The CAISO and the Participating TOs shall respond to reasonable requests for support and provide relevant technical training to each other’s employees to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CAISO Controlled Grid and to comply with any NERC or WECC operator certification or training requirements. Examples of such technical training include, but are not limited to: (1) the theory or operation of new or modified equipment (e.g., control systems, Remedial Action Schemes, protective relays); (2) computer and applicator programs; and (3) CAISO (or Participating TO) requirements. The Parties shall enter into agreements regarding the timing, term, locations, and cost allocation for the training.

  • Workday and Workweek The regular workweek of a full-time employee in the bargaining unit shall be forty (40) hours and shall consist of five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Flexible Working Hours The Employer will, where operational requirements and efficiency of the service permit, authorize experiments with flexible working hours if the Employer is satisfied that an adequate number of Employees have requested and wish to participate in such an experiment.

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.

  • Promotional Materials In the event that the Fund or the Adviser makes available any promotional materials related to the Securities or the transactions contemplated hereby intended for use only by registered broker-dealers and registered representatives thereof by means of an Internet web site or similar electronic means, the Adviser will install and maintain, or will cause to be installed and maintained, pre-qualification and password-protection or similar procedures which are reasonably designed to effectively prohibit access to such promotional materials by persons other than registered broker-dealers and registered representatives thereof.
